Minecraft has changed a lot since Thinkr started the pack. There are so many more blocks than there used to be, you can seldom distinguish a block simply by color. Visibility 2 will be vigorously updated focusing on *visibility*, even for those with color-blindness issues. For instance, i've changed the ores to have different shapes, so you don't need color to distinguish them all.
The blocks are done, but some of the mobs and most of the icons are of different styles.
It's been enjoyable working on a pack so clean and simple. Please let me know what you think about it,
Great i hope you make a good continuation of this pack but don't completely lose focus on Lithos i would love to use this pack along side Lithos i know you are a great texture pack artist and will do well

Don't worry, visibility and lithos sort of compliment each other. And I can reuse a lot of the block model scripting at least with some tweaking. I did 3D nether wart for visibility, then was inspired to add it to lithos.
Yeah, instead we get a rather imaginative simple pack.
If the author decides to make their own, much nicer, colour pallete, it'd be quite a nice simple pack for a change instead of what we normally see.
Edit: My bad, didn't read it all.
It's a continuation.
Still not bad though.
Thanks for bringing that up. Yeah the palette is still pretty close to vanilla. I don't especially like the vanilla colors but I'm used to copying them due to my work on the mostly faithful lithos. I should put some thought into color schemes, but I'm certainly not going to strictly limit myself to a handful of exact hues. Some people make that work, but too often it forces bad color choices.
As to it being a "simple" pack, yeah it fits that general catagory, but I'm more focused on making everything clear, visible and distinct, almost iconographic. progress it will be less "simple" than the original.
I'm specifically interested in feedback on the mosaic effect I have going on with stone, netherrack, sand, and dirt. Ie the slight random color variations between blocks. My first impression is that it looks great on natural blocks, especially at a distances.

I just wanted to post to show my support. I've been using this pack non-stop since April 2011 when Thinkr started it. I even contributed a few textures of my own for the IC2 and Redpower ores.
Thank you very much for continuing this great pack. If you need any help just let me know. I'm not great at complex textures but I can help with some of the simpler ones.
You, know I've come to agree with you. I started a heavy revision of Visibility today, now that Lithos:Core is complete (but not finished). Here's the progress I made today:
Visibility 2.1 is the beginning of a major stylistic overhaul. Going for a more solid grid, more consistent style and more emphasis on the "mosaic" effect.
This is Visibility 2, a continuation of a pack originally by Thinkr. Then the pack was maintained kyctarniq, and now it has been passed on to me.

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.

Heh, I can see how that could happen.
