Update: Molten Fury! - Version 1.10.7.9 for Minecraft 1.7.10
Configs older than 1.10.6.4 will be reset!
New Rare Subspecies: The first rare subspecies has been added (all other subspecies are just uncommon), the Celestial Geonach! This is incredibly rare and also very dangerous, beware!
Familiars Added: The entire base code and GUI for familiars has been added, this does nothing at all so far, unless you're me! I'm not too sure what plans I have for familiars yet but donaters and patrons will have their own familiars in future updates. These base code also covers a lot of work required for Pet/Mount storage too!
Config Change: Light and Dark spawn conditions for mobs are now configurable.
Config Change: Subspecies and Random Sizes can now be disabled via the config, this wont affect mobs that have already spawned however.
Improvement: Krampus has come to join the winter celebrations! Additional, larger presents may drop on December 25th! Hoo hoo hoo!
Improvement: Summoned Grue minions no longer burn in the sun.
Improvement: Concapedes can now spawn in the dark which means you may find them underground in jungle biomes too. (Don't fear, the Concapede insane spawning bug was fixed long ago and wont be coming back).
Balancing: Spriggans now heal for 50% of the damage they deal, down from 100%.
Bug Fix: Beholders should now obey their masters, instead of killing them!
Bug Fix: Spriggan minions set to aggressive should now target threats and attack instead of just floating around!
Bug Fix: Khalks have finally learnt how to walk with all of their legs! It's incredible, clever Khalks!
Hello! First off, I would like to say thank you so much for all your hard work on this mod! It adds a whole new level of variety to the game and I love playing packs that include this mod. I have a couple of questions for you as the dev:
1. When attacked and feared by a phantom in certain open and closed spaces I've suffocated in a wall. I've lost hardcore worlds because of this. What normally happens during this situation is I get stuck in a wall or block, and I slowly move from full health to death. I've even been stuck through full health and then received all my health back from an artifact and still suffocated. This is an instance that makes me consider turning that particular mob off because of that particular mechanic's unfairness.
2. I've noticed the hitboxes on the mobs are a little small and make it incredibly difficult to hit mobs but still be hit by them. I love a good challenge, but I think it would be a bit more balanced if the mobs couldn't reach so far and also have a small hitbox. I've stood many times unable to hit a geonach but he was able to hit me.
Again, thank you so much for your time and great mod!!

Hah! You though you would see something interesting here, didn't you?
I have a small suggestion: Now that we have a big amount of hostile mobs, why not a Iron Golem-type mob? Y'know A mob that attack every hostile mobs in sight and will attack you when you attack them. Just want to throw out there some ideas.

Stop the mod thieves, for the everlasting peace!(Definitely not a Blue bomber reference)
can you make maka alphas and trites attack gorgomites and kobolds?
and can the khalk, the cephignis, the belph, the behemoth and the nether soul join the fire group and the frostweaver and the yeti in the ice group?
and can you make zephyrs attack the fire group?
and can you add the raw cephignis meat?
Hmm I'll take alook at some of the mob groups, it needs a bit of a tidy up really.
Raw Cephignis Meat doesn't make sense though as Cephignis live in lava so unless you have a plasma furnace or something, it's not really gonna be possible to cook!
Any way to remove the explosion ability from Geonachs when they spawn? It's getting annoying as I have to keep constantly fixing my mineshafts over and over again
Inside lycanitesmobs-spawning.cfg there should be an option somewhere to turn of the block destruction of the ROCK spawn type, that should fix it for ya!
Hey, I have few more questions. First, are you still looking into the event info and toggles? I ask because I didn't see it in the recent update. Also, you mentioned that DEATH and DARKNESS spawn conditions ignore the Dimension Blacklist/Whitelist and that there was a config option to change this; I can't see to find this option. And the last thing, is there a way to disable the Khalk's death effect; I like it as a mob and would like to keep it around, but it is making a mess of things...
Edit: I realize the lava does go away over time. However, if it dies in a flowing lava source, it won't. For example, I killed one in a 1 block lavafall in the nether and it turned it into a 9x9 pillar of lava; but because there was a flowing source above the 9x9 it hasn’t gone away and is spawning lots more...
Oops I was meant to add a config option for some spawn types ignoring dimension restrictions, I'll fix that! In fact ignoring dimensions as a separate option doesn't make sense now that there's a white/blacklist so instead I'll make them respect the white/blacklist and just have it as an empty blacklist by default so that they spawn in every dimension by default but can then be changed.
In infernomobs-general.cfg there should be an option somewhere for the Khalk death, it might be called Khalk Greifing.
Awesome mod, but it makes Hardcore nearly impossible, summary of my hardcore experience:
1st Night, Cinder Fire (or some other event), nearly die.
2nd Day, Die to a Spriggan after chopping down a tree.
Would be nice if this mod could be a bit more Hardcore friendly, but still, awesome mod!
I've been focusing a lot of hardcore where my goal was to make hardcore incredibly hard and more of a how long can you survive for game. However the configs are very expansive, you can lower the rate of events and you can lower the stat multiplier used for hard/hardcore difficulties too.

