I added a Beta version 2 of this mod to the Downloads on the main post if any of you want to try it out. It's possible there are still a few bugs and some stuff still might change. I'll add some of the features below, and I'll try to add some of the crafting recipes this weekend when I get a chance.
some new features:
- 4 of the pets can breed now when you feed them Ginger. they have to be tamed to breed.
- There are some new food items, and a sushi crafting table. Anything above level 1 crafting has to be crafted in the Sushi Crafting Table
- Caterpillar roll's hitbox should be fixed so you can't shoot him when you're riding him.
- Some of the sushi crafting recipes require a sushi knife (or a mochi mallet for mochi) in the extra slot on the sushi Crafting table.
- Crab mob added
- Blocktopus mob added
- Sushi houses generate in villages with a sushi villager
- Sushi Boat food item works similar to Cake
- You can change where the sushi XP bar lives in the config file
- Avocado trees and Green Tea Trees added
- Sushi Biome added
- Created egg items to spawn mobs and moved them to the My Pet Sushi tab.
- Also, I fixed a lot of things that I wasn't happy with about the first version. but if you run into any problems with this version, please let me know.
It's looking good. Man this mod makes me hungry every time, because the food looks so edible lol. I will keep updating this post, but I will tell you what I've found out so far.
I don't know if the following things were intended:
1- The Sushi villager does not trade.
2- The tea and avocado tree leaves break with a single hit with your hand.
I will keep testing and let you know of anything else I find. It looks awesome!

Thank you =) you are awesome.
Yeah, the Sushi villager is technically a new mob instead of an actual villager - they chase roller sushi's sometimes. I need to implement the trading functionality to make that work and I do intend to give that another go.
also, yikes I didn't realize those leaves broke so easily. Thanks for letting me know!
I'm about to go to bed, but I will check back some time tomorrow in case you come across anything else.
Thanks again!
Oh yeah, I remember now why I didn't setup the Sushi villager to be able to trade. Huuuuge pain in the butt. If that's something that people really want, I might tough it out. but I feel like it might not be worth the effort. -- Thoughts anybody?
Do you think you could give us a config option to turn off any mod of your mod we didnt want? I'm trying to stay within a semi-realistic theme in my personal modpack, and that would be useful.
Disable from naturally spawning option at least. I really like the crab, so I'm definitely keeping that one. I'm trying to make a sea based pack for myself with pirates, and all that good stuff.
Here's a version 2.1A if you want to try that out. -- I added switches to the config file to turn off any of the mobs that you don't want, and there's a switch to disable the Sushi biome in case you're not into that as well.
it's still a Beta version. there hasn't been a lot of demand for a version 2 of this mod, so I've been spending more time working on other things and trying to learn Unity. -- I tested those config settings briefly, but let me know if you run into any issues
Thanks!!! Oh my I never read about the sushi biome. I'm gonna go explore that lol. It takes time to gain exposure yea. I think your models are amazing and the items look super good. Maybe if you made the mod compatible with other mods such as harvest craft, it might gain more popularity. A lot of times people don't add some mods because for example they'd have to farm harvest craft rice, and this mod's rice to be able to enjoy both mods.
What if you made it possible to use harvest craft's rice with your mod, or My-pet-sushi's rice with harvest craft's? Get the idea? Maybe making some items also available in Harvest Craft interchangeable could make it more appealing to more people. Your models are superior I think, so maybe they'd even choose your foods instead of harvest craft's, yet be able to use them for that mod as well. It would definitely be more convenient.
I really think you got the best sushi mod/foods around, and this mod could replace some foods from other mods with the right integration. Just some ideas I'm not demanding anything lol.
