On servers, I see many people with Optifine capes. But some people have them custom made, and I'm not talking about colors. I'm talking about how people have capes such as a red cross or the USA flag. And when I asked them what cape they had on, they replied Optifine. Does anyone know how to create a custom cape like this with Optifine instead of just the OF?

Capes were never against the EULA. They were in the guidelines that were directed soley at servers which are in no way official or legally binding in the first place.

Fair enough.
All I remember is that Mojang reserves cape availability for "VIP's" and have expressed disappointment with anybody who abuses that. So modders who reward players with capes are still jerks IMO.
