thank you for jumping on that so fast troyboy50. its working great now. i think im REALLY going to enjoy this mod. very good job thank you!
No problem, glad we have it all working now. LiteLoader has since patched the issue and I've uploaded yet another version to address it, but you don't need to bother with it unless you decide to update LiteLoader again sometime down the road. The newest version uploaded should work with liteloader's build #26 or later and there shouldn't be any more issues beyond that.
Is there or could you add a chat command (/autofish) that performs the same function as the keybind? Alternatively, could you add a settings button to the liteloader menu entry to bring up the gui? I find myself having too few keys to go around.

Definitely feel for you with the keybinds, I'll add the autofish GUI to LiteLoader's interface.

I can use it with no apparent problem, but the multi rod is not working for me, he uses up the rod in use, and does not change or switch between rods while fishing
Love the mod! Only issue i have is multirod option is not working for me either. running on 1.8 multi-player server
I load several rods on my hot bar and it never switches to new one when one breaks.
Fixed the issues with multirod and added the requests for both 1.7.10 and 1.8
Download Autofish 0.4.9 [1.8][1.7.10]
• Fixed multirod not switching after rod break
• Added alternate options menu in the LiteLoader config panel for those who want to disable the dedicated keybind
• Added mod compatibility for Mariculture and added Mariculture fishing rods to the config file by default

Try closing the game, deleting the config file located at /.minecraft/liteconfig/common/autofish.json and launching minecraft again. This will generate a new config file with the required Mariculture rods added to the file.

Already tested this. I had the fishing rods in there previously which didnt work and a new config didnt work either. What else could it be?
Darn, it's been working fine for me on 1.7.10 singleplayer.
I'm assuming you're using 1.7.10 since I couldn't find a 1.8 release to test.
Are you on singleplayer? If multiplayer, could you verify if it works in singleplayer?
Are you getting any sort of response at all from the mod? (when a fish bites)
Does the vanilla fishing rod autofish with Mariculture installed?
Any errors in the console?

Singleplayer works fine, multiplayer it doesnt.
In multiplayer it simply lets the hook sink and not reel.
Vanilla rod doesnt work in multiplayer either.
None that i can see but ill check the logs and make an edit here if i find one.

That would explain it then - singleplayer and multiplayer use entirely different detection methods. In singleplayer we can simply check if there's a "bite" and reel accordingly, but the client isn't given that information in multiplayer, so the mod has to analyze the movement of the hook and reel in a situation that seems like there's a bite (like when the hook goes down, etc.) Apparently Mariculture's fish hook physics don't exactly mirror vanilla's so it's not detecting in multiplayer properly. I'll see what I can do to fix this - hopefully there's not too much of a change from vanilla and it won't be a difficult workaround.

I can't find liteloader for 1.8. Because of this i can't use the 1.8 version of this mod. Is there a way to use this mod without the liteloader installed?
any chance of making a real life auto fisher for me down at the river??? lol

I can certainly take a look, no promises though as it depends on how Mariculture goes about replacing vanilla fishing rods and mechanics.

Thanks, I just re-uploaded a another version compiled against the latest liteloader source, redownload and it should be fine.
Thank you!
