Maybe you could do an potion for first one, so we can choose best algorithm without restarting game 10000 times and then when we chose it, it patches directly with chosen one.
Thanks!
That's why I have the algorithm tester. Double click the BetterFps jar and open the algorithm tester, easy to use.
In the next version, you can open the BetterFps options screen and just shift click the algorithm button to open the tester
BetterFPS for 1.8.9 is not working for me. I have ran 1.8.9 before but nothing shows up in the drop down menu. I have checked and the directory for minecraft is also correct.. please help.

Also, 1.8.0 is working fine for me
What you mean by "drop down menu"? If it's the Forge mod list, it will not show there due to a missing feature, but it is working. You can press F12 to open the options menu
I'm not using forge. I am double clicking the jar for the installer. When I click the install button, a drop-down menu shows except it is empty.
You are probably using 1.8.9, right?
It doesn't show anything because the BetterFps version was made for 1.8.8, so it will only search for 1.8.8 versions. It works with 1.8.9 too, but for that you will have to use Forge, sorry.
I'm back to the development now, and I'll release a new 1.8.9 update soon, I just want to test it before releasing.
After that, I'll start working on the 1.9 update.
so is higher ms better, or lower?
EDIT: Holy Crap i Get Up to 300 FPS With Tylers Algorithm And small window for a 7 YEAR OLD PC!! How?!?!?! i need to try the others and see if i can get better.

I have a problem. I have forge 10.13.4.1558 for MC 1.7.10 installed and I downloaded the BetterFPS for said version which should be 1.0.1 and for some reason it does not even get loaded by forge in the mods tab and when I play the game it crashes. I tried installing the beta 1.0.0 version for 1.7.10 and it loaded and caused no crashes.
As said many times before, the mod does NOT appear in the mods tab due to a missing feature in Forge.
I don't know about the crash though, send us a crash report, please.

If you couldn't mine, it would be called Craft. If you couldn't craft, it would be called Mine. If you couldn't do anything, it would be called a ripoff! >:> My quiz-->http://www.onlinequi...assessment-1638
As far as I can tell, yes. I don't think anything in Mantle would break because of BetterFps. It shouldn't in theory. Just tell me if it doesn't work properly.
I got some questions: (for my laptop specifications)
1. Which do you think is the best algorithm?
2. Does Batty's Coordinates PLUS Mod lower FPS? Is DirectionHUD less laggy instead?
3. I'm currently using all three, OptiFine, FastCraft and BetterFPS, do these functions combined 'cancel' each other out thus giving lower FPS? If they do 'cancel' each other out, which choice you recommend for maximum FPS?
OptiFine and FastCraft
OptiFine and BetterFPS
OptiFine only
4. If they don't cancel each other out, Is using all three the best method?
OptiFine, FastCraft and BetterFPS
5. I use a 1x1 Pack, least laggiest settings, Defrag my system, use Razer Cortex, lest laggiest graphic settings, FPS Jvm Arguments, play on 1280x720 Fullscreen, regulary use CCleaner, edited registry graphic settings for even more FPS, I use Advanced System Care 9 Pro, I use ThrottleStop, Disabled unneeded services, Disabled unneded starups, I use the High Contrast Themes, Windows animations, etc set for best performance, I use Unpark CPU and Core Parking Manager. I DID EVEN MORE STUFF TO TRY AND IMPROVE FPS BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER or its just too long to explain on here
My JVM Arguments:, anything which you think can be improved?
Do you think there are any more ways to increase FPS for Minecraft?
Setting priority to high gives me lag spikes and keyboard to game delay on 1.8+, not sure on 1.7.10 though.
Using a virtual harddrive for Minecraft didn't seem to improve FPS.
As you can see from the mods I'm using, I'm a PvPer and I just want more FPS :3. Decent FPS is very important in PvP combat. I'm sorry for asking these questions, its because since I have a bad laptop, it would take some time to test this out myself T.T, hopefully your recommendation gives me even more FPS <3

1. It really depends on the computer. Rivens is the best in most computers. You can try using the algorithm tester inside the BetterFps Launcher (just double click the mod file)
2. I don't know how they do the math for rendering stuff in the hud, I can not help you with this one.
3. There are some features that one of these mod has that another one replaces it with another improvement, but they should not cancel each other.
4. Probably, yes, but OptiFine and BetterFps don't require Forge as opposed to FastCraft. Forge can make the game a *little* slower
5. No, I think some of these arguments are useless, but I can't remember any other that can help in any way

1.8.8 is totally fine.. I just wanted to update betterfps from 1.8.0.
Thanks a lot!

When will a 1.9 version be released?
its weird sometime i got 100+ fps but sometime i got as low as 20 fps, before using this i run on 40-60fps ,any idea?
Is this compatible with mantle?
Soon, I just have to figure out some stuff before working on a new version.
This happens in certain computers with certain algorithms. Try changing the algorithm, it might help.
As far as I can tell, yes. I don't think anything in Mantle would break because of BetterFps. It shouldn't in theory. Just tell me if it doesn't work properly.
Which algorithm are you using?
Just letting you know that I just released a 1.9 version. Download
when you gonna release the improvements that you said that you are working ?
