okay so to start off today I should mention that a lot of the things I want to do are taking far to long, I might start working with 1.7.10 as well, just to see the work load division. There is so much more that can be done in 1.7.10 compared to 1.8's workload but I'm still trying. don't expect anything for a little while, learning isn't so easy.

Making it for 1.7.10 would be a mistake, trust me. As I've mentioned previously updating from 1.7.10 to 1.8+ is VERY difficult. You essentially need to rewrite the entire mod, and you don't want the mod to stagnate on an old version of minecraft. (1.7.10 is pretty damn old at this point!) That roadblock sadly has killed many mods (probably including the original bleach mod!) due to the authors simply giving up.
There are plenty of full-featured mods out now for 1.8 and up, so it is possible. You just need to experiment a lot Also I know this is easier said than done, but try not to get discouraged. The one thing I've learned from tinkering and making "games" in my spare time is that things ALWAYS take longer than you think they should. I can't count the number of times I've spent WEEKS programming something I thought would take MINUTES. xD
I'm going to look to see if there's any open source mods for 1.8. Looking through that code should help a lot.
I personally think 1.7.10 is the way to go, even if you decide not to go 1.8 for a long time if ever, since most mods/modpacks nowadays are in 1.7.10. I have done some work on a tabletop rpg that I think you may find interesting, specifically the "Zanpaktou" aspect. The TtRPG itself was not the best, but I really like how I did the zanpaktou and how it could extend to kido. I would highly recommend not using the same cost setup I have, you will definitely have to tweak that, and perhaps not add my way into your setup but more be inspired by it. If you do want to add my way into your mod feel free, you have all my permission that you may need, but in the end my TtRPG failed because it was too complicated and had clear power balance issues.
If something is too complicated do not let your whole project be put on hold for it. We will enjoy this mod even if it does not have fully customizable zanpakutos and hollow masks.
A suggestion I have, is perhaps do the basic abilities for every race before getting onto the more intense things.
IE: Fullbring, Kojaku, Shikai, Resurrecion before anything else (Segunda Etapa, systems, Bankai, etc) so that a specific race is never stronger than the other constantly, unless for a new update; and we can also get a feel for the bleach series we have all wanted, before anything that excites us more. That way, everyone is content at a time, then you may set up polls and such for which race or abilities people want added next.

Since you brought it up, I had an idea for Resurrecion and it's to have them(and Hollows) be based on Minecraft mobs!
For example: the Creeper.
Resurrecion: Right clicking will set a "charge" where you're standing. Shift-right clicking will explode all charges that have been set. A charge is an invisible entity(more akin to an armor stand) with the charged effect of a creeper around it.

Alright, I should clear a few things up. We are, at the moment, only working on blocks and the Zanpakutou item. We do have plans for Vizardisation and Ressureccion, but they are a long way down the track.
Now, onto a different topic. What blocks would you guys like to see? So far, I've made a paper wall, and three variations of roof tiles. I'm currently working on a plaster texture, and I do have plans for a paper lanterns. If there are any other blocks you would like, please let me know.

Actually, a lotbof mods are. And the reason for that, according to Oni_W'olfin, is that it is a lot harder to code for 1.8 than 1.7.10
That's what I've seen alot of, I don't see the view of "Mods stagnating and dying in 1.7.10" most mods that I see flourish in that version, and... yeah I'm siding with Darkstar1224 and Reaty007 in the hopes of the mod being for a 1.7.10 version, if only for pairing it with the LotR mod.

Minecraft has made many performance improvements since 1.7.10, and has many new features that I quite like. I very rarely play 1.7.10 modpacks anymore, since it's a bit jarring to me to go back that far (I had the same problem with hack/mine. Sprinting wasn't even a thing yet in 1.2.5 xD)
The only mods I know of that are still in 1.7.10 now are other anime/franchise mods. Those kinda clash with bleach anyways, I'm not sure why anyone would want to mix them. Also Jadon_king you're not wrong, a lot of mods have done quite well in 1.7.10 (if only because of the huge porting hurdle) however, mods will eventually stagnate there. Very few people play Hack/Mine or BetterThanWolves anymore (Although BTW does have a very strong, albeit small community) and I just don't want to see the playerbase for this mod evaporate as fast as it grew. There are plenty of good mods in 1.7.10, but the vast majority of actively developed, good mods are in 1.8, 1.9 and 1.10. You want to play bleach in middle-earth, whereas I want to pair bleach with the newest versions of thaumcraft, tinkers, etc. as well as play it with any brand new mods that are coming out.
You do make a good point. and you managed to make a path to the counter point, the porting hurdle appears (From my point of view) to be intimidating enough to make people shy away from putting the effort into moving up a version, as opposed to focusing said effort into additions to the mod itself. Tihyo (The guy behind the Super Heroes Unlimited mod) Jinryu (DBC/Naruto mods) and Mevens (Lion King/LotR) all fall into that category. To be honest most 1.8 mods I see are for utility purposes, UI add on's, a mob here and there, Lighting and blocks are what I find most of the time. Meanwhile, you find some pretty crazy stuff for 1.7.10. Again, I do see your point, but I see using the more diverse mods with each other as opposed to using one fun crazy mod with a bunch of utility mods.

