Hello everyone (the people who clicked on this link), i have created many adventure maps before but i have just stopped and i don't think i'm going to make anymore. It happened on my newest map, Dead Science.
I had almost finished it and made a copy of it so i could test it out and find any bugs or bad things i missed out on fixing, i found quite a lot really, i fixed them on the good copy, then played on the crap one to find more.
And then i made a bloody huge mistake; i deleted the good copy. I almost cried, all that bloody hard work gone somewhere that i can't get to. I'm taking a break of adventure maps for a while, i'll think about if i should continue with them or i should not. But the thing is that i haven't finished any of my adventure maps, ether they went in the bin or they got left to rot on them own. If you want to help you can comment on what you think i should do about it, but in the mean while i will figure out how to get it back.

Some people call me Bonkers, but I just think I'm free. Man, I'm just living my life there's nothing crazy bout' me
Just a tip if you do continue to make maps. Have a backup of your backup. What i do is i copy my save and name it what I am currently working on. Then once that thing is finished I get another copy and say that that thing is done. After i start working on another thing I delete my old file that i know i have already finished and have a backup up.
It makes it easy to move things around and organize and it lets you know which ones to get rid of like in your case instead of trying to figure out which one has which bug fixes or which one is a good copy.
Example:
Map1 save: pyramid started
Map1 save: pyramid finished
Map1 save: 2nd pyramid started
Now delete "pyramid started" so you don't take up all your computer space.
As opposed to:
Dead Science Map

Oh man I feel you on this, the worst that's happened to me is maybe a corrupt file and losing 2 days or so of work and that was hard enough as it is. I couldn't imagine how much of a blow it'd be to lose everything. Like everyone else says, just take a long break and a breather, clear you head and all that. and when you come back try triple backing up. Yeah it's redundant but it's better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the support, I've been quite stressed lately and the map getting deleted didn't help at all.
Oh dude, that's hard. Anyone who's ever made anything understands just how gutting that is to lose something you put your heart and soul into. My advice: take a break. Long, hard breather, man. It'll come back to you eventually.
Good luck, dude .
Thank you for support, I've been stressed lately and the map didn't help. I'm taking a break off for 3 to 4 weeks so i don't have my head blow up from stress.

I'll do that when i'm off my break, thanks for the support.
There are programs out there that allow you to retrieve deleted files. I think it is random whether any file is retrievable or not but it's worth a shot.
I'll try it out, I've been searching but i don't think I've searched hard enough. Thank you for the support.

Yes, i had deleted it from Minecraft itself. I tend to do stuff quite fast so i lose track of what i'm doing and do something i never wanted to do.

Okay, thank you for the help and support.
