Due to anti-lag plugins that server admins use, they periodically clear loose entities loafing about on the ground. May I suggest a vat to put these items into so that they can grow instead of just sitting on the ground?

Also is there any way to have alternate recipes for the same item? For example, combining glowstone essence from magical crops versus grinding up glowstone blocks to get 4 dust.
No way to really do priority recipes like you could with AE1. What you can do is set 2 interfaces with the two different recipes, a cables with toggle buses connecting them (one of them inverted) to the network, and a redstone emitter between them to switch back and forth based on resource levels.

There is an addon mod "AE2 Stuff" that adds a Crystal Growth Chamber that is exactly this.
I have set up autocrafting today for some 64k drives and i get a problem.
For some reason the system decides to use Pure Certus Quartz Crystals instead of Certus Quartz.
I have tried making a new pattern for the part using the quartz but no change.
Is there anything i am missing?
If you mean for the processors, that has to be Pure crystals; normal ones won't work.
If you mean for normal crafting recipes, ...why would you want to to use normal ones? It takes a bit longer, but you get twice as much out of them if you use Pure.
I think there should be a block where you can copy a disk, but the copy is 100% useless unless the disk that it was copied from is destroyed. im not sure it that wuold be too easy to cheat and get infinite items though.
im just gonna ask it here and it pertains to player doing a skyfactory(not the modpack). so as i said, i watched sundee do his skyfactory till the end of the season, what concerns me is that they used the AE1 on that modpack am i right? im playing with the current AE2 on a Better World Generation 4 version of skyfactory(it does however spawn you with ice and lava so i always throw them to the nothingness for fairness), and it just don on me that to get the necessary thing to even kick start your AE network, you need at least a charged certus quarts which doesnt seem to appear with sieving. is there a way to charge a regular certus quartz? positive feedbacks are much appreciated.

Hi, KakashiMugen0909
Ex Nihilo's thread says that you should be able to get Charged Certus by sifting sand, but it's rarer than regular Certus. From back when I was on Agrarian Skies, I think I got 7 or 8 certus by the time I got my first charged certus
I love Applied Energistics, but not really too fond of the flat panel block updates to things like the terminal. Is there an option somewhere in the config that I missed that will allow me to enable the old blocks?
the new terminals are multiparts. use a strip block from project red to get that same look
I'm having a odd problem whit AE in word I have a recipe setup to make some steel plates from Railcraft, when I request it to make them it dose, but this is were the problem starts when its about done doing the request it stops and keeps the crafting cpu occupied whit 8 units of the final product on pending
I love the mod, just designing a knew pack for myself, about 100 mods and I loaded it up after tweaking a few configs, nothing special. So I am flying around in a creative world to see how things look and I come across this.
I can say from a developers standpoint it would be hard to debug your issue jason without specifics. What version of AE are you using, what config tweaks did you do, and what other mods do you have that change world gen?

Some more details would help, such as:
1. How exactly did you configure the processing pattern for the steel plates?
2. Does the Rolling Machine show the 8 remaining steel ingots in the gui somewhere?
It first uses charged certus, if I am out of them, pure certus, regular certus if I am out of both.
I tried making new patterns. One new using regular certus and one using pure ones instead, no change.
Am i missing something here, i just cant figure out what it is.
...huh. Could you screenshot your recipes for the processors, the cells themselves, Fluix crystals, quartz dust/certus seed/pure certus, and Charged Certus? And maybe your inscriber setup.

Sounds like you have a oredict conflict. Make sure the actual crafting process is making the exact same item that the recipe thinks it is. It's probably a conflict with the steel ingot - It does whatever process you set for steel, but then when it tries to go on to the next step it can't find the steel it's supposed to use because whatever machine you're using processed it into the wrong mod's steel.
Are there any AE2-compatable autocrafters like AE1's version? I'd ideally like AE1 for 1.7.10. Mostly I can coerce AE2 to do this (minetweaker, config, etc), but I don't know of any autocrafter solution.
I have a question, Is there a way to pipe patterns into an me interface pattern slot?
to elaborate, I have a huge me setup for auto-crafting with hundreds of me interfaces of which 100 interfaces are purely for molecular assemblers. when I program a pattern i want to be able to just throw it into an ender chest and have that chest route the pattern to the next available slot for patterns.

well how I am doing it is I have a machine making refined Iron then I take the refined iron and turn it into a block witch happens to be a block of steel, then brake down the block of steel to steel ingots from there there set to the rolling machine then i get the steel plate output

above reply has a bit more info, its the right steel when it gets there and it dose make the plates it just kinda hang after it dose a some and leaves the rest of the steel inside the crafting cpu its rather bothersome

Try making a Network Tool.

I like astronomy, and one of my ideas is a mod based around astronomy.
You have permission by default; You don't have to ask. AlgorithmX2 says so in the first post

Is there a way to generate power with ae2?
Vibration Chamber. I think that is about it.
