I really like the idea. While I do like some of the stained clay colors, some of them look ugly compared to the actual color. But I don't really like wool either. It's rather tedious to get wool sometimes. Support.

My main problem with wool is its texture and flammability, as I mostly build in Creative.
I like the colors of the stained clay - they are very versatile. But it would be totally AWESOME to have something that looks like colorful tiles.
Texture artists could even make them into ornatetiles if they want to.
I totally support this idea, but I want glass to be involved in the process. Maybe similar to the way you stain hardened clay with color, you can glaze it with a glass block.
Maybe instead, you could smelt glass and get melted glass, then 2 melted glass and 2 stained clay makes 4 glazed clay of that color...
The only problem is the fact that we have texture packs.
Adding a new item just for this would be pointless. And I made this suggestion with people who build things in multiplayer in mind, so there could be smooth, bright colored blocks without a resource pack.

I don't understand this since glass has nothing to do with clay. If you wanted it more realistic you would use flint or quartz for the silica for glaze. With this in mind it seems that the recipe would include either of these since they are readily available in the game.
I don't think glass should be used based on this. Not to mention; this could either give another use for flint (since most farm for arrows) or another excuse to mine extensively in the Nether.

Oh, okay. Suport then! Would be nice and more accurate colors.
Would be nice for the black stained clay to actually be BLACK instead of DARK GREY! It would be nicer to also not get confused with some of the other textures for stained clay. Support

I know. There isn't a really nice black building block in the game yet.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
My main problem with wool is its texture and flammability, as I mostly build in Creative.
I like it.

Some people seem to want the glazed clay to be crafted with glass... Now how do I add a poll?

It seems I can't add a poll because the forums think this thread is not mine...
Support.
Stained clay, as it is, looks like crap.
Thank you for supporting!
Thats weird
I don't even play Minecraft much anymore yet here I am on the Minecraft forums for some reason...

Actually, since Weegee posted, the forum thinks it's his thread.
support. but it should be crafted with glass panes around the clay for two glazed clay then dyed for colour.
