I'm getting a problem as well when trying to run on a dedicated server. I'm using quite a bit of MOD's, and it's the only thing crashing my server during startup. And ideas? http://pastebin.com/dZSaFyNj

This is what I needed to know. Thanks, working on it. Please use the Issue Tracker next time though, the link is in the OP

New Version out!
Beta 0.7.4
Fixes server crash about "RenderPlayer" silliness.
New Ability for the Slime backpack: besides the current noise when sprinting, the Slime backpack now makes you all slippery. Also when at night in a Full Moon you'll move faster.
Fixed recipe colored wool usage.
Fixed crash when using Bibliocraft armor stands (might fix other things too).
This mod is pretty flipping awesome. Not everyday do you see a backpack mod that you can wear said item in. Very nice job.
Though, I found one bug. It seems that the Smart Movement mod makes the backpack stationary in the air in third-person view. I don't know what causes this, but I thought that I'd tell you. Perhaps it's just that the mod, well, mods the movement, and as such displaces the backpack on the character. Dunno.Still, nice job with what's here. Keep up da gewd werk. :3

Smart moving messes with the player rendering.
Try using the backpack in a bauble and tell me if it works that way, the backpack uses a different method for rendering when is placed as a bauble.
I don't think baubles make a difference. RPG Inventory uses the same method and it's special rendered items cause nothing you hold or wear to be rendered when having something equip through a bauble while Smart Moving is installed. It's a shame Smart Moving is so incompatible with every mod that has some form of rendering armor... I enjoy using it with Flan's mod for it's sliding and laying down feature.
Maybe someone could make a specific mod for that? *wink*
I wrote the code for rendering when in a Bauble, for the backpack in particular, that's why I'm asking. Still, smart movement isn't too high in my compatibility list anyway, if ever. They decided to mess with player rendering, not me, not my fault stuff doesnt work ¬_¬
Nope, the Baubles idea didn't work. It's still a stationary entity in the air. Darn. I'm just so conflicted; I love the Smart Movement mod because of it's practicality, but I also love the Adventure Packs for the same reason.

Eat a golden apple while wearing it.
Could I grab permission to use your backpack mod in my modpack It's A Beautiful World?

Baubles is a mod made by Azanor (the creator of Thaumcraft) which adds in an API which mod authors can use to make wearable rings, belts, and pendants
