Poll: How should our mods be managed?

Poll: Should we re-do vanilla stained clay textures?

Okay. I just mainly want to remove the Ores in this mod for my modpack since I already have way too many ores in my modpack, and Uranium is already in my modpack, same with some others.

Well they are all part of the ore dictionary, so they are at least compatibility.
How the hell do I make a bed?
Ah, thank you.
Yeah, I know, but I have way too many ores within my modpack currently, and that can be a bit bad to find one certain ore out of 100 or so..
Nice job on the update, and I hope the next update has the ability to turn off ores and whatnot, maybe keep the Stained Clay textures vanilla styled by a config thingy.. I really want separated downloads since I just want everything in this mod but the ores in my modpack.

Cool!
Well of course it isn't as overhaul-heavy as Terra Firma Craft or Better than Wolves, lol. For one thing, Both of those mods started their development in late beta/early release, while we've only been around since about Minecraft release 1.5, which means they've had more than a year longer development period than we have. Plus, both of those mods aim to completely re-design the entire game, while our goal is to add massive new gameplay features while still maintaining the aesthetic and gameplay feeling of Vanilla, so their content will generally be much more game-altering than ours will (sometimes a little too game altering -- trying to play in survival mode on either of those mods takes a LUDICROUS amount of time...). However, our mod is nowhere near finished, and if you look through the official planned Features List (which is linked in the OP), you'll see that we have quite a lot of gameplay-changing features still to come.
Yep, that is indeed because they are emitting light. due to the way Minecraft's lighting system works, it completely removed all shadow effects from blocks that emit light. This works perfectly fine when it comes to things like Glowstone, but when it comes to light-emitting blocks that are supposed to texture-connect with other blocks that DON'T emit light, the effect doesn't really translate well. Unfortunately, there's no real way to fix that without re-writing the entire Vanilla lighting engine, but it doesn't really matter all that much, since most people will just mine the Sunstone Ore the moment they find it, anyways.
Also, for those of you who haven't noticed yet, Minestrapp updates 3.3.1 and 3.3.1.1 are out! 3.3.1 fixes a bunch of 3.3.0's bugs, including the bug that caused the new Stone types to be completely useless for crafting anything, the fact that the Cobbled Stairs for each Stone type were missing, and the problem that was causing Minestrapp's ores to not change their Stone texture based on what biome they generated in. It also includes a fancy new generation feature, which causes all Stone-based generated structures (such as Strongholds and Dungeons) to generate out of their biome's Stone type, adding a bit more immersion to your exploration. Version 3.3.1.1 is basically just a hotfix for a texture issue in 3.3.1, but also includes some small changes such as a modified title screen logo, and some splash-text easter-eggs.
As far as I know, there are, unfortunately, not. We put in a support request on the Faithful 32x32 thread waaaay back when Minecraft was only on version 1.6.2 or something, but thus far I have not seen any progress being made on it (which, based on their comments when we first requested it, may be partially because they're a bit intimidated by the sheer quantity of textures used by this mod ). The best way to get it added to the Faithful pack is by letting them know that it's requested by the community as well as us devs, though, so if you're interested in seeing an add-on pack happen, I'd reccomend commenting on their thread and letting them know!
Probably not. Clash has been gone for the past week or so, so any bugs with CSLib won't be able to be fixed until he gets back. Sorry!
