hey could you make marriage work kinda like the romancing of fallout 4? meaning the gender will be irrelevant but there has to be some dialogue test passes. also could you add mod support for RF. so we can have a villager than power the entire village on rf and also sells rf related items. what about a tinkerer that sells tinkerers construct tools. what about eventually upgrading the village to a city.?
Hello awesome modder! I really enjoy this mod, I only have one request. Can you add a customizeable wander limit to the config files? My villagers keep running away! Just a way to keep them from running off too far from their home.
Sorry for the late reply... now there is no such method..but It's a good suggestion! I'm going to add a way to permanently kill (or dismiss) a villager on 0.4.1. Thank you
In regards to the over abundant villagers and creating a permanent death: Why not use a tombstone with their name and profession (and a few lines of dedication or death description) to permanently delete the correct villager?
Also, can't wait for and hope that the first interactive villagers are fighters. Archers, swordsmen, etc. to kill off all the attacking mobs. These could be another upgrade-able profession or multiple professions.
First off, I love this mod thank you for creating it. I am using the 1.8.9 - 4.0 version and sometimes when they require lets say an iron axe they'll take the most expensive one in your inventory (i.e. the most enchanted instead of the normal one). I really prefer when I have to place the item into their GUI better.
Just like stated above there really needs to be a way to remove village box entities. We play as a family on LAN or home server and it is really easy to accumulate too many Village Box entities when there are multiple users. Maybe the simple fix would be to make a inexpensive craftable block that has a GUI that lists all the Village Box entities that would allow you to retrieve or remove them. You could even add the tombstone idea from above for permanent deletion. In this case, you could use the craftable block to locate and/or remove which could place a tombstone at the entity location. This tombstone could be collected with a pickaxe for storage or right clicked to bring up a permanent deletion screen. This would allow a fail safe against accidental deletion of the wrong entity.
I also noticed that the later versions of MC seem to have later mod versions. I fully understand if you want to decide to move on but I hope you first complete the 1.8.9 version that fixes the remaining bugs/issues. This way there is a final bug free version that moves it from beta. Thank you for your consideration on this 1.8.9 request since at this point neither myself or family has been impressed with the last several versions and direction of MC and your wonderful mod rounds off any MC version.
EDIT: If anyone has removed some manually please let me know. I thought about removing specific entities via MCEdit but wasn't sure if the mod would see them as simply being killed and respawn them. I'll try later and report back if I get a chance.
EDIT 2: I was able to delete a Village Box entity in MCEdit; so this is a viable fix until rectified in 1.8.9. I also realized that if you put unbreaking on the light staff that it breaks upon use.
I stumbled upon your mod and absolutely love it! What a happy surprise
I saw in earlier replies you are planning on adding marriage/children with villagers, and was wondering if you have a estimated time of release for that update? Or if it is not top priority? I would really like to know as I am re-launching one of my most popular Minecraft series and I would love to use Village Box instead of Minecraft Comes Alive (don't get me wrong, I love that mod too I just need a change of pace!).
I would absolutely love to use Village Box in my series and if the ETA is not too far I wouldn't mind waiting
Hi chkbox, your mod is awesome.
I ran into a bug when using the builder from rftools with village box. I now have 1000's of coins on the grass.
I will post the bug with the other mod creator as well.

I didn't break that many blocks. The "production" of coins is so rapid that the game can't handel it.
I'm aware that i can disable coins from blocks, solving the overflow problem. But I would like the reward
All in all its a good mod my only complaint is that the prefab houses are so blocky and unnapealing that i feel i need to make all of the houses my self which really cuts into resources so if it was possible i'd love to see a new kind of house type but if not i can still build the house myself cuz village box is worth it
This is an amazing idea! I will definitely add it in a later version !
2. Allow the player to build custom House Boxes
Nice idea! In a old version, I have done a building scanner/printer, but haven't made it a real feature of village box since I'm worrying it can cause cheating problem. However, the idea is very interesting, I'd like to solve it later on.
Yes it's my first mod. I'm so glad you like it
so i remember using this old construction mod where you'd have this type of thing only difference is you really cant cheat with it you have to haveall the materials required to build it for any of it to show up and the proper blueprint for what you want so why not add something like that scanner to pick up the blueprint and block that will build it when given the correct materials
or type two a schematica type thing where it shows what would go where but you place it yourself
Hi Guys! I'm going to give this one a try. If the villagers don't mind living in mountains carved into fortresses and strongholds, I might have another permanent mod, like Too Many Items and Pam's Harvestcraft.
I'm so excited to see a mod like this! Unfortunately, my mods folder is 1.11.2
I'm really hoping this will be updated to be compatible with 1.11.2 soon, so that I can enjoy your hard work. This mod sounds exactly like what I've been looking for, for a long time!

Sometimes, I know the answer to my problem. I just need someone cooler than me to say it before I actually think it's a good plan.
Hello! I've played around with your mod for awhile, but I cannot seem to get it to function on 1.10.2 Minecraft. The beginning goes smoothly until you go to talk with your first villager. You can tell him to follow you, and he will, but the follow option does not toggle into the stop following button. Just as well, you can attempt to give them a home, the game states they're in their new home, and they don't argue that it isn't sufficient, yet their internal interface options don't change from the starting ones. In addition to this, I've changed the config file to disable villager respawn, but they always seem to respawn eventually. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this just a result of the 1.10.2 version still being in Beta? Thank you for your time and help!
This mod looks fantastic, thank you for the work you put into it. I am using 1.11.2, I hope you have not given up and there will be an update. I'll put you on my watch list.
OMgosh ... of course! What a great way to set up a mod (trading with upgraded villagers for items in-game and building your own town!). Kudos to the maker(s). I am looking forward to working with this mod in an EDU pack that I am building for our gaming camps. Just love it!
Thanks for making such a great mod!!
BTW, I want this mod to be localized into Japanese.
Maybe I can help localize it.
Please PM me if interested!

lol breaking blocks to get coins is not a bug...
there is a config to disable that feature.
I didn't break that many blocks. The "production" of coins is so rapid that the game can't handel it.
I'm aware that i can disable coins from blocks, solving the overflow problem. But I would like the reward
of coins from manual work to inspire my players.
