To be sincere, I would prefer people to really understand what's the wrong with illegally redistributing other's people work.
Some people just seem so proud of themselves while screwing other's people work, though.
Like if prevent young creators to benefit from their creative work is going to save humanity from some kind of injustice.
No surprise that talented and skilled artist end up migrating to other, more mature communities.
That is because most of these leakers think they own the world and can have everything handed to them. They think they are hidden by the internet. The only way they can learn is by them leaking the wrong stuff and being arrested for their actions.

Oh, I see. Sometimes I read comments on facebook pages of illegal movie streaming services. It seems like its for "freedom" and such.
Big corporations are hiding content from them. Content they legitimately own already, you know. Self-generated content, and no labor of creative people behind it, you know. It's on the internet, after all: if it's intangible, if it's digital, no effort was put in making it.
The fact is that I'm not a big corporation, so that attitude goes beyond my comprehension.

Hi SleepingPie, I missed a lot of comments to be sincere, but I just read them all now.
Premise:
- at the time, I couldn't run Realistico or Continuum (that's why the POM is f*ck*d up) so I couldn't check your tutorial
- now, I finally have a new PC to run both Realistico and Continuum, but in the meantime, 1.3 prev 2 came out, so I simply use this
So I then made an updated, step-by-step, pictured tutorial about the right settings to use.
But yet, some people contact me, asking why the pack isn't working, while problems are already solved in the tutorial...
So, it's comforting to see smart people like you figuring out that stuff by themself : )

Why do you think Continuum is more fit than SEUS? From experience SEUS is cleaner, and better optimized. And it has a big part of what Continuum has. Volumetric light, realistic sky, gorgeous water, etc.

I just like the overall thing. Like the ability to have one solid place from where I can download it (their website - aside from preview versions).
And it's more flexible when it comes to settings (though the recent change of submenus is a mess - 19283 clicks to get to POM depth, really?)
I haven't been using SEUS from a while though, so I can be wrong.

Well you can look at my screenshots posted in that tutorial and form your conclusion from that.
My tutorial shows how you change the height. Also continuum is not optimized, you need a 1080 ti to run 60fps.
Some users can't even follow a step by step pictured tutorial: changing lines of code is just a no-no for those and many others.
It's 2016, Mojang should just implement shaders natively.
And maybe set up an integrated store for mods and texture packs as well, just like the App stores we have on out phones.
I think we can all agree with the fact that 80% of the users play Minecraft combined with at least one mod.
Making that process (finding and installing mods and texture packs) a matter of clicks on the same app should be a priority now that the game is kind of mature.
"From a Com-Sci major with a concentration in Information Security" nobody understands what this means.
I am a college student majoring in Computer Science, this major has concentrations (things you can focus in), and one of those concentrations is Information Security.
Things that involve DRM, especially with something has hard to secure as a Resource Pack, naturally peak my interest due to what I am studying.

I honestly think the best way to prevent piracy is having a separate launcher that can download resourcepacks without giving the user access to it. Like a downloader that applies the r-pack/mod in your mc install and on exit it removes the file.

It would have to apply it only in the RAM, not the drive, otherwise they could copy it while it's there.

That's also something I'm thinking about, though I'll need someone who's capable of coding a launcher.
If anyone knows someone who can code, just contact me: we can team up for that.
If the projects turns out well, there'll be a reward for the coder, of course.
I would really like to make available a brand new launcher, with an integrated store for everything.
This way, players can have one safe place to get their mods, while creators can have control of their own content, and get support by making their content available within the launcher.
An adfly-like revenue system could be a solution: you push the download button, an safe advertisement is shown for 5 seconds. After that, the content is already available in the game.
Once a texture pack is added to the launcher and the game starts, the launcher will load the pack in the RAM.

One problem with loading things in the ram is if you have too little how will people use some premium resource packs. I know most people using your pack have decent pcs but others might not. Though I am sure resourcepacks don't take up too much space, I have seen some couple hundred mb ones and with enough of those it could overload your pc. Unless of course you were thinking of a select one basis.

I'm not really in those technical things, but the Full pack takes like 300MB on the disks, I don't think it's going to saturate any modern RAM: to play the game smoothly, you should have at least 8GB of RAM, so space is not a problem.
The problem is finding someone who can code such a thing.
As wrote in my previous comment, creating one safe place for everyone to share their creation can benefit everyone.
Is it only works for seus? :/

Nope, Continuum: matteorizzo.me/help and matteorizzo.me/realistico/tutorial

I always loved SEUS, by far the best shader pack out there. But the Continuum team is making a great work, overall, and is taking it to another level.
Some might think there's some kind of conspiracy between me and the Continuum team, I mention them too often lol
But I think they hate me, they never reply to me on Messenger... Probably I'm just a horrible person.
That's true, but SEUS 11 doesn't allow to tweak the POM height, and that's a problem.

That is false. I get easily around 80 fps with a regular 1080 at 1920p and around 30-40 at 4k
