I would like to ask for a little help please. I want to know if I can disable the extra grass feature in Bop for 1.9. The normal random grass that pops up everywhere in most biomes, can it be disabled?
I ask as I already have a high-res texture pack that add a ton of extra grass, I mean 99% of dirt/grass blocks have short and tall grass, so Bop adding extra is conflicting and doesn't look right, plus it seems to be costing a few frames as well.
I have to say, I would really like to know if this is possible too. Any word from the BO'P team???
I came here to ask the same question - is there any way in the 1.9 version to prevent the grass from spawning, or at least reduce it? I love everything else about BoP, but I feel like since I added it to my game I've spent more time running around clearing grass so I can see than doing any of my usual Minecraft-y activities. Thanks in advance for any help offered.
Ah yes, I'd forgotten about the "customize" button when choosing BoP as the world type for a new world - thanks, Forstride. Is there perhaps a way to accomplish the same thing as setting grasses to "no" in the customization that can be done through the config file? I've been using the Realistic Terrain Generation mod, which, as I understand it, creates a BoP world (if BoP is installed) using its more "realistic" terrain sculpting, but since I choose "Realistic" as my world type I lose access to the BoP customization options. I realize my "problem" here is essentially related my use of another mod, not BoP, but I enjoy both and don't want to have to choose between the two - any help would be much appreciated!

not sure. i don't know exactly how the customization options are stored in the world file, and i'm not sure if it would even work if using RTG's world type
Well darn. :\ I just created a BoP world w/o RTG so I could check the effects of losing the grasses - it reduced the lag I was having and sped up my framerate considerably, but I missed the smoother biome transitions and stuff from RTG, so I'll keep searching for a solution that'll let me have the best of both mods. Thanks for the reply, Forstride.
I want to code a Biomes O Plenty addon. Can I do that? Do I need permission from the guy who made it? Does anyone know?
It depends on the type of add-on. If it's just something that adds new biomes or whatever, I'd prefer if you just made your own mod, because I don't want something that basically serves the same purpose to have our name attached to it.

I don't really see why that necessarily needs to be a BOP add-on. Just use the biome dictionary for mob spawning, and it should work with any biome mod.

Sorry I'm a noob I have no idea what a biome dictionary is.

I found this for you, hopefully this should help point you in the right direction. I know squat about coding myself and have no idea where to start, but this seems like what you might be looking for. It is for Forge, so keep that in mind.

Anyone else noticed that the Jacaranda fence textures don't load at all (in build 2004 for 1.8.9), or is it just me?

Is there a way I can disable some biomes from the 1.8 version? If so how?

Yes, there are options to disable pretty much every BOP world gen thing in the customization menu when you create a new world.
It doesnt show,I click customize and then next page. It's only blank D=
Any reason why it does that?

Hold your horses. People do have lives outside of the forums, you know. You'll be answered when you're answered.
Just a quick question, but could Realistic Terrain Generation and Biomes O' Plenty work together?
Sorry, I'll be less impatient.
