I know that Techne is outdated and I really don't care. It's has a simple and effective UI and I can edit the file easily. Anyway, I was wondering how can I render the block model (.java file) made using Techne? And another question, what is TileEntitySpecialRenderer used for?

A TileEntitySpecialRenderer gives you full OpenGL access to render a block. This allows you to render things like a ModelBase model (e.g. one generated by Techne) or a special effect like the beacon beam or end portal.

So I need to use TileEntitySpecialRenderer to render the ModelBase model?
Yes.

Hold on a sec, if i use TESR, will i have to create a TileEnity class?
Yes.
If you don't want a TileEntity and TESR, use the baked model system (i.e. a JSON, OBJ or B3D model).

Is it possible to create a bare TileEntity class? Using ModelBase models is my only option, JSON can't create a block that is 2 blocks high or 3 blocks long without splitting them up which is troublesome.

Yes. Just extend TileEntity, you don't need to override or implement anything.
Which application creates OBJ or B3D models?
Various mainstream 3D modelling programs can export them. Blender and 3ds Max can both export to OBJ, it looks like Blender may also be able to export to B3D.
