Looking good Fishy. Although, I missed both your stream and Meapers's stream, so I can only see the finished product ;_;. Is that a command block, or a noteblock/jukebox?
Anyway, here are some Jungle planks. Constantly improving with my technique since I was a little rusty when I first came back.
I love the jungle planks, and I'm so glad I caught your stream!
Here's all of the planks I've made so far:
L->R,T->B: Birch, Oak, Spruce, Jungle.
I changed the Oak and Spruce to be shaded more consistently with the Jungle planks. I'm still iffy on the birch, but shadows on one side are a no-no, because it's a continuous plank idea.

Really neat plank designs! I like both the jungle ones a lot. Do they still look decent when tiled?

These are some really nice textures, and you've made an interesting choice with the dark jungle planks. For the birch planks, you could give them a solid highlight along the top, so that it looks like they have sloped edges.
So I've been messing around with cobblestone CTM, and this is what I've got
What it looks like in-game
Tiles with stone bricks (They have random CTM)
If placed right, it can create a border around windows (I noticed this when I was roaming around a world by LemonFox, and I think it's quite interesting )
All doors are finished, but I am going to go back and add some more details to them to make them less bland. Changed jungle logs, new dark oak leaves, changed spruce logs a bit, new acacia planks, and edited birch planks to fit the pack. Also new gold axe (might change), new stone pickaxe, new apple and golden apple. I also updated the carrots, but ill post them later. Can't currently.
Livestreams are going to be posted on my WIP page, here.
I need some help, I have no idea how to code the blockstates and I want to get the diamond_block_side to show across all sides of the diamond block except for bottom and top. Does anyone know how to do this because I am completely lost ._.
I think Sheep or someone else has a tutorial for doing blockstates and such like this - I feel your pain, because Iwould do this, but for the excessive coding with a strange system that I'll probably never really understand.
Okay, I'm not totally hopeless, and on the strength of Sheep's tutorial, I may have something that works:
You won't need to edit blockstates, just a model, in models/block. What I usually do is find a block that's in the same 'format' as the one I'm trying to make. You're trying to make a column (a block with a side texture and a top/bottom texture) so you'll find another column, like oak_log.json, copy the text over to diamond_block.json, and replace the texture names. Here's what it'll look like:

If you guys are having trouble with some sort of modeling thing, feel free to send me a PM too, I can make/fix up the files for you and send them over. I've done enough with them now that it's honestly pretty quick and is no issue for me at all.

So can you sift through my 200+ model files and cleanly convert them (100% same rotations) to 1.9+? No?
Were you one of the people who attempted to make a converter? If so, did you see the post that I made about the incomplete converter someone made (doesn't convert rotations properly) and me suggesting for someone to make a mod (or I suppose technically 2) that runs in 1.8 and takes measurements (be it screenshots or raycast distance) of all custom models and then attempts to most closely match that via brute-force minute changes (think machine learning!) until a closest match is found for each model. Perhaps using recorded data you could make some complicated formula that is able to do conversions outright.

It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out.
I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from:
being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin’ straight ahead.
Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

Streaming:Stuff that was finished either off/on stream.
Video of the stream will be here once done uploading.
@Teknician
I absolutely love those planks! You're just getting better and better
Tech, Meeps, *standing ovation*
It's actually really fun to watch the process, I would hope more of you archive your streams... Might get into streaming drawings myself...
@thecrazydudesrd
You should definitely follow his WIP thread for the pack, he recently uploaded the stream on his youtube account.
It's an emerald block.
Also I'm streaming:
Stream progress: Jungle planks, flower pot, more detail on the emerald block and I adjusted the colours on the workbench.

I'd say they tile alright.
@Ringoster Here's what mine look like, tiled 2x2:
Crimso, I'll try that out! I also might change the colours on it a bit.

for diamond_block.json:
Should go in assets/minecraft/models/block, and I don't think blockstate tinkering is required here unless you want more than one variant.
Let me know if this works
