Neotech is a tech mod designed for 1.8.9. NEOTECH REQUIRES THE BOOKSHELF API. Neotech brings machines, processors, and generators to 1.8.9 in a way familiar to modded Minecraft. We will always be at the forefront of the latest versions and adapting as Minecraft and Forge change. The mod also includes a pipe system, interface pipes handle resource movement and structure/acceleration pipes connect them together. Structure/acceleration pipes can transfer any resource.
Detailed mod info can be found in the GUI of the machines and pipes. Pipes require a wrench to open their GUI. This will be where you can find the latest information and for that reason I will not go into detail on the mod here. Most information can be found in-game. If you have questions please feel free to ask and we will do our best to make sure the information is made clear in the future.

Having a difficult time understanding the pipes and their GUI's, I made a really simple setup and everything appears to function ok when the generators where on top of both the Furnace and crusher with the exception of ore/dust movements, Dust flows out to furnace and the chest, tried to place dust and ingots in pipe's whitelists but still getting stuff flying out.
Also when I tried to place the generators to the side and not on top of the furnace and crusher all the power went to the crusher and none went to the furnace.
Is there a newer spotlight for your mod the this one? Can't find any with the current pipe system
Thermal Expansion is an inspiration for this mod. We both use tabs but a lot of mods do that, we have the IO displayed on the side but that isn't something only Thermal Expansion can do. While I agree some of if looks like it, the functionality is quite different. Our machines are upgraded by Motherboards you build and install on the machines, our pipes work more like buildcraft than anything else. Thermal Expansion is a great tech mod, and we wanted to bring some of their elements into ours. There is no copying of code of anything and all work is our own but obviously we will be influenced by that mod as it is what we have come to expect of tech mods. The goal of this mod is to bring the best of all tech mods in the past into the new version of Minecraft.
Sorry if I sound defensive. I just want to clear this up as I'm sure people will always draw comparisons. We do some things similar, but that is only because it is a great way to do things. Why should they be the only ones allowed to do things a certain way if its a good idea? Its not like we copied their code or anything, this is our interpretation of the concept. .
Haha, well, TE is also upgraded via adding upgrades to the machines (you gotta upgrade the machine base to add higher rank upgrades though).
I'll stick to TE, mainly because it's already part of my world x3
Good luck with your project!
This is a 1.8.9 mod. TE is not in 1.8.9 and has no plans to be any time soon so unless you want to wait forever for them there aren't too many other options for tech in 1.8.9. That is our point here. We wouldn't bother if we were aiming at 1.7.10 because there are plenty of great tech mods for that version but there are none for 1.8.9
Is there an easier way to break tanks? I was going to use a pick, but when it broke so slowly I figured it wasn't going to drop. But I tried it anyway and it seemed to work. I also tried shift-right clicking with the NeoTech wrench and it doesn't break the tanks either. Is there something I'm missing?

No you are doing it right. I will add being able to shift-right click with the wrench to break them as well. Thats a good idea.
I can't seem to get any of the upgrades in the machines
If you're unable to update, also disable cheat mode in JEI. Its the cheat mode destroy items function making things hard. You can also shift click the motherboards into the slots
Reporting an issue with the Thermal Binder. I have it hooked up to a advanced storage cell with energy pipes. When I hit start to make a MB, it drains the internal energy and stops the process (not enough to complete). Then the energy reserve fills back up. I also used Fluxed Wire from Fluxed Redstone mod, but it did the same thing. The Binder is not getting enough constant energy to complete the process.
I have 3 furnaces on the storage cell. I'll try adding an acceleration pipe.
Update: I place the Binder right next to the storage cell and it worked. The pipes are not fast enough for the Binder's energy requirements.

It takes a lot of energy. Have you upgraded the extracting pipe with hard drives and processors? That should help it keep up

Take that, Thermal Expansion.

It looks a lot like Thermal Expansion O.o

Yeah, the thing is that I'm in 1.7.10 xD
If I were in 1.8.9 I would've gotten this in a brisk
1.7.10 is soo 2014.

Love the mod. keep it up!

Make sure you are using the latest version of JEI. There was an issue with it that was causing the motherboards to disappear. Has been fixed.
If you're unable to update, also disable cheat mode in JEI. Its the cheat mode destroy items function making things hard. You can also shift click the motherboards into the slots
Same issue, I updated NeoTech-1.8.9-2.3.3 and updated to newest JEI.
In addition, I can't get the furnace to take coal. Shift click drag and drop, nothing. Have confirmed that cheat mode is turned off in JEI
Is an empty motherboard required before putting in other upgrades? the mod spotlight doesnt' cover upgrades.
Edit: Figured out the coal issue, wrong machine.
Did you make a Thermal Binder? You need this, plus an empty MB and whatever upgrades you want to create a "full" MB to place in the machines/pipes.

Nope, missed that step. thanks!
