I love glowstone, but I'd like to make a OptiFine version where in the Nether it looks less like a lantern and more crude.
I'd also probably go crazy with the biome differentiating textures thing, that is if I learned CTM. ;-;
I can make models and vaguely make sound effects but not much else.
I did suggest that she send me a copy of her workfiles through Dropbox for this very reason, but she hasn't done so since then. *shrugs*
I do have an archive of as much of the old stuff as I could get, though.
The folder is 1.2 gigs and is insanely disorganized. And I mean REALLY disorganized. I'm still breaking apart files because photoshop is having trouble handling all the layers. You sure you want it?

You'd be surprised at how efficiently organized I can make it. I've done wonders with XHTML using MS Word through Calibri making a pig's breakfast out of the code it spits out for e-books.
So 1.11's new features are announced, a lot of it is cool new systems so no worries, you won't be overwhelmed with textures.
Though the new items that will need textures (Not really "Need", I mean no one's forcing you, lol) are pretty unique and look like you could have a ton of fun retexuring them for the different packs.

Oyoy, how's it?
Just coming to callout, 1.11 is out, and has a few interesting new textures.
Shulker box seems to share Shulker's texture, i think it's been renamed, cause the mob is appearing with the vanilla texture. It's dyable, but i'm not sure if it's base texture is purple or it simply comes pre-dyed. It may screw some of the pack's designs (especially the sin-eater thingy from medieval), so i guess you'd have to get some new ideas ... they're crafted with Shulkers Shells, which are just shulker shells
Lhamas. they're beautiful and perfect. Their "saddle" have different patterns depending on the carpet used (16 in total), so it's not just different colors. the green one has a creeper pattern, it's cool. their GUI seems to be related to the Horse's one, but it has different slots, you might check out might have to redo it...
The wicked villagers: Vindicator, who's just an angry villager. He has a axe, so you can take that into consideration in his textures. The Evoker, who's a summonny guy. it seems he has a new entity used just for his attacks.
Vexes are little ghosties, they have iron swords and pass walls. the Evoker spawns them, so they may be conected.
Obsever block, i've no idea what it is or what it does, but it's redstone stuff
Nitwit, the old green villager, now spawns normally, his only function is occupiying space, since she has no trades, but now it needs a texture.
Totem of undying, it ressurects you, basically. it has a new animation, but it seems to be based off already existing particles, so you're good
Exploration maps detect ocean monuments and wood mansions, they seem to be slighty different than normal maps, but i'm not even sure how the normal map textures work, so i've no idea on this one either, sorry. The villagers who sell them are variants of the librarian, so there's no new texture to them
Anyway, i believe that's all, sorry to give ya more work, hehe. If ya need suggestions, we're (or at least i am) here.
I can't think of anything you missed, so yeah, I think that's everything.
Oh, and Observer blocks detect block updates, It's basically a BUD as a block now.
So, you could use it to power something so when the pumpkin grows it instantly pushes it with a piston into a hopper or whatever.
Also, I kinda like the idea of the HellMouth being able to be a chest like thing, it's like Chester from Don't Starve! :3
Thanks for all the info on the updates, everyone! My friend got me watching Jessica Jones on netflix, so that means I'm binging it while working on textures. I'm going to try and get the Asian pack 100% before starting on the next update. It's almost there, except the enderman eyes are being weird again and masking the entire texture and I've ran into this problem before and cannot remember how I fixed it...
I'm trying to make the villagers look better. Unfortunately, doing a non-pixelated pack means that it's teetering on the edge of uncanny valley. These better? Or still creepy?

Well... both.
well, the default villagers are creepy already (who the hell has such long heads!?), so they being weird is not a bad thing for me. Tho, if that's not what you're going for, i'd suggest putting the hair bangs on the sides only, not going on the front, the model (it's lack of overlay, specifically) make this look reaally weird.

It's better with their hair on the front. Trust me. Otherwise they have these gigantic faces and it's even worse. My first iteration I saw in-game and was like NOOOOPE and went back into photoshop and scaled the face down and added more hair to frame it.
So one vote for better and one vote for 'still creepy.' I'll wait for a few more opinions here and work on some other stuff in the meantime.
I'm going to be honest.
Any human with a bread box for a head is going to look creepy, Instead of trying to hide it I'd just go with it.
I mean, Don't Starve is creepy but fun to look at because it's creepy.
Maybe do something similar?
But the villagers as they are are hard to look at, nothing to do with your art, your art is amazing, it's just Minecraft's villager models with realistic faces. o_O
Yeah, they seem a lot better looking in my opinion.
The bushy eye brows actually makes them work so much better.
They just seem to fit the skin a bit more.
Also, in your Asian pack you could use their abnormally tall head to make it look like one of those Asian ladies with those tall hairdos.
You know, the ones that look like fancy beehive hairdos, but with sticks in them.
I think I know what one you're talking about, and it's actually a traditional hairstyle worn by geishas. I'm avoiding making any of the skins look like geishas, as there is a little cultural sensitivity there, as becoming a geisha takes a long time of training. I have a good friend that sells kimonos and has done a lot of research around the subject, and while it's a-ok to dress up in kimonos, she cautions against people donning the hair styles and makeup of the geisha. It's actually a pretty interesting subject and I wish I knew more off-hand to share.
That was the primary reason why I asked; I wanted the raw files to help make new variants for mods.

Friendship is magic!
I actually use a color-tweaked version of the square block glowstone, but I think a color-shifted version of the blue gravel would work for you?
I don't understand what you're saying, sorry. I'm stupid today. ;-; lol

Bein' normal for suckers.

That's just my take on the matter at least.
Friendship is magic!
That's worth a shot. So: getting closer?
I like the one on the far right!
A tiny bit of cartoony look really evens out the creepyness of the Minecraft villager model.
Friendship is magic!
Non-creepy villagers, now available in the default Wolfhound! Try them out and let me know before I add them to the rest of the packs.

I can't explain things well lol ;~;

I can respect the cultural sensitivity of it.
And that's cool that you do too, the internet needs more people respecting sensitivities. lol
Also, I'm not entirety sure what's happening, but ever sense 1.9 this odd glitch has happened.
It happens with a few different resource packs beyond yours.
Is this a glitch with 1.9+ or did they change something with how Redstone textures work?
