I have a question. Are these going to be used in the actual mod or are they simply a personal project you are working on?
dont take my word for it, but i think he already said its going to be a boss for thaumcraft. considering all the adventure related content az is working on right now, id say its gonna be in the mod soon.
hes doing it for fun, but these crimson cult paladins seem to be specifically made for the new content.
i dont know how insane of a task this would be. maybe not hard at all, dunno. but i guess, the armor will drop from the dude like the other crimson cult armors.
now imagine, you could also dye the colored parts of the armor, and turn the red parts into blue, white, yellow, purple. etc. i could see this turning incredibly awesome on servers with factions pretty fast. (for the paladin armor, and the other crimson cult armors and robes). i guess it depends how complicated it would be to use the code for the coloring from the thaumaturges and void thaumaturges robes.

You have a mod using an outdated version of the API. From the looks of your mod list, Dragon API is the likely cause. See if they have an updated version available, or remove that mod.
If you don't do this, you will have a crash every time you use the altar.

For some reason my game crashes whenever I click on an icon in the Thauminomicon. I would like to know if anyone else has this issue. I have not tried to do any research due to this so I dont know if it'll crash when i click those icons. I also dont know how to attach the crash report so I am very sad that I cant play using this mod.
I was going through the old posts on this thread and found one talking about tainted thaumaturge mobs and trying to widen aura nodes into portals. I am just curious if this has anything to do with the crimson cult and what they're doing to nodes?

The valves were for testing --> pourring essentia from the reservoir to a jar. There is also a vague redstone system behind, I was messing around with stuff I don't understand that much.

I'm using normal jars. I saw that essentia reservoirs have, by default, less suction than the jars. Yet, since there are two types of essentias in those reservoir, it would be better to label the jars.

I think you can use automagic addon for the redstone part, it have a clock and other better useful stuff than vanilla ones, your ways seems less complicated than mine.

Well... In fact, I don't see much difference between the two contraptions. Mine is simply more compact because I used reservoirs instead of jars to store the essentia, letting me store two essentia at once. In the end, I end up with 1 reservoir = 4 jars = 2 essentia types.
and for Add-ons, I'm not really into them, since most of them, in my opinion, breaks the fragile balance of the game. Yet, I might take a dip in automagi. Give it a chance, to see how it will interact with the world. In other words: might be worth it.

Actually those don´t "break" the game, if you are going for a legit game, they have their have a balanced gameplay, and others add a much more lategame tier. But they are hard to get. I Need someone or a good tutorial to learn how to use Automagi advanced devices like the crystalline brains.

I've been experimenting with the reservoirs to see if I can use them as a temporary storage. Right now, I have alembics hooked up to the same type of buffer-bellow system being showcased everywhere. The problem is that since the buffers only store 8 at a time, the system can get jammed if too much essentia is in the system at once. Thus, I've been trying to see if I can get a reservoir to get filled with the excess if the buffers are full. They're giving me a hard time though. I can't seem to get any essentia out once it's in. Even when not hooked up to the network. I've put a reservoir under a buffer with 4 bellows and it still doesn't suck the essentia up. Anyone have any tips?

You need "choke" the tube in the direction you want to direct the essentia (equip a wand Shift+rightclick you will see an red ring in that tube)
Check the screen shoots we was posting and you will notice the red rings.

From that error it seems that you have an mod with an outdated version of my API. It will probably happen again when you do crafting related stuff with TC.
Sunscreen does have an effect still but it's less crazy bad. The change log has some info on the changes but it seems like there is more of a reprieve outside in the light. I definitely started burning after a little bit but didn't immediately combust like before. Also torchlight and such is safe now, from what I saw.
Probably worth noting that I had sun scorned 2. Don't know if that makes a difference.
I don't suppose there's a way to get a Thaumcraft version that is compatible with a lower forge version that has all the fixes that 4.2.1.4?
I can live with the biome issue if it means biomes o plenty works. It seems that the Biomes O Plenty mod refuses to work properly with the forge version you updated to Anazor
In the mean time I guess I'll pull back and keep with 4.2.1.3 until Biomes o Plenty updates to work with the new forge

I mean... It is working, but I'm wondering if there is more efficient and/or simpler methods to do so (to be fair, I'm probably overthinking it)
