Hi, I play minecraft a lot and i've felt like i've ran out of things to do on survival. I think a quest system assigned by villagers would be a nice addition because it would add an extra element of gameplay and it would allow players to obtain materials in another way as opposed to mining or caving. I think that the villagers' tasks should include bringing them objects or slaying a number of mobs. I know this sounds a lot like trading but just let me know what you think. thanks.
What rewards would you get from doing these quests/tasks? If you are thinking experience, well you can already get xp very easily just from doing tasks on your own time. I don't think that adding this in is going to be that much more useful. If you want to trade with the villagers, you can already do that. So what exactly would make this system any different? You are being too vague here and I think you might need to rethink the idea.

While I agree the idea is a bit vague... trading with villagers is horrible.... 3 emeralds for a loaf of bread? Get real lol
There needs to be more to getting 'rewarded' for your dues besides 3 emeralds for a string or loaf of bread.
So I support the idea... but would support it more if there was an actual base of something to discuss around besides a vague idea.
^^^^ Click it! You know you want to...
