Welcome to Block Zones, a map based around potion effects and using them for individual levels. For 1.8, 1.14.4 & 1.16.2.
The 1.8 version of the map uses Block Effects blocks (mod not bundled with map, Forge 1.8 instance required to work, a modpack version is available below) for 6 potion effected blocks which was the inspiration for the map originally (effects include: Leaping, Invisibility, Strength, Speed, Poison and Night Vision).
The 1.14 version however differs in favour of the datapack Bigger Beacon Radius bundled with the map (maybe a different version as a modpack with Peaceful Hostile mob consideration so only the important mobs to fight are considered not natural spawns using the 'I Want Hostile Mobs In Peaceful' Fabric mod).
The 1.16.2 version has been updated to be more inline with the 1.8 version but instead of using the Block Effects mod uses Alchemist Infusion. The template of the map is the 1.14.4 version but with the beacons made inactive, potion chests left just encase and the Alchemist Infusion blocks in place where the Block Effects blocks were in the 1.8 version. So it's a mix of the 1.8/1.14.4 approaches to the map but for 1.16.2 and with another mod used.
Map Trailer/Differences/DLC Level Announcement:
There is secrets from:
-Diamonds used for score/repairing,
-Secret diamond armour used to make combat encounters easier but also useful in exploration (depends on the enchantments you find),
-Enchantments to apply to the armour, and
-Potion chests so you have on the go effects instead of relying on the blocks. You can repair, enchant or rename the armour/free diamond sword in the Upgrade Station in the first HUB level.
