Not sure if this has be brought up before but what are your thoughts on an item or config option that would allow a drawer controller or slave or something to see the contents of a jabba barrel. I like to use both mods together and I thought it could be a nice little feature. Thoughts?
I thought you should know that since your showing pictures of what your mod looks like with other resource packs being used for texture, you should know that your mod was added to the list of mods included in the Soartex Resource pack.
[Update] - I have found the issue, Storage Drawers is incompatible with a Time Scale mod, weirdly. This is the mod: B3M Longer Day/Night
I've tested it with just Storage Drawers and B3M TImescale mod and confirmed 100% it is these two that don't play nicely together
Any idea how or why a time scale mod wouldn't be compatible??? The issue is missed blocks/textures, the storage draws show up as the Pink and Black missing texture blocks
Can't really think of anything. Based on what you've said, even blocks and items that are entirely based on Minecraft json are failing to load resources, which seems pretty messed up.
[Update] - Cause of the incompatibility found and fixed
Ok so this very strange issue between B3M Time Scale mod and Storage Drawers that caused the items, blocks and textures from Storage Drawers to be totally corrupted and/or missing, has been fixed I'm please to say.
Sedridor, the mod author of B3M Longer Day/Night Cycle, has been brilliant and very kindly been helping me with trying to work out why, 2 so completely different mods would clash and be incompatible. Well, he figured it out, he fixed it
The Cause:
The cause of the incompatibility is ridiculous :rollseye: It's 2 lower-case letters in the Storage Drawers mods, haha, yeah that's it.
The Fix:
He figured out that if you extract the "StorageDrawers.jar" mod, open the "Assets" folder, there are 2 folders named: "storagedrawers" and "chameleon". If you simply rename the folders to have upper-case (capital) letters at the start of each word, like this: "StorageDrawers" and "Chameleon", then save and repack it.... IT WORKS!
How weird and crazy is that. So if jaquadro would be ok with changing this simple little thing in the next update, that would be awesome as it will fix compatibility issues with any other mods out there too
I just found a quite critical bug at least in the MC 1.8.9 version:
If you put a jungle wood block next to a 2x2 drawer the game crashes instantly...
The critical thing is that this brakes the whole world!
This bug costed us a day of building, happily we maked a backup of the server world, but I was able to also reproduce that bug in a singleplayer world!
We play on MC 1.8.9 and have some other mods installed:
Forge,
Optifine,
Buildcraft,
of course Drawers (Chameleon),
Dynamic Lights,
Inventory Tweaks,
Just Enough Items,
Xaeros Minimap.
Used the Soartex Fanver resource pack if it matters...
Downloaded all this mods today (10.4.16) so everything is up to date and did start with a clean .minecraft!

