I liked this addon for 1.6.4 and just tested it for 1.7.10 a couple of days ago, and noticed that the Boots of the Meteor and the Tainted Ring can not be upgraded with runic shielding, unlike the Boots of the Traveller and most of the baubles in vanilla Thaumcraft. I haven't tried adding shielding to the Boots of the Comet yet, but I assume that the same goes for them. Do you plan on implementing runic shielding for these items any time soon (or at all)?
I like to build Thaumcraft themed bases and structures from time to time. Templates can be found here:
AlphaeusXVIII's creations - the templates require the Ruins Mod to work (the screenshots obviously don't) and the README!.txt file is there for a reason. Enjoy now with templates for 1.8.8!
I'm having really terrible lag when I place an Oblivion Jar. Easy 10 FPS drop when placed, and 10 FPS increase when I pick it up. Any ideas? I'd love to use this.
Does this work with Thaumcraft vers. 4.2.3.5 ? On the first post, it still says it requires thaumcraft 4.1. I am trying to put a pack together, but this mod keeps throwing an error after preinitialization.
Trying to create a talisman of nourishment. I've got all of the cooked food, the piece of obsidian and the primal charm.then I click the runic Matrix and nothing happens. Like its missing an item. Doesn't crash. Just won't infuse
It works with the newest version of Thaumcraft, but there are several things that haven't been implemented yet (runic shielding for the Boots of the Traveller's upgrades), the Souls Bracier is still WIP and can crash your game if used on a server, and the Boots of the Meteor cannot be used to stomp on multiplayer servers.
I really like the content of this addon, but it doesn't seem like whoever maintains it now considers working on it to be a high priority (Flaxbeard handed it over to Nekosune, but I'm not sure if it's been handed over to Vazkii since then). I wish that someone could prove me wrong.

I can't seem to find certain researches in my thaumonomicon such as the think tank, talisman of nourishment and the crucible of souls. I have unlocked all the possible researches in both thaumic exploration and in thaumcraft itself, but still some researches don't show up. Are they hidden researches and do I have to scan a certain item to unlock them? Or could the fact that I added this addon to my modpack after I finished all the normal thaumcraft research, be the problem? Any help is much appreciated
EDIT: Oh, I just realized that this mod supports TC 4.1 but I'm playing TC 4.2, I guess that's the problem.
It supports 4.2. The thread isn't updated because the OP no longer posts to this thread. If you were using the 4.1 version with 4.2 Thaumcraft, you'd be having a very bad time. You just need to be more diligent in your research is all.

Hello! I have been directed to ask here if it would be possible to make the Everfull urn fill up the Cauldron from the Witchery mod. Thank you in advance for your answer.
There's an ID conflict between Enviromine's Insanity effect and the Binding effect. In addition, Binding seems to prevent the player from changing y-position; I could not go up (jumping, slabs, stairs) or fall down with it active, and Creative flying was sluggish. I doubt that's intended behavior.
I think you should request this at Witchery HQ, because these blocks do not seem to be liquid containers; you can not fill them with fluid conduits or any kind of automation really, only with buckets (and maybe some kind of Botania water staff).
I know the original kettles were made to work with golems somehow, but they probably just emulated buckets.

They can be filled with pipes. I have asked the witchery mod developer in his irc and he told me that the cauldron is considered a normal tank for forge or something light that and that i should write on this forum, so i did.
Edit: Checked again. They are fluid containers implementing the Forge fluid container API.
Edit2: Not sure about this, but it was said there - The reason the urn doesn't work is it is a hard coded list.

Have you studied the things you've made for instance? Have you continued studying the world around you? It's a grindy process but well worth it.
Using the crucible of souls on wisps does yield essentia.
Who is currently developing TX, if anyone?
Nekosune.
Alright, thanks, then I think I have contacted the right person.
Dows nekosune have a post other than this one?
I like astronomy, and one of my ideas is a mod based around astronomy.