I've done some things to Phantom Fear in the latest update that might help, I'm going to be running more tests on it soon too, it's on my radar don't fear!
The hitboxes also need to be worked on a bit more, I really just need to do a lot of in depth testing!
and can you add the Feradon, Moloo, Warg, Calpod, Dawon, Maug, Serpix, Barghest, Wildkin, Gorger, Salamander, Roa, Herma, Abaia, Silex, Loray, Thresher, Strider, Geist, Shade, Darkling, Chupacabra, Myconid, Searcher, Gel, Mimic and the Doppelganger in 1 update?
and can you fix the summoned minions despawning
and can you add the summoning staff that summons masters?
yeah I'll quickly whip up that update now, it should only take me a few minutes! XD
Minions are designed to despawn but I do have some plans for minion portals that can be built!
Not sure what you mean by masters though!

I've been using CustomNPCs with Lycanite'sMobs(to create some more super awesome super hard beasts-like that's what we need. XD), and I've looked into that step sound thing... I've noticed that the step sounds are there, but being step sounds, to prevent being intrusive to the game they are very, very quiet. Same with things like projectiles and clouds. I guess you could increase the decibels in the actual sound files so you could hear them better, but I think it would become too annoying to hear thumping all the time. Also, some of the step sounds for creatures with great enough bulk can be heard without increasing the volume, as long as they don't make any other noises(or there isn't anything ambient going on).

Celestial geonach... WHY SO RARE I CAN'T EVEN SPAWN ONE I DID SPAWN ONE YOU CAN'T BEAT IT IN FULL DIAMOND ARMOR AND DIAMOND SWORD YOU COULDN'T BEAT IT IN SURVIVAL BUT THEN AGAIN YOU'LL NEVER MINE ENOUGH ORE TO EVER HAVE TO!!! Great work on celestial geonach it has more health than the enderdragon. Can't wait until the next rare. I already know the belph will be the hellfire belch, but I want to suggest another rare. How about the demonic grue. It would be like a grue, but it sets you on fire and shoots a red laser at you. Perhaps the red laser, except less powerful, could be a natural ability of a future shadow mob too.

Should try getting the frostweb scepter, can trap it though it can still hit you with the charge sometimes. Pretty much the frostweb scepter can solve alot of melee mob problems.
Also while I am testing about, I found an issue with the Khalk. Its hitbox is absurd, most of the time it is nearly impossible to melee. This issue traces to pinkies, trites, ventoraptors, uvuaraptors, and nether souls too though not as extreme. (pinkies can sometimes hit me through 1 block walls)
I get another bug too where pinkies, ventoraptors, and uvuaraptors can hit me when they perish, like a last ditch hit while dying. It is somewhat annoying and I am not sure what causes it.
Also, I am curious to the issue with pinkies one-shotting pigmen, that can sometimes affect the player (unless said player has armor). Is this an ability of theirs? If so, can there be an option to turn it off or a nerf to it?
Well my Minecraft is crashing with the same modpack I've used for a while and it's screaming about 'jason' file formats or something. Does anybody know what's going on?

Well, I can't make much sense of the report... but I do know that there are .json files in the versions folder, with each individual version, for the sounds of the game, etc. They're all over the place. As far as I can make out on a .json file(and I may be completely wrong about this), it seems to take whatever it's assigned to and organize/tag/add extra aspects like dimension size/etc. to it, as looking at legacy.json gives me the idea that it's taking each texture in Minecraft, assigning it a hash number, and a size. Json files are easily edited with a simple text editor like Wordpad, so maybe a variable was changed somewhere and that's why it's throwing the exception? I would blame a new mod being installed, but you say it's the same modpack that has worked before. And it doesn't look like it would be simple to wade through these files and spot any bad differences.
It does say "Use JsonReader.setLenient(true) to accept malformed JSON at line 1 column 13438", but I believe that's integrated in the code, so no luck there. Unfortunately, all I can think of is refreshing all of your files(maybe try resetting everything to default first?) and seeing if it keeps persisting. It doesn't make sense at all that something would magically change and now you have an broken json file... Though Minecraft does like downloading updates right when you hit Play, so maybe a newer version of one of the mods was installed and that's why it broke?
Talking of spawning, is there a way with some kind of custom spawner to modify how some non-Lycanites mobs to spawn, like having Mo' Creatures Fish spawn under your Water spawn so they can spawn in any water anywhere?
Adding mobs from other mods to the spawners is something I have plans for, but I'm not too sure when I'm gonna add that.
Wouldn't you only need to press F3 + B to test the hit boxes? Minecraft specifically has debug controls for this purpose.
Oh man I really need to look at all these F3 shortcuts! Thanks for the tip!
The issue isn;t really the hit boxes it's the melee attack range, but I think I may have fixed it now!
No problem, and to you too! Make sure to get fat off of delicious food-that's a requirement. XD

CustomNPCs is an awesome mod and it works with Lycanites Mobs really well too!
Yeah a lot of the step sounds are very quiet and a few are perhaps too quiet, I might increase their volume.

