I think Minecraft should get a better multiplayer System, in the new menu, instead of just showing LAN servers and your added servers, it would show every Minecraft server, and some of you may be thinking that there are things like servers inside servers and it will be overwhelming, but you will be able to filter them, you could search a server by its name, or you could just change the order so it shows the most populated Minecraft server, people who do not like the new functionality will be able to disable it, and people who have already preset servers will have their servers moved to a favorite category so they can access them easier. You could also set the minimum number of players on a server or it will not show.
Minecraft will also have different features for connecting to servers, you could add a password to your server, so instead of having to add everyone that wants to play to a whitelist, you could just give out a password to a few people and when they try to connect, the Minecraft client will ask them for it. Another thing that is similar to the password feature is a admin Password, instead of having to go to your hosting website and run commands or change options there, you could enter a password for the server and have a ingame GUI,if you don't want to join the server, then you can right click on the server and a context menu will open showing things like, Ban(Player/All), Disconnect(Player/All), Change time of day(Integer/Day/Dawn/Dusk/Night), and some other useful commands.
Servers will also have configuration for it, of course they will be able to set the admin password, user password, and maybe even group passowrds(different passwords, different permissions(Similar to PermissionsEX)), but they will be able to add categories to there servers like Survival, Creative, Hungergames, Spleef, etc. so the players can find them easier.
If Minecraft gets this, it will make things easier, simpler, and faster for clients and it will help smaller servers become bigger.
