Tainted Magic is an addon to Thaumcraft 4 (1.7.10) which focuses on the dark side of Thaumcraft. Tainted Magic adds lots of useful items and gear for both early and endgame Thaumaturges. This addon also brings something others do not... a great endgame set of gear and foci, which sets new goals for even the most experienced Thaumaturges.
The main goal of Tainted Magic is to put use to the warp you gain, as well as to make it worthwhile to visit The Tainted Lands.
No there isn't a config file yet. The shadow ore spawns in veins of about 4-8.
Ok thanks for information. Can you add some config. What is about spawning your ores in a nother dimension like Twilight.(Maybe can you add a cfg option for this?)

Suggestion: A torch that blocks mob spawns within the same radius as a normal torch produces light but does not produce light and instead gives Night Vision to people within that radius?
This would be good for Ore Berry Bush rooms and if you wanted to make a pitch black base as well. I was saving this idea for my own Thaumcraft Addon (I have not released anything or said anything about it until now) but the sooner it can be done the better since I've been very busy and your mod is about the same kind of mod as what mine is going to be.

I looked at your mod in a creative world, and I don't think it's my kind of mod, sorry. It has a few perks (I love the Eldritch focus), but some things about the mod like the new wand caps and rod just put me off. The amount of monologue passages at the end of entries was pretty high too, which is fine when done sparingly. Finally, as an actual issue, in one of the entries (don't have it installed anymore to check), you misspelt "shall" as "shall".

I'm honestly not too sure. I wish I could come up with a more constructive reason then that.

Cool mod! only issue i have is there are not enough tabs in the thamonmicon hehe dang it. Thanks for the hard work looking forward to seeing where this mod goes

I like the new wands caps and rods, problem is that I added this to an already generated world that I've explored pretty far out, so it's going to take a minute to get to some shadow ore.

you should contact the forbidden magic author, since this mod and that mod have similar themes, maybe you two could work together
