Hey! I love your mod and am using it in a map of mine (Full credit is given!). So I was playtesting it, and suddenly, there was this distant rumbling, and then there was a full-scale earthquake! No ravines have split open yet, but I have no idea why the rumbling happened. Is it in this mod? I looked on the wiki page and found nothing on natural disasters. Thanks!
It is in fact an earthquake. They currently take a while to reach the surface but we plan on fixing that soon. It looks like we forgot to make a page for Earthquakes on the wiki, that should be fixed up pretty soon.

Perhaps I haven't seen it but is there a way to trigger an earthquake? For instance as an admin is there a command or item to call down the wrath of the gods on my heathen players!?!
see funwayguy, your mod so awesome that everyone is flocking in here just for a good chat. GG man, your great. just a heads up, ive played minecraft with enviromine since its inception. its cool.
It is cool. It was annoying because of the physics. Some buildings looked MESSED. You hit one piece of sand, and all hell breaks loose in the desert. A chunk of the desert starts to fall and dang, that was annoying.

it is called a "Quicksand". it happens in real life. so yeah. but i must admit, im also annoyed with that too, but in my case, dirt. do enviromine while on a skyblock and your in for a surprise.

Hello hello delicious mod creators.
So a quick bit of backstory: I was using a mod for thirst. It was functional and generally did what I wanted it to, but wasn't what I was looking for. I started shopping around for an alternative and was lead to this. It looked cool, so I was all like "sure, why not." Then I was all like "HOLY [EXPLETIVE DELETED]!" I love this mod. Between the general quality, the customization, and the extras, I've been hooked. Now I'm bugging all my friends who play to try it out.
I did have a couple of questions.
1. Is there a way to make it so that some foods take longer (or shorter) to expire? I'm thinking of things like canned food that are packaged in such a way that they last years to the days of fresh foods, but things like pastries would be a great example on the other side. The documentation on the customization page implied that this feature is in progress, but wasn't fully clear about it. Is that the case?
2. I love the UI, but it kinda clashes with the default minecraft interface. Are there any options for reskinning either the mod or minecraft itself to match up? My personal preference would be to have three bars, like the ones in the mod, in each lower corner representing each of the 4 stats this mod tracks and the 2 that minecraft itself tracks. Also, is there any plan to allow customization of stat bar placement?

I also had another thought: since your mod works with limited water, I think it'd be cool if you added a rainwater collector for those who play that way.

Thanks for your time and your awesome mod.
I can answer number 2. Since that is my work. I have set it up in the future to work with an API To change Ui bars via an addon. But as of now the API hasn't been started. But their is an Ingame menu to move the stat bars. Button is on the Ingame main menu. But I may come up with a new bar design that ppl can change too. Since this feature has been ask multiple times. As of noes you can't hide bars. But that may be a neat feature as well. Thank you for ideas

Cool enough. I'd love to see the ability to have health and hunger tracked via bars similar to the stat bars you have, if you can do that.
Thanks for answering my question. Love the mod, look forward to seeing it grow.

Actually an idea I have had for a while. May be a bit longer till it can be implemented. We have a bunch of code rewrites and restructuring going on at the moment.

Awesome sauce. I'll keep up to date. Another, similar idea is to add in a refillable canteen. I tend to keep a fairly modern, semi-military theme going with my mod collection, and I'd really like to see something of the sort.
It would be cool.. But I don't think I can without replacing the whole renderer. which doing that,we have already had issues with mod compatibility.
Maybe a separate small mod that just replaces minecraft's default hunger and health bars? I'd offer to help, but the only thing I can meaningfully contribute to is graphics. My coding knowledge is more than a little lacking, and has quite a bit of rust on it.
again man, job well done on helping out peoples. well im lookingt forward to that per world basis config thing so if thats all i need now then so be it. just turn the physics on when on regular map and off when on the skyblock right. again kudos.
I haven't really played sky lock before. But if I am not mistaken you normally spawn with a block of bed rock right. If that's the case you can change bedrock to act like glow stone. That way you can keep the difficulty of physics. I forget how much glow stone will hold up. The only thing that you will need to do is to race against the clock on rain. As rain can cause dirt to cause a landslide.

I can easily go the other way around and have the Enviromine bars look more like a classic mine craft bar (changeable of course as I like the ones we have). atm I am making the configs easy to change, so that when we have to remove or replace something it won't over crowd all of your folders with a bunch of unused files or config Options. And adding in some bug fixes. Will try to get an update tonight if I can.

I also really like the bars you've got, but the big thing for me is the size difference between the bars. The stock bars are so big as compared to the mod bars, and it kinda makes the mod stuff feel lower priority. I look at my screen and I see my huge health and hunger, almost before I see the white border because I forgot I was carrying a bucket of lava. I'd personally like to see temperature, hunger, and thirst on the left and health, sanity, and air quality on the right, but that should be customized to the player. (Hunger and thirst and temperature are things you immediately notice, whereas the other stuff might sneak up on you.)
I understand that it'd be a lot of work and that this specific stuff is lower priority. If you can get to it somewhere down the line, I'd really like that. As is, I'm definitely gonna keep using Enviromine. It's a really cool mod, and I love how easily customized it is. This is just personal preference stuff. Again, thanks for the mod and for answering me. It really is much appreciated.

No, just no. Dude, one block and the ENTIRE thing goes down.

I seem to be having a difficult time managing my temperature in my castle, likely due to the presence of torches. Is there a config option available to adjust these?
I'm sorry if you read it that way but it wasn't intended as such.
I am pretty sure this mod has it this way on purpose so you use non-heat-based light sources.

You cand shut off the landslide effects though the config files. Which will solve this issue For you In the desert. As well as turn off physics.

Try not using torches?

Your response comes across a bit snarky and fails to answer my question. Anyone else?
