Without Optifine? Even after (slightly over) 60 minutes I wasn't having any trouble. Generation kept up just fine with full-speed flying the whole time. On a 4-year old Mac laptop even, with 2 gigs assigned.
Yes, it happens with or without Optifine & Fastcraft, making no difference if they are enabled or not.
Optifine & Fastcraft allow you to freeze sooner because you can travel much faster and load/render many more chunks than Vanilla would be able to.
In a Vanilla world, simply fly backwards at 4x speed.
Like this:
If you fly too far out, then UBC freezes.
This freezing can also be caused randomly if you're walking around and you accidentally venture too close to the edge before world generation catches up.
This freezing can also be caused randomly if you're walking around and you accidentally venture too close to the edge before world generation catches up.
freezing can be reduced if you increase the size of the young generation JVM
if you compile for version last commit the compiler writes the error of not found in the vanilla functions classes and unable to override the methods in a number of classes. For example:
1
.\UndergroundBiomesConstructs1.7-fork\build\sources\java\exterminatorJeff\undergroundBiomes\api\NamedBlock.java:35: error: cannot find symbol
block.setBlockName(external());
^
symbol: method setBlockName(String)
location: variable block of type Block
2
.\UndergroundBiomesConstructs1.7-fork\build\sources\java\exterminatorJeff\undergroundBiomes\common\block\BlockMetadataBase.java:106: error: method does not override or implement a method from a supertype
@Override
^
I have no idea. Block.setBlockName(String newName) is a standard routine in all the 1.7 forges AFAIK. You could try forge 1448 to see if they changed the name later. However, I don't use gradle to compile - I compile in my environment and only link and obfuscate with gradle.

changing versions of the forge or add mappings does not help, helps use obfuscated names of class Block.
why it did not see a file dependency, although it it normally imported neighboring repo, oddities, but I was able to solve the problem manually tossing him the file.
If you never cross past the black edge of the world during chunk generation, then UBC does not freeze.
If you cross past the black edge but you only go a short distance, UBC may or may not freeze.
If you cross past the black edge and you go a longer distance, UBC freezes.
This is not a UBC problem - I get a freeze just with an all-jungle world by sprint-flying backward long enough. I normally don't cross the black edge because, even though I've never noticed a freeze, it definitely slows down the overall generation process to do so. I wouldn't be in the least surprised if UBC makes this more acute, because it pushes the MC generation system harder than just about any mod, but it's not inherently a UBC problem and I'm not sure I can do anything about it besides what I've already done.

Updated

RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.
This was tested using InChunkGeneration=false
I wanted you to know that clearVarsForRecursiveGeneration=false seemed to cause it to freeze sooner.

Zeno410,
The reason you were able to avoid freezing up with UBC world generation is because of the spiral shape that you flew in.
With only these two mods installed:
And using the following settings:
UBC freezes every time.
In a Vanilla world, simply fly backwards at 4x speed.
Like this:
If you fly too far out, then UBC freezes.
This freezing can also be caused randomly if you're walking around and you accidentally venture too close to the edge before world generation catches up.
.
freezing can be reduced if you increase the size of the young generation JVM
Hmm, what necessary to compiled this repository?
https://github.com/Zeno410/UndergroundBiomesConstructs1.7
My steps:
1) git clone https://github.com/Zeno410/UndergroundBiomesConstructs1.7.git
2) put build.gradle and some according in libs folder: http://imgur.com/kUw2OCj
2a) move src -> src/main/java; put resource -> src/main/resource
3) use Win7x64, OpenJDK 7u101 x64, gradle 2.13, git-scm 2.8.1 x64, git-bash mode (console)
4) gradle clean build
tried to compile the 2 source code version:
this commit: 8919e3f1d56e4f62f188b77e250a63ac6e7a8bac
and this one: d31c5f4045e178311f34b10d8cf1cb638e973703
both failed.

What did I miss or do not this way?

Sometime in the recent betas Ore Ubification has broken. A few weeks ago it was working.
Now about half of the ores in the world are un-ubified. The other half are working correctly.
It seems like Ubification is occurring or not-occurring depending on what chunk the ore is in.
In some places I see the same ore right next to itself, some ubifying, some not ubifying.
The following screenshot shows five blocks of HarvestCraft salt ore. Three of the blocks are ubified, two are un-ubified.
changing versions of the forge or add mappings does not help, helps use obfuscated names of class Block.
Something is not right in your dev environment.

What are you using for Ubification? I don't think the default can ubify harvestcraft salt.

That's UBC Ore Registrar 0.2.9.4
But the same thing is happening for Iron, Coal etc.
The salt was just an example.

Wait but if the original mod isnt for 1.7 and above, how are you going to get the stone for the constructs in this mod? Does it only work in creative?
Oh, I merged this with the main mod and ported it more than 2 years ago. I don't use the original name as I don't have access to the thread.

Your world should be OK except that a lot of buttons will change stone types (but not stairs). Do a backup first, though.
