do anyone know how i create my own wand caps... i cant get it to work, have the item but it won't craft it to a wand (yes i am using an arcane workbench)
I'm assuming you're trying to craft the wand cap with the wand itself, yes? If so, they no longer work like that. You want to have the wand in your hand, and the focus in your inventory. Press and hold 'F' and select the focus from the radial menu that pops up. Viola! Wand with cap!
Also, seeing as this comes up every so often, you remove the cap from the wand by holding the wand in your hand and pressing 'Shift' and 'F' at the same time.

Angels are bright, though the brightest fell. Though all things foul would wear the brows of grace; Still grace must look so.
And by the way; Who is John Galt?
Actually, you can ward soul sand. It even continues to slow you down.
You can't ward ice. You can ward packed ice but it's no longer slippery.
OK, that's what I get for posting that late at night. Regular ice, is of course transparent. I'm surprised that soul sand keeps working, especially if packed ice doesn't. (Maybe Azanor special-cased it.)

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
no not a focus, an actual wand cap in the arcane workbench, thaumcraft's gold caps work fine but mine... dosent wanna make a wand, specre OR a staff... tried all the combos with my caps still nothing, and i don't get an error in eclipse, sooo...
And you are talking about foci.
Um... my first thought was that you were talking about thaumium caps (need to infuse them before you can use them) or void caps (haven't a clue, but the Eldritch pages should explain those).
But, you talk about "thaumcraft's" caps... are you trying to write a mod adding new wand caps? If so, you probably need to add recipes for the new complete wands and such, say "oobleck-stained {wood, greatwood, silverwood} {wand, staff, sceptre}". Or there may be API methods for registering new caps.

Nope, no long-distance herba for the lamps. You can still make a farm nearby and pipe it to the lamps. Note that a lamp of growth counts as a machine, and puts out a lot of suction.
If you don't have netherwart, someone upthread had an idea which actually works better than I expected: Set up a wheat farm, and just harvest the seeds, The big thing I found is supplying coal -- I've been putting in lumps when I pass by, but properly, it needs a time-release for coal so that it doesn't use up whole lumps on 3 seeds. I plan do do that for the netherwart farm I'll replace this with: Put a hopper over a chest, and feed a redstone signal to it, normally ON but with a brief OFF pulse every few minutes. (An Ethonian Hopper clock should be ideal, or even a despawn clock. Either way, you can use wheat for the clock's items.) Load the hopper with coal, natch.
im not worrying about coal, since im crafting charcoal with golems, and i have about a 1024 stacks of wood from my golem tree farm, that i can turn back on at any point.
also, im using pumpkin seeds for herba.
but a shame, that essentia teleportation doesnt work at the moment. i guess ill make another farm then, or find a way to centralize seed production instead, distribute them and produce the essentia locally.
i guess the only other way would be to use a lot of golems and teleport phials instead.

Your call, but with the lamps of growth sipping occasional bits of herba, you're likely to be burning coal almost continuously, and if the system is mostly blocked by "nowhere to put herba", you won't actually be generating much for all that. On the other hand, if you're feeding enough lamps to keep up with the furnace....
also, im using pumpkin seeds for herba. Doesn't that take a crafting step? I'm not using submods on my Thaumcraft.

The mirror nerf is worse for the Arcane Bore -- that's the last thing you want tied to your centivis network! But for the farm, you can use item mirrors at any stage, and the rate-limiting might actually be useful for this (I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know how slow it bottoms out). I keep forgetting to test -- can pistons break essentia jars? If so and you have comparators, you can ship jars around as items.

An option to disable specific warp effects would be a great help. Unnatural Hunger crashes the game and it seems to be a fairly common effect. It would be nice if I could turn it off without disabling warp entirely.
Ive now eaten a stack of zombie brains and been attacked by a singular eldritch guardian. While I was otherwise dealing with an enclave of cultists so that was fun.
Extra fun as the upgrade rendered my supplies ofzombie brains defunct. So thats a third thing anyone upgrading from 4.1 to 4.2 needs to remember: remove all buffers and mana beans and place in chests and 'use' all zombie brains.
Still no clues about liquid anything, what to do with void seeds and no sign of another tab :/
Hi, I'm just getting started with this mod, but I use Just Another Spawner... is there anywhere I can find more information on the mobs Thaumcraft is supposed to spawn? Are any of the mobs supposed to spawn naturally?

Angry Zombies can spawn anywhere, Wisps and Pechs spawn in Magic biomes.
There aren't any Brainy Zombies. Angry zombies do look like Furious zombies, which are spawned by sinister nodes, but furious zombies are tougher and get bigger and stronger each time you hit them.

You want a farm, you grab a hoe. You want a boat, you grab some wood. You want a fireplace, you grab A FLAMING HELL-BOULDER BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MINECRAFTERS ROLL!!!

I meant, are they called BrainyZombies in the code--that's the only zombie that shows up in JAS config. That and a giant variant of the same name. Maybe they were called something else in early versions, like how Oceleots are Ozelots in the Vanilla code?
My first energized node is doing 12 cv per tick on all aspects with ordo doing 13. It was bright if that makes a difference...

Eat Zombie Brains, and craft Liquid Death and Flesh Golems, depending on what's easier for you with your resources available.
That was me. :/
Of course, the first part of my post was "If I recall correctly". Looks like I didn't.
Bright nodes do get a 20% bonus when it comes to determining the CV of it when energized.

Alternatively, a Use Golem might be able to.
But now I'm wondering, what would a pure node do in terms of bonuses for CV?
Time to test