I think the odds are like 1 in every 400 or something for a Celestial Geonahc, very rare indeed but this is because of their incredible power, they are by vanilla standards bosses. They however will be nothing compared to the actual bosses I'll be adding later!
Should try getting the frostweb scepter, can trap it though it can still hit you with the charge sometimes. Pretty much the frostweb scepter can solve alot of melee mob problems.

Pinkies deal extra damage to Pigmen I could throw in a config to stop that if you like, it's because they naturally hunt them for dinner but Pigmen do crazy damage and the Pinkies just kept dying which was a bit embarrassing so i gave them a little edge.
Well my Minecraft is crashing with the same modpack I've used for a while and it's screaming about 'jason' file formats or something. Does anybody know what's going on?

Configs older than 1.10.6.4 will be reset!
Update 1.10.7.10
Improvement: Lobbers will now melt Obsidian, Cobblestone, Wood Planks
and Dirt into Lava if they are close and submerged in lava!
Bug Fix: Mobs should no longer trigger their death event twice when
dying! This should stop mobs from dying twice!
Bug Fix: Reduced the melee attack range, this should stop mobs from
attacking through blocks!
Config Change: Added more config options to mob spawn types where
ignoring certain checks can be turned on and off such as ignoring a mobs
dimension or light level requirements.
Config Change: Added a config option to enable or disable the Khalks
turning into a pile of lava on death.
Tweaks: Increased the movement speed of Grues slightly.

Ah I see, though it is kinda sad to see these undead brutes get bashed by pinkies (though it is very nice when you tick them off pinkies help clean out the aggro'd one's numbers)
Though their "edge" transferring to players is very weird indeed, it very rarely happens and only when the player isnt wearing armor. At least from my experience.
Lycanite, can you add migrations? They wouldn't be like events because these are a group of non-inferno, non-shadow, non-farm, fast, smaller animals that don't build nests and spawn in the overworld that spawn in huge numbers naturally. They would obliterate all mobs and structures in their path. It would influence you to build up your house of strong materials instead of making that boring wood house. They would break blocks at cretain speeds depending on their hardness, obsidian being un breakable. Some would dig. they wouldn't destroy your whole house... Because that' just lame. They would destroy it, but leave rubble. I particularlly want the raptors and lurkers to do the most, because who doesn't want those terrorfying things attacking them. They would trample the blocks they ran over, grass to dirt, dirt to gravel, gravel to sand. They would drink all water in their path and destroy trees. They would keep wandering forever, even in inactive chunks that have been loaded. If they were all killed, which would be required should they come to your house and you survibe, that would be the only thing to stop them. So, a ravine or something. I want this to happen for some kind of seige effect. In a large migration, it may take days for al, of them to reach you. Well that's all I have, I hope you add some form of migration. (Non-event please.) I know you want to have the world get overtaken by and army.

Maybe give a few days to prepare for the migration?

The funny thing is, I thought that, too.
An angel from le heavenz :3

Oh gee. XD I doubt that an angel would smite you as readily as the Geonach does. That texture is awesome though!
-Merry Christmas, by the way(or whatever holiday you might celebrate)!
Hmm I'll take alook at some of the mob groups, it needs a bit of a tidy up really.
Raw Cephignis Meat doesn't make sense though as Cephignis live in lava so unless you have a plasma furnace or something, it's not really gonna be possible to cook!
Inside lycanitesmobs-spawning.cfg there should be an option somewhere to turn of the block destruction of the ROCK spawn type, that should fix it for ya!
Looks awesome man!
The hitboxes also need to be worked on a bit more, I really just need to do a lot of in depth testing!
yeah I'll quickly whip up that update now, it should only take me a few minutes! XD
Minions are designed to despawn but I do have some plans for minion portals that can be built!
Not sure what you mean by masters though!
[quote=GrumpyDemon;/members/GrumpyDemon;/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1291613-lycanites-mobs-environmental-mobs-aggressive?comment=5005]I have a small suggestion: Now that we have a big amount of hostile mobs, why not a Iron Golem-type mob? Y'know A mob that attack every hostile mobs in sight and will attack you when you attack them. Just want to throw out there some ideas. Hmm a friendly protective mob, well I plan on maybe adding races in the future so they would fit that role.
Thanks bud :)))
Now you're asking for too much
Wouldn't you only need to press F3 + B to test the hit boxes? Minecraft specifically has debug controls for this purpose.

Aside from that, it's completely beyond me.
Adding mobs from other mods to the spawners is something I have plans for, but I'm not too sure when I'm gonna add that.
Oh man I really need to look at all these F3 shortcuts! Thanks for the tip!
The issue isn;t really the hit boxes it's the melee attack range, but I think I may have fixed it now!
Now that's how it's done, the Frostweb Scepter ca be very helpful indeed!
Pinkies deal extra damage to Pigmen I could throw in a config to stop that if you like, it's because they naturally hunt them for dinner but Pigmen do crazy damage and the Pinkies just kept dying which was a bit embarrassing so i gave them a little edge.
Events can be configured in lycanitesmobs-events.cfg. You can change how frequent they are and I think how long they last too.
As wasspix3_0 said, delete your usercache.json file either in .minecraft or at the root of your modpack folder.

EDIT: I see the option for lobbers.
