Hello, my name is _IDoctorI_, or Doc for short, I want to know what you think is fun...
This thread is designed to gather information on what players are looking for in a brand new server, things that they've loved from previous servers and things that you've never seen that you think would be cool to see.
Thanks so much for your input, I will try to respond to all comments.
As a single-player type person, I take joy in messing around in creative mode.
Stuff like building incomprehensible artistic monuments, making useless Redstone contraptions, setting up sick Elytra stunts, or maybe just placing a bunch of mobs and killing them all with an enchanted diamond sword.
So yeah, I suppose then my input wouldn't be as useful.
Of course, a server could always use more incomprehensible artistic monuments, to give players something to look at.

Roughly 95% of Minecraft players hate Villagers and would be very happy if they were removed. If you are one of the 5% who actually like villagers, copy this into your signature.-RainbowGirl

Don't steal ideas. You're just gonna get Factions. You need to find something unique. You must choose. Otherwise, it will fail. Don't make a thread on our forum. Think of an idea for yourself.
I'd like to say that I'm not stealing ideas, I am simply gauging my target audience to gain a better understanding of what people who play minecraft today look for in a server. I am only doing this because the community has changed so much from when it first started.
This type of survey is generally called an affinity, it helps companies and communities alike to gain a better understanding of what they feel is important to them.

No more Minigames, "hub" "FACTIOS PVP YOLO SWAG" servers please.
To be honest, I'm pretty sure what you will create will be another generic server, just by seeing your lack of ideas. You must be new around here.
I like just plain old Vanilla survival honestly.
