I just uploaded my first roller coaster build on You Tube. I have seen many many coaster builds online but I had never seen a quality Xbox coaster. They might b out there, but they are all on PC.
So I set out to build a themed minecart roller coaster on the Xbox 360 that I would enjoy riding in real life. I have yet to see something like it. Insanity of the Creeper's Shrine comes closest and inspired me to do this.
Anyways...I figured people who frequent these forums are more knowledgeable and experienced than I and I would appreciate some input and feedback.
I was only introduced to Minecraft this October 2012....this posting is in January 2013 so I recognize I am NOOB.
one thing though, how did you get the jack-o-lanterns to light up like that ? didnt think the 360 had that function yet ?
i think it was a simple t-flip hidden light system w/ sticky pistons, he goes over a detector rail, which powers a powered rail & the t-flip sticky pistons
Well then, that was truly a piece of work, especially if that whole thing was a solo project.
I loved almost every bit of it...though I though those TNT would've blown up. =\
But hey, that was one heck of a ride with a very nice soundtrack to boot.

Bingo...detector rail triggers red stone, coupled with repeaters timed to trigger sticky pistons. I found that timing events to occur was kinda fun.

Oh, and door spam, nice use of rapid pulsers....
Thank you! It was a project my wife and I worked on in our spare time for fun. re: TNT...you have no idea how badly I wanted to blow that up....even now. Just because IT'S THERE!

If you did rig it to blow, then the world would not be saved every time someone rode it, but if they remain, multiple people could ride without a reload.
