So, I have the Windows 10 Edition of Minecraft, and I've been playing it a lot recently, and what I've noticed in it is it's smoother graphics and more visual features that were originally not included in the PC/Mac version of Minecraft.
Like for instance, the swamp bone has murky waters that transition into clear waters when the waters cross between the swamp biome and another biome.
Also, when I look at the sun (not in real life, that would be dangerous), the sky starts to turn a darker shade of blue.
I've also noticed that the lighting of the landscape is also very smooth.
And not only that, but when I'm looking at myself in front facing F5 view, not only do my arms move, but my left leg slightly moves.
What I mean by move, is when you're standing still, and your arms just like, kinda swing.
Also, I see the object in my hand moving like my arms swing.
And also, the fishing rod has a 3D bobber now. I've never seen this before.
One final thing, the rain and snow start to like occasionally sway from side to side, whereas in the PC edition, it just comes straight down.
And when it's snowing in a snow biome, the leaves on trees turn completely white.
Why are these special features implemented into the Windows 10 Edition of Minecraft, even when it's only in beta?
And why only exclusively for the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft?
Is it some sort of Microsoft intervention code?
Is it not programmed with just Java?
SOME NEW ILLUMINATI TECHNOLOGY?! (lol jk, but I still am skeptical of Microsoft and if it's Illuminati)
It looks better because it was originally remade from scratch by a different set a devs, so therefore it has differences from the original.
The graphics and rendering engine of the PE and Windows 10 versions are miles ahead of the Java version, which will probably be the case for a long time until the Java teams wants to port over the new rendering engine.
I hear it's better cuz it's no longer running on Java Platform Entirely.
It's not better just because of the coding language, it was just simply optimized to run on phone hardware which happens to run like a dream when you port it over to superior computer hardware.
The Windows 10 edition is almost certainly using a better rendering engine than fixed OpenGL functions. When Java MC gets shaders we may see a similar performance boost (on similar machines).
Why a windows10 version of minecraft? And what is it is position next to the Original (java) Minecraft, the Mobile version and the console versions?
e.g. will the Original java version still be developed further or will that be end of live now this version is here?
Also personaly i added some mods to my minecraft experience and i wonder if this new minecraft also supports modding?
Java is a low level language and has a lot of limitations. Developing a version in a higher level language....well.....check it out and see for yourself. I don't care for the furnace or chest interface, but the performance gains are pretty incredible.

Java is a slow lumbering dinosaur, but that doesn't make it a low level language. In fact, it's "everything is an object" approach makes it rather high level.

Java isn't a low-level language, nor is it as limited or slow as you're making it out to be. Java's a high-level language and is pretty damn fast... if you put the effort in to optimise the heck out of your code, which is the true reason why Minecraft runs poorly using Java. Mojang has done squat in optimising the code overall and the game is still using the same code written several years ago by Notch when it was in indev, classic even I bet. When the game gets a rewrite to make the code more efficient, and once it moves away from prehistoric OpenGL versions that uses a fixed-function graphics pipeline, you'll see huge gains in performance, and visual fidelity.
Don't blame the machine for something the user screwed up.

Java isn't that slow. See above.

1. It runs better on lower end tablets and PCs. Also probably a bit of marketing for Win 10.
2. They're completely separate versions.
3. No, they are completely separate. Development on the java version will continue.
4. Win10 MC does not support mods at this stage. Since it is a port of PE, when mods do come the process will be similar to modding PE.
1) Personaly i dont feel that much speed improvement. Only that moving items in inventory by mouse is a bit laggy.
2) ok.
3) good to hear, think i stay playing the java version then.
4) Is the pe version having mods then?
Also i went searching for the folder where minecraft windows 10 edition is installed but cannot find it. Does not seem to be in the program files folders. So if modding is to come there is nowhere to put them ...

Yes, you use an app called BlockLauncher.

I would guess that they are stored in the cloud under your Microsoft account.

curious though, does Minecraft Windows 10 get the same updates as MC PC. I would think not but just wondering
Leaning the ways of the Craft
Nope, it follows Pocket Edition updates.

My apologies for my lack of knowledge on this, but are they going to be making a mac alternativeof the windows 10 launcher?

I dunno, I stopped at XBox login.
But yeah, I'm sure since it's been done by programmers who know what they are doing it would have something to do with it.

I really doubt it since it's now owned by Microsoft and and you can't play it unless you're logging into your Xbox account.

Yea, I figured as much..

Likely not considering it's designed for Windows 10 using Metro apps. And plugs into the Xbox Live service.