It's a render error, so the world isn't corrupt -- it's just not usable until the source of the crash is resolved.
I can make some changes as a safeguard against crashing, but it looks like whatever mod is responsible for ConnectedTextures is not properly asking an ISmartBlockModel or ISmartItemModel for its real model before making calls on it. So when I upload a fix for the crash, you can still expect this interaction to be handled incorrectly, possibly with some bad checkerboard rendering.
Hi again Jaquadro!! Your MOD is getting even better with the time!! Good work (reflected in the immense popularity of it!!)
I've some suggestions if you don't mind :
- To create a specific/native API to connect the controller to OpenComputer and Computercraft (without to require the use of third party addons (a.k.a computronics)). I've found the current implementation of computronics "methods" insufficient (just 4 methods : nameitem, drawerscount, itemammount and maxcapacity) and to make the things worst, I'm getting nasty errors when running some of this methods in some drawers (for example the compacting drawer when is holding materials that do not give "nuggets" (redstone, lapis)) returns a NIL that crash my programs, this also happened with some "phantom" drawers that are reported as non-existent even though they are counted in the total. I beg you (I've asked this several months ago:-),please, please allow us more control over our inventories: - a way to get oredirectory data of any item/material contained in a drawer (metadata), a way to highlight any given drawer (helpful to detect duplicates in large networks, or to establish the drawer count order displayed by the OC/CC computers), a way to "get" items via computers, a way to move items between drawers from a program or instruction at our PCs...the benefits are incalculable and will give your fantastic MOD even better reception!
Thanks again for this fantastic and very usefull mod! (2.5+ million downloads in less that 24 months, this MOD is going to be the most used one of all the MC environment!)
New version is out. This adds Waila support, a mostly complete Russian translation (due to a couple new language entries being added), and fixes a drop item bug.
1.0.2 - Sep-01-14:
Added WAILA integration (contrib. by dmillerw)
Added Russian translation (contrib. by merkaba5)
Fixed drawers of any color dropping as oak.
I am also considering ways to display some used capacity information outside of Waila. If you think you've got a particularly good idea, let me know.
i am playing on 1.9 minecraft.
I started using this mod a day back along with WALIA. But i cant see the items inside my storage drawers on WALIA as seen in the quoted image. I only see "oak drawer 1x2" or "2x2", as the case is, and storage drawers in the next line.
I dont know how to change it if it is in the configuration screen. Please help me so i can see whts in the inventory too.

Has anyone built a crafting table that can interface with the drawer controller yet? I just want to be able to shift click recipes into a crafting table. This would revolutionize my early game. I'd make it myself if I knew where to begin :(.

it almost looks like it's only showing you the empty drawer capacity that your mouse is sitting on, maybe try hovering over the other drawers that have stuff in them, but not an empty section. I know the screenshot shows it showing both drawers items but it might for some reason only be showing what's in the currently aimed at drawer.
Not sure if this has been reported or not. Used 3.1.5 version on 1.9. I made a wall of various storage drawers, among them 1x2 and 1x4 drawers. Deposited some cobble into one of 1x2 drawers. Later, accidentally deposited a stack of cobble into an empty 1x4 drawer and now I can't access either drawer that holds cobble and withdraw anything. The rest of the drawers with other items seem unaffected.
Hi I am having a problem with storage drawers on 1.9
It happens when i try to craft the drawer controller

Did you try to craft it in a Tinkers' Construct table, because that thing is bugged. In that case you either have to remove Tinkers' Construct or - like me - wait till they finally update it :c
Did you try to craft it in a Tinkers' Construct table, because that thing is bugged. In that case you either have to remove Tinkers' Construct or - like me - wait till they finally update it :c
yes i did and i don't want to remove Tinkers Construct so ill guess ill wait
It's been fixed in Mantle for a while. There just hasn't been a new build published since then. There is some option related to the crafting table that can be turned off to avoid the problem though.
yeah, but without those of us who play with the newest and shiniest you wouldn't get all the bugs found as quickly
As long as your expectations are set accordingly, it's great.

So if jaquadro would be ok with changing this simple little thing in the next update, that would be awesome as it will fix compatibility issues with any other mods out there too
Unfortunately it's not so simple. Applying that change breaks the mod when just Forge is present.

(2.5+ million downloads in less that 24 months, this MOD is going to be the most used one of all the MC environment!)
i am playing on 1.9 minecraft.

In that case you either have to remove Tinkers' Construct or - like me - wait till they finally update it :c
yes i did and i don't want to remove Tinkers Construct so ill guess ill wait
It's been fixed in Mantle for a while. There just hasn't been a new build published since then. There is some option related to the crafting table that can be turned off to avoid the problem though.
Mods I Develop: Garden Stuff -- Storage Drawers -- Hunger Strike
Tools I Develop: NBTExplorer -- Substrate
Oh, I need to look this up! I haven't played since it crashed because I can't load my world anymore... :c
*edit*
I guess it's "B:renderTableItems=true" in tconstruct.cfg. Can't try it right now. Maybe you want to try Mewknight?
