It looks like an obelisk from Thaumcraft 2. I'm not sure if you can activate it. Does anybody know about these yet?
It was implemented in 4.2.1.0, but is not fully Implemented, in the future, I think it will take you to a dimension of eldritch guardian or something, the only interaction you can have up to now, is to put 4 eldritch eyes in the middle, also has a sinister node there.
You can also find a monolith that is owned by the crimson cult, a sort of "organization of miracle-workers who were in the wrong way" or something in this lines, and has a plan called "opening the eye", something related to portal to a new dimension.

The pseudo-story or lore that's developing in recent versions is really exciting. Chilling in my thaumic spa, cleansing the warp effects away while I ponder my next forbidden research note, I'm once again reminded of why Azanor is my favorite modder of Minecraft. This mod is a work of art, one that I've followed for over a year now. Bravo, sir.
I just really can't stand the gravel on that new one... obsidian tiles would have fitted it better... or diamond blocks why not XD (jk)

Yo dawg, I heard you liked mining diamonds with diamonds so we put diamonds in your mine so you can mine with your diamonds while you mine your diamonds.
You can mark that water because there is a block under it In deep water (where there is no blocks under) you can't mark the water!!!
Again, look at the picture. One marker is in shallow water (only 1 block of water) and the other in is deeper water (about 2-3 blocks of water). Perhaps rather then doubting the proof right in front of you, how about you go try it yourself? The water's depth makes no difference.

You can mark that water because there is a block under it In deep water (where there is no blocks under) you can't mark the water!!!
they are water source blocks. yes, actual blocks. i dont kow if its possible with flowing water, but you can mark regular water blocks. if you go into creative, you can even carry fluid blocks (not just water) around in your inventory, and place them like any other block.

What i do is right click the golem with golemancy bell and then right click water! It doesn't mark it with the circle but it marks stone bricks! What am i doing wrong ????

I indeed tried it! I right clicked the golem and right clicked water with the golemancy bell. No circle around water "blocks"! However, even when i right click on blocks it is not showing the particle lines that connect the golem to the block! Why is that??
i dont think you even need to mark the water for him. put him next to water and he will start fishing on his own. you need a gather golem or any other method of item collection to get the fish hes catching. a hungry chest wont do it.
i just said, it would be nice if he threw it at the chest. he doesnt actually do it.
by the way, is there a way to craft a primal staff with void caps, just with thaumcraft? i got down to 75% vis discount with thaumaturges robes and a thaumium bossed silverwood crafting scepter.
should i bother making a void capped scepter? is it possible with the void thaumaturges robes? they should grant another 5% + 5% more from the voidmetal caps for a total of 59% discount (with thaumaturges boots), if im not mistaken.

Would be cool to have a ring that gives vis discount of all six aspects, and in the infusion process, uses the 6 rings found in dungeons, and could get upgrades to better vis discount.

You can try the wand from TT Kami. It can hold 1000 vis of each aspect. Although you will need stuff like a Nether Star to make it.

im not shure if i like kami. i deactivated it for now. the stuff takes over for the endgame content. and the default thaumcraft stuff looks way to cool to pass up on. so i probably wont use the kami stuff anyways.
i mean the void thaumaturges robes have to be the best looking armor in any mod ive ever seen. heck, even though im not into the whole samurai theme, the thaumium fortress armor looks incredible. and the small details to it (the faceplates, and how it adds detail and protection with more parts equipped) are nothing short of amazing.
i made a amulet of vis storage quite a while ago, so im not lacking there either.
so I recently came across one of the eldritch monoliths and it had a bunch of crimson cult guards and stuff around which I did manage to kill a few and they dropped their armor but then they all just vanished so I went up and got the banners. Not sure what they (the banners) do exactly though, I want to place them around my house but I don't know if they'll suddenly start spawning stuff that could kill me

Finding all 6 rings in itself is an accomplishment. I just found an ignis ring a while ago that completed my collection. I wouldn't say it'd be op at all to be able to infuse them all together. It would give more of a reason to collect them as (in my opinion) they're rather useless right now.

I clicked around water but it did not attach as it would with blocks like chests! I don't think water is meant to be attached to golems like chests
