Support due to the fact it makes things less tedious due to the disputation of said cargo comprised in both chests which make up the double chest in order to break only half of it without spilling the cargo within that chest.
This is also a logical decision because its as if the chest shrinks anyway (AKA: compresses the cargo).
For those that disagree with this because it is unrealistic:
1. They are just all shoved in there randomly, so it wouldn't really be in a specific place. Therefor this idea works as long as there is room.
2. If you are looking for realism, WHY ARE YOU PLAYING MINECRAFT!?!

Also take a look at this guide if you are requesting builders for a server/project.
Please note, if I deny a suggestion because it is already possible, then I mean it is already possible withing 10 command blocks (That do not spawn other command blocks) or up to 5 creations (Command blocks that spawn other command blocks) to make your suggestion.
If I critique your suggestion I am not hating on you. Learn the difference.
Sorry i think how i wrote made it difficult to understand what i was trying to say.
What i meant was, in the GUI the bottom half of it is what is in the right part of the double chest. so if you destroy the right side, everything that was in the bottom half of the GUI will spill out.
This idea suggests that all the items in one half of the GUI will teleport the other-half when you destroy that half.
eg. there is a double chest and there is stone in the bottom half. you break the right side of the double chest and all the stone is moved to the other chest. what if there isn't enough space? This idea does not make sense.

Well, not the same idea, but in order to fix the same problem.
It's all about "I'M TOO LAZY TO JUST PICK UP MY ITEMS AND MOVE THEM INTO MY CHESTS"
3 year dead thread. Ain't nobody gonna reply to that.
Full inventory. Needs to move chest. Cannot pick up items. Throws out items. Gets more items. Places chest. Puts items. Needs more chest. Gets wood from massive surge of items.
Also, your point was that it's redundant, and now it's about laziness. First, if your mind cannot differentiate between "lazy" and "tedium". Tedium is that it's annoying, takes a long time, and just boring. Lazy, I would be lazy if I didn't do my work. Ok, if that didn't settle the "tedium/lazy" argument, I'll compare to homework.
I have a lot of easy homework, but about 5 pages of long questions. I would want about 2 pages because it's tedious, and I have other things to do, like water the plants and walk the dog.
I hope you understand now why people support this.

My Avatar is a Dalek, therefor your argument is... EXTERMINATED!!!
You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.
Wow I haven't been very active on the forums. That's a lot of support. Just for a simple thought that I figured had been thought of already. Thanks I guess? Anyways, if this were made into a mod, or sent in to Mojang or something. That would be cool
I'm half-n-half on this as it makes sense to me both ways, but there have been so many times that I thought I was breaking the empty half of a double only to have items spill out all over the place.
So much sense in one post... I am speechless... Support
I fail to see how this has 'so much sense'. If you take a large chest and fill it with things and then break one side of the chest, the things don't just magically transport themselves to the other side. No, they stay in their side and without a support... they fall out.
Especially useful if you play with a lot of mods and have to keep moving chests, all sorts of modded miscellaneous junk, etc.
This is also a logical decision because its as if the chest shrinks anyway (AKA: compresses the cargo).
