For anyone who's curious btw, I'm currently just (finally) working on the OP so there will be pictures, new banners, new title and a new layout. Should hopefully look a lot nicer than the current mess! All textures for the next update are done though so it's just ready to go once I've taken some pics.
Full changelog is in the OP as per usual although now the OP looks a little different. Much neater looking imo. You might notice the lore section has been removed and the mods section now has no real contents. This will change soon. I plan on actually finishing up the lore for the pack and updating the addons+improving them to add a few more things.
Enjoy!
EDIT: Might need to wait for curse to verify the download - planet minecraft page will be fixed up soon enough too!
Man, This pack is legitimately one of, if not my favorite Texture pack out there. The pixel art is... well... perfect! (: The only thing I can think to make this pack better would be some interesting 3D model integration. Sorta like another awesome pack, Conquest. I specifically think that upside-down stairs being arches would look awesome in this style. Anyways, keep up the great work m8!
I'm definitely interested to try out more 3d models - I just have to be careful about what I change so it doesn't make things already using those pieces look weird.
Supporting arches sound really cool though - I'll have a look at what I can come up with and see if they can still look decent when used in a normal roof too.
Apologies if this sounds like a dumb question but I how do I enable the better leaves texture.
I noticed the folder containing the texture(s) and model in the archive and really want to try it out.
Can't find an option within Optifine that seems to do the trick and if I try to move the files to where I would imagine they go, the following happens..
I'm probably missing something obvious here but a kick in the right direction would be appreciated.
Well it's actually stuff for the better leaves mod (separate from optifine) so if you'd want to use it you'd have to also download that mod. I do highly recommend it though, really sweet mod that adds a couple of other nice visual effects.
Unfortunately though the better leaves mod support in this pack is a little outdated currently, it's one of the things I'm working on fixing up right now alongside the addon packs I worked on. So it's going to be a bit dodgy until it's fixed up, sorry!
Can you add some more life into the night sky? right now there aren't even stars. Shooting stars would be great detail aswell.
Yea, there actually should be stars, I'm not sure why they're not appearing at all anymore. I fixed them up just one or two updates ago too... That said, I've actually also noticed a couple of other bugs with the last update. My alternate textures for planks stopped working as the model files for them disappeared so it's all a bit strange.
Not sure why they were gone but they're one thing that's already fixed for the next update and now ALL planks have alternates too. I'm looking into the sky now.
EDIT: Should mention, I have a feeling the sky issue is possibly optifine not supporting multiply sky layers at the moment which would mean there's not much I can do about it or I'd have to figure out some sort of fix which would look worse than it's supposed to work. Not much I can do about that unfortunately!

The Pixel Perfection V3.3's sky works and looks plenty fine, could you possible use that as a temporary fix?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack

The Pixel Perfection V3.3's sky works and looks plenty fine, could you possible use that as a temporary fix?
Huh, is this with the 1.9 version of V3.3?
If so, I think it's time for some investigating! I didn't change much at all between those two versions in regards to the sky iirc...
In any case, thanks for mentioning that, should make it easier to find out what's wrong!
EDIT: I fixed it!
Turns out you can only have the sky rotate one way. Having a negative number for the rotation just makes the sky not appear at all. Will be in the next update along with the new 1.10 mobs.
EDIT2: If you want to fix it for this version yourself, open up the .zip file, navigate to assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/sky/world0 and then open up the sky3.properties file with notepad or something. Simply remove the '-' next to the 'speed' value, save your changes and it will work fine.
Hi! I just made an account on these forums to thank you for your work on this pack. I've been playing Minecraft on consoles for a few years, but I'm new to the PC version and how things are done differently. This is the nicest texture pack I've ever seen.
Thanks a lot guys! Glad you like the pack that much.
Thanks b_vlletproof for the review too, it's very nicely done. I agree with what you said about my red sand, it's a bit too pink so I'll tweak the colours a bit I think!
If anyone is curious what I'm up to, I'm working on the polar bear from 1.10 and adding a couple more alternate textures for the plank textures. I'm also finally making it so the variants work on stairs and slabs too as they currently just use the base texture and have no alternates which makes roofs look pretty dull.
Currently going to have 3 textures for each type of plank, they're almost all complete now too (just working on the last plank type actually).
Good to know. You seem to be quite close to completion, which is great.
About alternate textures, do you mean there is a different one for each side of a block, or such? I'm not sure about this, I didn't play for months so I think I missed some of the changes...
I've just added some simple variant blocks so the wood grain changes a little bit and there are some more interesting little features that pop up from time to time. You can see in the pic that I've got some variants for all except the jungle planks currently (4th set of planks there).
They're pretty simple so you'll see the exact same texture on each side of the block but it's quite annoying to make each side of a block have a different randomised texture with the vanilla modeling system unfortunately...
LOVE the pack, awesome job sir Sheep. However, I have noticed that, for whatever reason, (might be me) Optifine doesn't cause the glass panes to use connected textures. Any plans on adding that, or if it's implemented, what might I be doing wrong, since the other connected textures are working fine?
Thanks mc, it's my favourite as well. I think a couple of the other textures still need a little adjustment (looking at you, acacia) but at least I've got all the code for the models done now so I can just edit the textures very easily!
Finally got the stairs and slabs done. Took a tonne of time to do the stairs just because of how many different ways they can be placed. Still, it's finished now so I'm pretty happy about that!
Now I'm going to go back and add stairs and slabs for the other blocks I have alternate textures for. I think it's the stone bricks, cobble, bricks and possibly normal sandstone? (not sure about that one)
Yup, nether is now like a big old BBQ!

Thanks for the feedback!
Hot damn, was not expecting that at all. Looks amazing!
How long (approx) do you think that's taken to build?

No worries buddy, it looks really good so far. Make sure to post the finished version as well, I'd love to see it in all its glory!
Are you gonna update your pack with the 1.10 mobs soon? Can't wait to see how they look.
Yup! Working on the husk currently. I'll try get some pics up when they're done.
Cheers noodaa!

This is a great texture pack.
Can I transfer your texture package to mcbbs?
Let more people know about it.

Looks great! I absolutely love the oak CTM, it flows perfectly!

Cool beans dude,
I'll be happy to download when it comes out.
Can't beat good looking wood
