I'm ChocoParrot, and this is my first post here about a vanilla 'mod'. It's a non-laggy redstone and command block based mod that is used to introduce more variations of rails. The tutorial is located in a world which can be downloaded here. Note that I will NOT be posting bits and pieces here for people who are impatient to download and read the world tutorial.
If you're looking for the schematic ONLY. It's here. To activate the SRV command blocks. Just press the button on the green wool in the schematic in a world and you're good to go!
Don't post bugs here if you find one. PM me instead.
I would support this if I had the least bit of an idea as to what it does. All the OP says is that it "is used to introduce more variations of rails" and then includes a few incomprehensible screenshots. Then I am told I am supposed to download an entire world and read a tutorial, or I am considered "impatient."
How about adding JUST A MERE SENTENCE OR TWO that describes this thing?
Explaining your mod is your responsibility, not ours.

He's already done that in the world. Screw you, this thing is epic. It's too complex to explain in a sentence or two.
This "mod" allows you to create vehicles called SRVs which can ride on special roads. You make these SRVs by tossing an SRV core (gained from mining 30 redstone ore) at a minecart. Roads are made with: redstone block, X above that, and Y above that. X is a type of stair. Wood = 2 blocks/sec speed. Stone brick = 10 blocks/sec. Cobblestone = 20 blocks/sec. Quartz = 40 blocks/sec. Y is whatever block you want. The SRV moves in the direction the stair is placed. Alternatively, you can make an SRV elevator by replacing X with a slime block. Placing tripwire over SRVs creates a cool effect. You can also replace X with any block and the redstone block with a lever, and it works as a start-and-stopper.
Also, this isn't for support. And you can download the world just fine, Mr. "The planet has to be exactly how I want it".
Sorry for the inconvenience. I was in a rush when I posted this thread - didn't have much time to post the tutorials and all, and hence uploaded a tutorial world instead. Thank you @SadGhoster87 for the explanation. However, one part is wrong:
[quote]SadGhoster87>You can also replace X with any block and the redstone block with a lever Basically a lever does not work. An ignited redstone torch does, however.
Anyways, I'm thinking of adding different minecarts and crafting recipes in the next update together with a tutorial. Here's a sneak peak:
SRV additions:
- Hopper SRV
- Spawner SRV [Spawns mobs] (Maybe)
- Water Collector SRV [Collects water in a cauldron whenever it passes near a source] (Maybe not)
- Farming SRV [Destroys nearby fertile crops] (Maybe)
- Large Area Collector SRV [Buffed up Hopper Minecart]
- Cactus SRV [Deals damage when collides or near entites] (Maybe)
- Shearer SRV [Shears sheep and mooshrooms and collect their drops] (Most likely not)
Other additions:
- SRV Cores are to be crafted instead of obtained by mining redstone ore.
- A schematic that automatically fires off the mechanism when placed in the world (as suggested)
Any other suggestions or so please post them here, I'll be working on this mod I get enough.
Hi ChocoParrot i was wondering if i could make a map using your map and redstone i would fully credit you for it. But i just want to make a supercool rollercoaster using this redstone and command blocks. I hope you get this message.

And then you go on to explain it just fine.
Using a grand total of 13 sentences.
