There was also the effect that "made your ears ring." That one was really hard to deal with when I was playing with a LOTR mod because I couldn't tell what anyone was saying. Worse was that it lasted for DAYS and would come back almost immediately after it faded. The result was that I'd probably get a window of a couple minutes where I could understand the NPCs with an hour or more of time where all the text was scrambled. I really would like a config or something that could reduce the time I was under that effect so I can play mods that add more advanced NPCs than extra villagers.

Yeah, Warp should. . really not do the Stuff it Does with regards to destruction and disarray. Debuffs? Great. Confusion and such? Even better. Mind spiders? Neat. BLEEDING CEILINGS? Incredible. But. . please, it's tooth-cuttingly frustrating to deal with everything around you getting replaced with water and trees, especially at such low warp levels. I'd even be more okay with it if it just didn't do the water thing.
So, Azanor says he doesn't want people adding Warp effects. After all, Thaumcraft is HIS idea. Addon creators should respect that. Same goes with keeping addon stuff in separate tabs.
Also, after reading this thread, while I love the idea of overhanging blocks bleeding (even if it might be a bit grim for some people) I have to say, destructive effects are NOT what Warp is about. As it is, the most physically manifesting effect in TC is summoning Guardians, and that at least has reasoning behind it. Warp is meant to be a mental thing, and personally I think it should stay that way.

I just tried it with latest forge (for worldgen lag fix) and eating the warp removing item did not crash MY server but did kick me and spam the server console with the fallowing more than 6000 times
Edit: I figured it out and "fixed" it by disabling one of the effects. Code on my GtiHub if anyones want I can do a "fixed" build.
I agree with some folks, but mainly, I just want a config file that allows certain warp effects to be on or off. Primarily, the Wither and Vertigo effects. The vertigo effect actually killed me in my home and spawned all my items from my chests and containers all over the floor (yet the actual containers kept their original items, so in a sense, I had a double of everything, but I don't play like that).
The vertigo effect also caused me to have to reload an autosave because the crash had caused my world to be unable to hotload (whatever that means).
So yeah, a config file would be appreciated. I do enjoy the various warp effects, though just not the game-crashing one.

True he did say "Warp Effects" But he didnt say anything about the Eldritch. Meaning this Mod is pretty clear This mod cleanses Warp Effects.... And can drive them even further but he didnt ADD ANY WARP EFFECTS! Also the Appertus Occulus would be a good update... Crimson Strongholds... Maybe Eldritch Strongholds... And the Appertus Occulus It lets you read Eldritch Writing Text Stuff and it allows you to read that Crimson Book.

Is the custom build you posted compatible with the latest Thaumcraft?
This mod scared the heck out of me as the stone bleeds.
Also, some research conflicts with other researches. This makes the pure tear and purification talisman unobtainable with certain addons.

Out of curiosity, which researches conflict? All add-ons should have their own tab in the Thaumonomicon (except this one and Nodal Mechanics <.<). They should all be separated enough.

Hey, I'm not going to continue working on this, since it was done as a request and it seems that the issues those people were having with TC have been fixed. If someone else wants to do anything with it, go crazy.
Just a warning: the current version (WarpTheory-1.7-1.0-24) causes the server to crash when the Vertigo effect comes up. The player.dat file gets corrupted, and needs to be deleted, which means loosing all your stuff and resetting to spawn, which sucks!
I really love this idea, the ability to get rid of warp is something Ive been looking for for what feels like a very long time. I hope somebody continues developing warp theory because if it wasn't for the crashes it would be perfect
all of a sudden i got a feeling of vertigo... which i thought was kinda cool until it stopped and all the items in the chest near me were thrown all over the ground. looked in the chest... items still in there as well.... duplicated all the items in chest near me when this warp hit.... might wanna fix this...
