...I want to use PArachute mod, Smart moving, and others. But so far, this mod is completely useless to me
Welp, I guess not every mod can be for everyone, eh?
Anyways, sorry if this is a bit of a necro post (not sure if this is still in development at all), but I never got the chance to check this out. It's cool to see the progress that was made, and the ideas people had of things to add.
Of course, I still facepalmed at a few classic suggestions like 'I know it's supposed to be realistic, but ya'know... You could add lots of magic and tech... Because that hasn't ever been done before.' and the oh-so-common 'I know this is going to be a large, total-conversion type mod, but use forge anyway. I want more mods. And after all, once you've coded everything I still have the enormous task of installing it!' (note: I have nothing against forge. It makes great mod combos possible... But when people insist to make a huge entirely game-changing mod forge compatible, as though they're entitled to a change of the modder's hard work, I get a lil peeved. If you don't like it, don't play it, you're not in any position to make demands on a mod provided to you free of charge. (Sorry 'bout that. /end rant)).
If only I knew when I made the suggestion what I know now... Now I could actually make this mod myself, but unfortunately my enthusiasm for a realism survival mod is gone. What comes around goes around I guess, maybe the fever will come back, and this time I'll be able to do something about it! That is, assuming this version of the mod is no longer in development by then, and/or has taken a different path than I originally had in mind (Guess I'm a realism purist. All or nothing! ).
Welcome! The mod is not currently in active development, but the source code is available if you ever decide to work on it under an MIT license. The mod never really got very far in terms of content, and I agree with your realism purist ideals (no magic, etc.). As for Forge, the source code I mentioned is Forge-compatible with Minecraft version 1.7.10. It was fun developing this mod, but I just don't have the time to continue development anymore.
Thanks very much for the inspiration for creating this mod through your suggestion thread (even if I didn't get very far).

Alright, I've decided to work on this again! I'm rewriting from scratch for 1.8 stuff, so I don't have a ton of content yet, but here are a couple screenshots:
The new rock model. Slightly smaller than original, but has additional features to make not quite as "blocky."
Throwing rocks. Now much better than before, as they spin around as they travel. Looks quite cool. This screenshot really does not do the effect justice.
That's pretty much what I have for now. Unlike previous releases, this version will be Forge-compatible. I should hopefully have a beta ready before too long.

Sorry to say that I have not been working on this much. I got quite sick and have been out of action for the past couple months. I'm starting to get better, so hopefully I'll be able to work on this soon.
Is this mod still in developement? I'm not asking for updates or anything just wanting to know if I should download or not.
Sort of? I don't have any time to really work on it at the moment, but I should be able to work on it soonish.

I don't know where the Forge Beta went. I can't work on it now, but hopefully I'll have that back up sooner or later.

Waiting in anticipation for the next update. Take as much time as you need to get features right and fix bugs. Thank you for all your hard work.
Was going to work on a mod like this myself, but then I saw yours! Please tell me you are still working on it!
creator..... WHY Y U NO UPDATE THIS TO 1.8?!?!?!?!

Is this still being worked on? I was reading and I am quite interested in it. Please reply when you get the chance!
Meh. Nothing much I could say here yet. I am a newbie to PC Minecraft.

Pretty much, yes.

Even if so, this mod is still really fun.
Plus, I made a survival plan for it:
-Get Rocks, and throw them all to get flint. Keep atleast 3-5.
-Break some leaves, craft branches to sticks, and get cord from grass.
-Craft a flint axe head, and then a flint axe with 1 stick, one cord, and, of course, one flint axe head.
-Get mushrooms if possible. They're a very reliable food source, especially if you spawn near a swamp. If not, chase cows off cliffs.
-Get feathers from chickens using rocks as a weapon.
-Get Coal and Iron
recently rediscovered this account and the memories have been flowing back, let me tell you. it's INSANE.
