Maybe this effect shouldn't happen/should be really rare on gold and wood materials? I mean, extra drops from coal is not exactly getting anybody too excited.....
People have previously outright asked for cursed ones.

If I helped you in any way or agree in my ideas or posts, make sure you click that green arrow pointing up below my post or simply huggle me! I use 1.7.10 (Modded), so when I comment that I like a 1.8 mod, I will comment to downgrade to 1.7.10. I support no pics, no clicks. Suggestions that I think that are the best deserves a banner!
It is almost time to say goodbye to 1.7.10 because of the recent surge of big 1.9 mods.
Why MCreator sucks: jcm2606's file (doesn't open a new tab) He allows/welcomes anyone to link the file, so I put it here in my signature for people to know how MCreator functions. I thank jcm2606 (he's awesome) for creating the document/file and I'm just here to spread the word.
Ever considered putting this mod on Curse? It would be much appreciated.
We have. The decision at the moment is not to. I'm currently experimenting with the Curse model on another project, figuring if I'm going to dabble, I may as well dabble on a new project. After (two days shy of) two months, Adfly still has a higher revenue, although Curse downloads took a few weeks to pick up speed from a new release, compared to an established mod's most recent full month.
I see the Curse advantage for users, definitely. Being able to go "that one" in the Curse launcher and it'll auto-download the linked library files. That's really awesome. For other files I think it can suggest and go "how about..?" but I am not sure, I've never used it myself. It's also got a collaborator system, allowing multiple users to share in the revenue from a single project. Which for Artifacts would be useful, as Tmtravlr is maintaining the code.
But Adfly has advantages for me that still outweight those benefits.
1) revenue is higher (60-100% more per-impression; that's nearly double). I'll admit that I'm even abusing the Curse system slightly by having broken the project into multiple pieces, though the effect is minimal due to providing a "give me everything" single-file download, and even so it's earning less on more downloads.
2) nicer dashboard metrics. Curse does not tell me how many "points" I have gained [this month], [last 30 days], etc. Only my current total and the list of when I was awarded them and how many. If I want the monthly or 30 day metrics, I have to calculate that myself. I mean heck, look at thesemetrics readouts.
3) Automatic payments. Adfly automatically deposits the funds into my Paypal account every month, provided the value is sufficiently large ($5, which I hit about every 2 months, 80% of which is this mod). Curse meanwhile has a minimum payout of $10 as Amazon credit (200 points), to get Paypal I need to hit $100 (2,000 points). I'm currently at about $3.65 (73 points). It's also a manual as far as I can tell.
Anyway, that's the transparent truth of the matter. Curse is neat, but not sufficiently valuable at the current time.

Wow, thank you so much for laying this down!
I guess I now kind of understand why other mods haven't jumped onto Curse either. Good thing about the Curse system is that we can still add mods that aren't on their platform so this isn't much of a problem.

Hmm, I can add some specs for a mod that I have had on curse for over a year.
For my colourful portals mod (the first mod I created), I get about 4000 downloads a month, which gives roughly 3.5 points a day. Therefore, I get about 100 points a month from it, which is $5 a month.
But yeah, to get acutal money, you need 2000 points at least, and then you have to physically click a button (nothing automatic as far as I'm aware, though I haven't actually looked). I actually do get 32 points a day from all the mods, maps, and whatnot that I have on there, so I get the 2000 points every 2 months or so. So you have to have a lot of content on curse to make it worth it.
Of course you could always have adfly links that point to the curse downloads (I've actually seen that before =P), but then you don't get the fancy download widget, and people are kinda bombarded with ads.
So yeah, I think curse is okay, but you do need a decent amount of content to make it worth it.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
Is this the mod that allows pressure plates to be placed on ceilings and walls?
Walls, yes. Ceilings, no.

Because the walls were hard enough to get working and kind of make sense (you can trigger them by going up ladders, because you'll almost always be off center slightly, or in narrow hallways). They'd also have to be a separate block and I'm not sure they would trigger from something just standing under it.

Love this mod. Thank you for making it!!! I'm curious. I found a clay golem spawner. The golems seem to follow me and make this weird sound around me. What is the point of the golems? Thanks! :-)

The clay golems should be hostile.

I don't get that sound, myself. I just get "Unable to play unknown soundEvent: minecraft:none" printed in the log. With 1.1.3. Is there a fix for this?
Ah, I missed the tool material. Bingo~

Nope, the occasional lackluster item is intended.

Haha, okay. Due to the vision restriction on the invisibility ones, there are ones that I already consider 'cursed' :3

Sorry if this has been asked already. ._.
The artifacts are awesome and useful!

500+ huggles? U wot, m8?
I found like a weird healing staff that keeps adding 2.5 hearts passively when held but it keeps adding 2.5 I don't think it was intended though.
Checking with 1.1.3 once i find it though ;3;

Either way, consider that you are getting around $5 per month.
Now, consider what you'd get if you asked people to support a patreon campaign.