I feel like in comparison to the shinigami, quincies were just too weak. Maybe it was a personal thing but that's what I think. I also thought that creating everything was a tad to hard. Maybe if you were a Quincy you could gather the Reishi in some areas therefore making them stronger, or regaining spiritual energy.

Soul Reapers/Shinigami are Tier One until Shikai, Soul Reapers/Shinigami are Tier 2 until Bankai or Visored, and Tier 3 for Bankai. If they obtain bankai (Which there is a 50% inability if Visored) they are now Tier 2 Visored.
All races may go to Tiers however each is scaled and some reset the base.
Quincy are Tier One Until their first use of Letz Stil, after which they are powerless Quincies for 3 MC Days. If requirements are met for Regaining (Given soul energy/reiatsu for one shot of a quincy bow, 50% chance of success or death.) Then a Quincy is now Tier 2, at Tier 2 a quincy may use more reiatsu/soul energy around them and use Letz Stil again if needed, however the way to become Tier 3 is Volstandig. After training with a new quincy bow for 3 MC Days, Volstandig is unlocked, increasing the users reiatsu capacity and also increasing their power as much as a soul reapers bankai, while being usable as much as a soul reaper's shikai.
Hollows are Tier One until they A. Become a Gillian, B. Become an arrancar.
The higher tier a Hollow is, the stronger they will be if they convert to Arrancar.
a Tier 2 Hollow/Gillian is able to A. Become an Arrancar, B. Become an Adjuchas
Adjuchas (Tier 3) transformation requires 3 Days, while Arrancars can be accessed at any time.
Same applies to Vasto Lorde, the final Hollow Stage.
If a Hollow becomes an Arrancar at Vasto Lorde Stage (Tier 4)
That Arrancar is automatically Tier 3 with a bonus 25% chance of gaining Segunda Etapa (default is 30%, bonus means 55% chance)
At Adjuchas stage, bonus of 12.5% (Total 42.5%)
At Gillian, Bonus of 6.25% (Total 36.25%)
Arrancars are born only with a zanpakuto after 3 Days they unlock Resureccion and Tier 2, they are born with an innate 30% chance of gaining Segunda Etapa, and gain a 1.5% every 2 days
(after 4 days have a 33% chance of gainging Segunda Etapa, with top bonus, 58%)
after Segunda Etapa, are a Tier 3.
Zanpakutou start as Asauchi, after three Mc Days Are given a random name (and a function for if you want to rename it instead) after they are named you have unlocked Shikai or Resureccion and subsequently, Tier 2

Hi, I am Jordan. I am a 15 year old programmer, well sort of. Its complicated but I will try to explain. I have always been into computers ever since I was a little kid. I first started to learn how to code when I was 11 and learned html and css to make websites. I then took a break from programming because I got distracted from hanging out with friends too much. I then started back up again in 7th grade and learned a little bit of java but proceeded to do the exact same thing. I had this problem where I was learning the material, its just i was never tasked with software to build. So I then fell off again. Then came my 8th grade year, and thats when I really got serious. I was learning a lot languages, trying to make apps. It was like that for me my whole eighth grade year. Then came summer, and I became too busy with hanging out with friends, that I did no work reguarding coding or any computer related topics. Now I am trying to start back up again and stay up. I feel like this task will help me do that. So I would really like to work with you on this. I have watched that old thread checking up on it for about 3 and a half years now, but it feels like its been longer. I was really dissapointed that it never was making any progress. I hope that this mod doesnt do the same.
Okay so a lot of you Might be wondering why I haven't posted in a while, there is a reason for that, my computer is one that I would describe as "okay" when in reality its fans are broken and the battery is busted to the point where if its not plugged in it lasts all of 10 min (most of the time). however it all pales in comparison to the the last problem. every so often my computer tries to update. When it does this, it fails about half the way through, this causes me to get stuck in a repair loop. When that happens I have to get to the system operations menu and do a full reset (7-9 hour wait time). I lose everything on my computer. and that is essentially what happened no more then 2 days ago, and this has happened a total of 4 times to me now. this is very frustrating because as you have no doubt guessed reading this far, I lost everything pertaining to the mod. For those wondering it was quite a bit, now moving forward I'm not sure what to do, so ill be back tomorrow to discuss the future of the mod.
