Well, it's been really bugging me how you can only stack slabs of the same kind, so I thought "Why not make different materialed half slabs be stackable?"
Nothing will change with the blocks except that you may stack different types of half slabs together to make a single block.

-Pixel Format Not Accelerated Problems in Windows 10 Reasons-
1.Old Intel CPU (2nd Gen and older) and these aren't ready for Windows 10.Please downgrade to an older version
2-Slow/Intel GPU (But sometimes Intel GPU just work fine from 3rd Gen CPU or newer on Win10)
3-Update Drivers (recommended for Dedicated GPU but not always for Intel's)
[This signature isn't to critisice Intel/Microsft or any thing of this sort, I am criticising You and You idiotness for not checking the requirements for Windows 10] (If you are annoyed of the ammount of the thread with a "Pixel Format Not accelerated" problem, plz Share this signature
Also take a look at this guide if you are requesting builders for a server/project.
Please note, if I deny a suggestion because it is already possible, then I mean it is already possible withing 10 command blocks (That do not spawn other command blocks) or up to 5 creations (Command blocks that spawn other command blocks) to make your suggestion.
If I critique your suggestion I am not hating on you. Learn the difference.
I would love to see these added, but as _ArcticMC_ said, there are a few different ways for this to be added, but most would be extremely time consuming or lag-inducing.
I would certainly like the idea of it, but there are only 3 ways I can think to do this.
Creating a block for every combo (Easiest to add, most blocks needed)
Making it a tile entity, probably the best option, but in large amounts it could cause lag.
Recoding grid in to half blocks. Would take much, much longer.
Either way, I've been told I can't disagree because of problems like that, I will say support for this rather redundant suggestion.
Ill disagree for you then.
There is no worth while practical way this could be achieved. Method 1 is doable, but for every new half block added, it would require a combo block for every existing half block. The number of combos would increase exponentially.

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.
This is a great idea, but there is 1 thing you overlooked:
Because of the basically infinite amount of combinations, this would take literally years because they have to account for all the combinations of slabs stacking up to 255 (the block limit).
No support; this would take an extremely long amount of time to code.

Well, if you consider 255 blocks stacked up on top of each other one solid block, yeah I could see that. But you're only counting one block at a time. Still, as said, there are still lots of combinations for 14 slabs stacked into one block (182 combinations actually.) Too bad there's not an easier way...
Hello everyone! Today, I have a small suggestion!
Well, it's been really bugging me how you can only stack slabs of the same kind, so I thought "Why not make different materialed half slabs be stackable?"

Tell me what you think!

Lol. would improve buildings so much! Tnx for the support.

Definitely would improve a few things. But it might be a little buggy.
Perhaps this could also be affected with Blocks, but maybe that would cause a few problems and I'm sticking with this and taking small steps.
Support.

I would absolutely love this. It could be hard to code in, but I support.

I am a friend of all Snow Golem kind.
Maybe add a block state to double slabs that would include the ID of the top slab if different than the bottom one?
I just don't understand what you mean by half slab, I trust you mean the bottom vs top part of double slab, but do you mean quarter of a block?

This would be so handy. it's one of my most wanted features in Minecraft.
Lol Tnx

I see what you mean. Too bad there isn't a easier way to code it. Anywho, thanks for the honesty.

Although this is going to be hard to implement - Support! This will make building better.
Not sure how hard it would be, but it would be nice every now and then.
Full support. Wanted this for a while now.
