Channel is a terminus shape any shapes afterwards will not be counted, your best bet will be looking into some combination involving zone and another shape. I don't know a way but it will likely be something complex involving 3 or more shapes. If you do find one let me know
a good shape would be one that faked the target casting the spell ( not deducting mana from target) I could do so many beautiful things with that. Basically I just want to be able to do all things i can do to myself to other people

Yeah there's no way to make a cloak type spell that moves with you, not that I know of. If the Self shape worked differently, I would say Self > Zone, Touch, Fire Damage. But since you can't do that, the best bet is to just remove one off the top and deal with a stationary spell: Zone > Touch, Fire Damage.

Channel -> AOE -> Fire Damage + Ignite would do the trick. Channel repeatedly applies at the caster's location. You wold move slowly while channeling though, and would need to maintain the spell. It wouldn't persist once you stop casting the spell.
Hi, i am hosting server with Ars Magica 2. Hovewer, there are several troubles with it.
Firstly, all players including me cannot see mana battery charge level. Placing it again refreshes it (this dont occur on singleplayer). Secondly, etherium-powered machines cannot take power from mana battery. They need to take it from obelisks. And lastly theres most annoying error. The skill points appear very very rare when leveling up. I've got 4-5 blue points from 10 levels. Not to mention that this mod crashes when server is starting - heres the log.

i have no idea about the first 2 bugs, but i believe the magic points should be like that (do you have 4-5 points + the first 3 or just 4-5 including the first 3?)

Without Ars Magica the pack loads.
With only Ars Magica the mod loads.

I've created a custom mod pack comprising of Ars Magica, Simply Backpacks, Bibilocraft, Buildcraft, Chisel, CustomNPCs, Dragon Mounts, Ender Storage, Extra Utilities, Growthcraft (All of them), NEI, Open Blocks, Optifine, Thermal Expantion, and World edit.
Without Ars Magica the pack loads.
With only Ars Magica the mod loads.
But when I use all of them the game crashes on load.

my money is on Custom NPCs or dragon mounts causing the crash with AM2, as i have seen AM2 works with all the rest already. open eye mod might be able to help.

Since when has channel>aoe worked, omg so much magics to be done there's a whole set of channel based shape groups to be tested now. on a related note I made a fancy way to do a fire cloak but it is kind of weird and kills me some of the time soooooooo yeah. zone self ignite contingency fire area of effect fire damage, I recommend having some fire protection because your setting yourself on fire for this and the aoes are not included in original cast cost.

Question realted to this mod. Has a fork of this been posted somewhere and has development of this mod continued elsewhere? I have run into a few issues specifically related to this mod and I am unsure of if there is another fork or updated version being maintained by someone else?

I realize this has likely been asked before, but what is the trigger (if any) for unlocking the compendium's entries on rituals? I've already got a functioning obelisk, and I've got entries on the celestial prism and dark aurum, but no entries for the actual rituals.

Due to things like this i prefer disabling the staged compendium.

Development is being continued, but no fork is necessary as it is being continued by an heir of Mithion's choosing.
Due to things like this i prefer disabling the staged compendium.
I rather enjoy the staged compendium, personally. I think it's a good way to measure where you are currently in your progression through the mod, so I'd much rather keep it enabled...is there really no way I can trigger the entry unlock?

Did you try dropping it and picking it back up. I had my data in compendium reset once and dropping it seemed to make it catch up

Because 'Zone' needs a shape after it, the 'Chain' shape fills that role.
Wherever it lands, it creates a zone that procs repeatedly (much like a lot of the OP silver spells), but with the additional benefit of chaining the effect to monsters near the zone (if it hits one in the zone) as well as chaining the effect to any monsters near to YOU.
(Note: gravity and speed are completely optional in the formula I posted above. I just like my Projectile-Zone spells to have a grenade-like trajectory so that I can control their range a bit better)

Dunno if a cloak is possible, but theoretically, Channel > AoE, Fire Damage might work? Might also burn your ass off, who can tell?
Channel is a terminus shape any shapes afterwards will not be counted, your best bet will be looking into some combination involving zone and another shape. I don't know a way but it will likely be something complex involving 3 or more shapes. If you do find one let me know
a good shape would be one that faked the target casting the spell ( not deducting mana from target) I could do so many beautiful things with that. Basically I just want to be able to do all things i can do to myself to other people

Yeah there's no way to make a cloak type spell that moves with you, not that I know of. If the Self shape worked differently, I would say Self > Zone, Touch, Fire Damage. But since you can't do that, the best bet is to just remove one off the top and deal with a stationary spell: Zone > Touch, Fire Damage.

i have no idea about the first 2 bugs, but i believe the magic points should be like that (do you have 4-5 points + the first 3 or just 4-5 including the first 3?)
can't help you, what do you plan to do in the addon?
my money is on Custom NPCs or dragon mounts causing the crash with AM2, as i have seen AM2 works with all the rest already. open eye mod might be able to help.

Tried tossing it around a bit as you said, but no go I'm afraid. Any other suggestions of how I could trigger it? If it helps my wizard level is 18.
