i previous post i made said i would be glad to help out, now seeing i have not had a response to that
I decided to go ahead anyway, and i thought i would share what i have done for podzol.
Hey xDoodle, sorry I didn't get back to ya right away. I didn't really know what to have you work on I was thinking connected textures since mcpatcher is nearly ready. I've nearly finished big oak (had to figure out ctm) I still need help with the other rabbits and the elder guardian textures if you want to tackle those. I'm thinking of doing connected textures on the granite, andesite, and diorite and then carved red sandstone ( I went back and tweaked the textures/colors).
Your podzol looks good. is it 6x6 connected? I can't tell a whole lot by the picture but put up a link or send it to me. If you want me to include it in the next patch, just let me know.
Thanks for the help
Les
when i use misa les 1.8 on top and misa on bottom i use optifine mod but i get these glitches and the missing connected textures HOW DO I FIX THEM?!?!??!?!
I've been playing around with the connected textures and made a few for the big oak, podzol, and carved red sandstone. I also finessed a few textures but nothing much to speak of, just made them more to my liking. Be sure to get the latest MCPatcher to make these work.
I've been a little distracted playing Alien Isolation but I'm still messing with the textures...just not as often as I was.
Thanks for all the downloads! I'm surprised it's over 15,000. Wow. I did not really expect that but I guess I'm not the only one enjoying Misa's texture pack.
Is that all you have for dark oak connected textures? (specifically the rings) or do you have all 46 tiles?
if so, could I ask you for a template of those textures as I have been trying to get my dark oak textures connected.
Yeah, connected textures are a whole new ballgame. Did you check out http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/resource-pack-discussion/1256361-ctm-a-guide#methods
scroll down under Classic CTM to see which tiles connect and how. I'll send you a template that I made. My center texture needs work but I went ahead and posted what I had done (got tired of messing with it You can also make a 12x4 grid (64 pixels per block), and place my textures #1-#48 to see what I did. It's a lot of work for one tree, but Misa did it, so I had to try.
...It's a lot of work for one tree, but Misa did it, so I had to try...
And I honestly couldn't tell you how I did at this point... CTM for tree rings is still one of those things that took so much trial and error to complete that it still surprised me when I eventually got it to work well enough. Organic circular patterns don't easily follow the logical rules for CTM that say the right angles of my chiseled stone did. Knowing there was no way I'd be able to easily repeat that work, I decided it was smarter to just figure out ways to recycle that art by recoloring it and using subtle, generic, tiling texturing overlays. A little known fact is that the CTM for my log tops was originally designed as an experiment for CTM with oak trees, and was later recolored for the newer jungle trees.
Last I was able to work on the pack, I'd actually planned on redoing most of my wood to just use that CTM texture with some recolors and maybe a few minor overlays. That would've been the most practical route to go. I had a lot planned for wood, really... Dark Oak kinda threw a monkey wrench in my color scheme. The spruce in my pack was as dark as I ever wanted any wood to go. So I basically needed to come up with a new, evenly-spaced color scheme for all 6 of the current wood materials. But I digress. If you want to do CTM log tops for other types of wood, I'd suggest trying to set up a layer rig that recolors what I have, and then work from there.
Edit: Dropping this here if anyone wants to mess with it:
Hi! I'm a Chinese, and many of us like this resource pack, may i just reproduce it to the our Chinese guys? I will keep your name on it and won't change anything in this resource pack.

Love your work. I didn't want to blatantly copy your work and just recolor it so that's why I started from scratch (that and open use of your pack prevents using things in the mcpatcher section Thanks for posting this..it's very helpful. Please feel free to point us in the right direction any time you can, I know a lot of people still use your pack.
Thanks!

Hey Misa, what i was going to work on next in my patch were custom potion textures for the potion of leaping and water breathing, now the idea for the potion of leaping was to have a very bubbly potion animation. I noticed that the texture for the bottles on the brewing stand has bubbles rising, and that is kinda the effect i am after though more.
Do you have any higher res versions of that texture you could let me work with?
Or anything similar?
Any help is much apreiciated.
XDoodleBug
No such thing exists. That animation was done at that resolution by hand. All I did was take the bubble particle from my pack, shrunk it down, placed it as a new layer (I forget which blend mode or opacity, but you should be able to tweak that as you see fit) then manually moved it up frame by frame with some slight back and forth, copied each merged image and pasted it as a frame on the animation strip.
For multiple bubbles I just took that animation strip and repeated the process, starting at a different frame each time and using a slightly different sized bubble particle. It was about as straightforward and primitive as it gets for animation.
NOTE: to work properly, load Misa's Realistic Texture Pack and then my texture patch above that.
Does your patch work in conjunction with the one by pscof42 : i.e. do I load Misa, then pscof42's patch on top and then yours on top of that, or does yours completely replace the work done by pscof42 ? I found mention of both yours and his in the misa thread as pointed out by (I think) Kumasasa ? and am now somewhat confused.

Also I think the date in your post is wrong on that update, as it is only the 15th of November so far...
I reject your reality and substitute my own Oops, yeah looks like I got ahead of myself. Anyway, as for the main question, you only need my patch since I made my own versions of the 1.7 textures. Be sure to get the latest version of mcpatcher as well.
Have fun,
Les
The new minerals, andesite, diorite, and granite, have their unique textures when I play vanilla with Misa+Les, but all three appear the same as stone when I play either Optifine 1.8 B2 or MCPatcher. Any ideas on how to fix this? Screen shots attached (I think).
I've had very similar issues with MCPatcher. The only workaround I've found was to delete the patch and rebuild it fresh. It's happened several times with updates to either the resource pack or MCPatcher. I've never used Optifine, so I can't advise on how to rebuild the the patch in that program. In MCPatcher it was simply open the program, click the "unpatch" button in the lower right and redo it.
Hey LadyMoonlightelf, I agree the 2x2 block idea kind of falls apart. And to make it worse, it can't even be placed randomly....so I had started an actual connected texture format and got even more frustrated. Sorry I didn't realize it until too late and didn't have any good replacement. I'll see what I can do to correct it. I have actually gone back to some of my original textures and improved those as well to be more compatible with the color scheme and Misa style. Seems there has been a decrease in interest since we're getting fewer updates and after Mojang sold to Microsoft, but I'll fire up my editor and see what pops out. (I just got parts in to build a new computer so it may be a bit before I get that all settled.)
Les, I just discovered your Misa patch. I'm using it to fill in some of the textures in 1.7.10 missing from LB Photorealism and my own work that tries to integrate cleanly between LB Photorealism, Soartex Fanver, and Deltacraft. I desperately needed a better-looking podzol texture than the 16x16 default. Dear gods, native podzol looks awful...
Oh, and fantastic work on the acacia planks. I just tore out all the floors, stairs and roof in my wizards' tower and re-did them all in acacia...
Hi,
that's looking good. Maybe you can cooperate with Les (wink, wink!) ?!
