hey guys. I made a modification of your shaders aimed at improving night/indoor scenes to make playing/recording easier for scenes that aren't outside.
Here are a few screenshots:
Outdoors
Indoors
unlit indoors:
Night
this was done by playing slightly with adjustable variables.
I have a little glitch with the sky, for less 1 second it become black with sun and cloud texture (only with a texture pack).
If I use "/time set 9999" I can see the glitch.
I use the latest optifine and your "Chocapic13 Beta V6.1 Medium".
I don't play to Minecraft often, so I don't know all graphics settings...
Any idea please?
It is probably caused by the sky texture, as it not always compatible dependeing on the ressourcepack. Anyways if it only appears briefly it should not be a big issue.
Lit-up blocks seem to be rendered through blocks when the player's eye location is below y=63 with V5 lite. I've tried medium/extreme/etc..., but they all throw compile errors. Through experimenting with the source code, I've narrowed this issue down to final.fsh, line 579:
After playing around with every variable on that line, I traced it down to a variable called "aux", which is used to calculate everything there except for sky_absorbance. So far so good, but the problem is that:
aux = texture2D(gaux1,newTC).rgb;
and
newTC = texcoord.st;
gaux1 and textcoord are both left initialized but undefined at the top of the file:
varying vec4 texcoord;
uniform sampler2D gaux1;
I assume this means minecraft fills in the information of their values. As such, I have no idea what they represent (I'm relatively new to shaders). Is there anything I can change to fix this? Screenshots here.
System stats: (according to optifine's shaders menu) OpenGL: 2.1 APPLE-7.32.12, Intel Inc., Intel HD Graphics 3000 OpenGL Engine
EDIT: V5.12 lite fixed and beta V6.1 medium do not have this issue, however:
Neither versions have in-game configurability (besides vignette)
Because of the inability to disable waving blocks in-game, my framerate is substantially worse. (could solve by editing the files, but I'd rather have this available in-game again.)
Both versions' source code is VERY different from V5, and I've made a few other tweaks I'd rather not have to re-design. (tired right now, might take another look tomorrow morning)
I will have a look at this.
About the additionnal report :
- It is a bug related to intel gpus, I could fix that.
- It is not planned to have in game configurability until there is a new "official" version. I think people rather want something running at best as soon as possible than something configurable.
- Waving stuff should not affect framerate that much, I recorded in the worst case a 5-6% performance loss on amd/nvidia/intel.
- I re-organised and re-written a lot of the code to get the best performance possible.

Looks interesting, you can upload it if you respect the rules of modification and sharing of course!
If you use textureGather you completly stop supporting macs. Minecraft runs on the opengl compatibility profile on macs. Which runs on opengl 2.1 and does not allow extensions from higher opengl versions. The core profile which supports higher opengl versions can't be used for minecraft because it's not backwards compatible.
Why is composite2.fsh set to #version 450 compatibility instead of:
#version 120
#extension GL_ARB_shader_texture_lod : enable
It does work fine that way.
Also there are alot issues with the rendering of the players hand and rain. Displaying rain correctly can be done in gbuffers_weather which renders it underneath the players hand instead of ontop. but requires changes to the way your sky works. It's invisible against the sky if you don't draw it in composite2.fsh.
I noticed a strange bug while using your new shaders, 6.2, the light level overlay mod doesn't show the light level numbers at all, but if I switch to v5 (or any other shaderpack for that matter) everything is normal. Why ?
Hello! I was wondering if there is a fix for stained glass panes and water, If I view water through a pane, I can clearly see right through to the bottom of the ocean.
I like the shader pack but I wish the medium version had the same options as the extreme (mostly the rain option). I hate the rain effects since my base is in a savannah but I can't turn them off in medium.
Im new here and I had a question about these shaders... I downloaded them but they give me the composite error and everything turns black and in a small corner I see my world in inverted colors but all distortional whenever I put them... I will send you anything you need to know
Specs: Btw this is all I remember, if you need more then just ask
Intel i5, AMD Radeon something graphics card, and I believe 4gb of ram, Its a mid-2011 iMac

Could be multiple reasons.
1) its Mac and mac is stupidly finicky when it comes to shaders
2) its using an AMD gpu which can often cause problems for shader devs
3) with it being a 2011 model, the gpu might be out dated. But then again i might be wrong. Ill have to research

Sushi Shaders - a fresh and (objectively/somewhat) realistic shader, approved by Past Life Pro, made by yours truly. Works on Mac OSX
I don't mean in the sahder mods, I mean in one of the 5.x.x and 6.x.x chocapic shader.zip
So if it doesn't exist anywhere why did Sildur said us that it might be edited ?
He didnt say that fragment.fsh exists. He just said that one of the fragment shaders might be edited. Fragment shaders end in .fsh, so he meant that one of those files might be edited.

I've recently encountered an issue players in the past have had before but appeared to be fixed then. My map in game is distorted and glitched, as seen above. I'm running Minecraft at 1.9.4, and the latest version of both Optifine and your shader. I've encountered this bug in only your shader, and it is present in all versions excluding the "lite" version. My computer has an Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 and an AMD x4 760k processor. I've encountered no other bugs with your mod so I'm hoping that you might be able to assist me with this problem. Your shader is most likely the only one out there I like, and is performance friendly enough on my computer. Thank you.
Trying to get shaders working. Really like these but everytime I go towards a door it creates a huge black box that covers it. Only doors. not sure why that is going on.

Try to downgrade drivers. Currently I won't upgrade my 353.30 drivers because it seems there are a lot of issues on recent nvidia drivers.
I will have a look at this.

Player becomes transparent at a certain light level if emitting blocks are nearby. This can also be seen on other players in multiplayer.
You didn't count in normal for leashes, which breaks them. Change gbuffers_basic.vsh to:
And fragment to:

the download takes an extremely long time to load for me. Does anyone else experience that?
Which graphics card do you recommend for these shaders?

Help
I love this shader, especially the sky and rain, but my computer doesn't handle shaders well.
Do you allow asking for edits?
I would like an edit that only has a few things, if someone's willing to help, and if it's possible.
I'm trying to keep my favorite parts while making it run better on my computer.
I did try to edit it myself, but that was a disaster (yellow black skies, shadows jumping all over the place).
If you do allow asking for edits, should I do it here, or make my own thread?

Sorry if it is already solved here but I'm too lazy too search..
so uhh... what is the fix of (Error: Invalid program "final")??? thanks!!!

Fragment.fsh doesnt exist in the shadermod. And no you dont need to create it because it wont be read...
