EDIT: well...sorta Seasons Mod ain't working for me? I pot all the contens which are needed in the Mod Folder, but the Mod didn't even installed. ~3~'
EDIT2: Nevermind, i just found out how i get Seasons to work. I wouldn't have minded if there was a little instruction how you install Seasons correctly because "put into mod folders" is pretty much default and made me think i would have to put it into the normal mod folders. The long loading of the game actually still bothers me (had to wait almost 6 minutes o_o') but yeah. Now i can go try the mod out, even thought i can't use BetterStorage with it 8(
ShiroShitoro - The crash is due to a known issue with my loader that I've already fixed, but I'm trying to improve the installation process for the next public release so that it doesn't directly alter the LaunchWrapper (like it does in my current private release).
The installation of the current public versions of The Seasons Mod, my loader, and my loader's add-ons actually is as simple as dropping them into the mods folder, assuming that your internet browser didn't rename the files' extensions (in which case I suggest either switching internet browsers or manually checking and possibly renaming every file's extension that you download).
As for the long load time, either the mods you have require a long startup load time to set up and/or you have a weak CPU (and/or you need to update drivers). While I do need to optimize the loader a bit more, it's already quite efficient - so an optimization update won't make a huge difference. Regardless, since it's just a large startup cost, you won't need to experience it constantly (just when the code gets loaded).

Anyways, thanks for the reply, now i am sure smarter about the current stat. I probably also should look how i get it to load faster, otherwise i just have to stick with that long loading time. 83 It's for sure a nice mod, stuff are randomly growing, it's a nice experience~
Shiro - I wish I was finished with the next version of TSM+PML, because there's plenty of issues that have already been addressed since the current public editions. Would be a little cooler still...
MrKyurem - That issue was reported a while ago and has already been fixed for the latest private builds of the loader. Once I finish refactoring for better installation, I'll make the fix public. Thanks for mentioning it, just in case, though
(The fix requires tons of recoding for mods [such as CodeChicken's stuff] that don't follow a compatible load mechanic for truly dynamic edits [using reflection to define a class, instead of letting things happen the normal way])

You got plenty of time and the more time you got, the lesser mistakes can happen and the more issues can be taken down. It's allready great that there is a 1.7.10 version because i pretty much just play this version currently.
I've done enough changes to declare the code good enough for The Seasons Mod pre-3.0beta7, and have shared it (along with the last working build of PML, v7.1) with my secondary testers (currently waiting to hear from my primary tester before sharing with him ). I don't think I missed anyone that asked to be a secondary tester, but please let me know if I'm mistaken so I can fix it.
Shiro - Too late - called it good enough. Still has known issues/bugs, but has significant improvements compared to beta6 (and even more compared to beta4, the current public version). It feels good to show people that I haven't fully wasted these last few months. And there is a bit of a rush - I need to finally update to Minecraft 1.8 before it's considered old, too. I've gone for quite a while without knowing how many users I have, from not having anything to count downloads (I tend to use the ad. service for that a fair bit, since Dropbox stopped showing that info to me)

My friends and I LOVE your mod. In fact, we tried playing on a server without it and just had to switch back, the variety it provides keeps the game much more interesting.
Something I have noticed though, and can't find anywhere on this forum (perhaps I missed it, if so, sorry!). With the latest version, I opened the SeasonsData.dat file with a NBTEditor and can't find the SummerRainDestroy phrase anywhere. Is this feature disabled? The SpringGrow is getting a bit overwhelming and summer rains aren't destroying the grass!
Lostsouls46 - I removed the spring rain destroying plants because it didn't fit with the new plant spawning system (can spawn stuff in any season. plus, the plants being removed from the world was done through an edit to the plants, and modders don't always follow what's logical/proper - potential lag nightmare). You can slow the spawning by increasing "floweringGrowthStopChance", or by doing some more advanced manipulations of the spawn config. I'll add something in to replace it when I come up with a good alternative.

do you have any plans to add a ore dictonary-like thing for plants so your mod can spawn plants from other mods? because I remember that being a problem when i used this back along time ago.
jeffg12467 - I've written some API code for this mod in the past, but nobody bothered using it, so I gave up. Instead of trying again, I just go over other modders to bring everything to the users. The plant spawns don't need to be plants - you could even spawn blocks of diamond, and the mod won't care. I've also completely rewritten the plant spawn logic so that it's more open and logical for users (though at the cost of simplicity) and made it so it actually works. It can now be used for each of the seasons, no longer limiting creativity to just Spring. (It's also biome-dependent, which is where the simplicity disappeared)

I have another question. I tried rowing a giant jungle tree today, and even in creative no matter how much bonemeal I put into the sapling, I just couldn't get it to grow. Is there some formula to the bonemeal nerf that I can look at to determine exactly how much bonemeal I need to grow a tree of that size?

Houston i have a problem. When I try to load up a world or create a new one at the very end of it loading it say shutting down internal server..... and here is the funny part it doesn't crash but instead it takes me to the multiplayer tab even though is was trying to load it up on a singleplayer world.

Anyways, thanks for the reply, now i am sure smarter about the current stat. I probably also should look how i get it to load faster, otherwise i just have to stick with that long loading time. 83 It's for sure a nice mod, stuff are randomly growing, it's a nice experience~
Shiro - I wish I was finished with the next version of TSM+PML, because there's plenty of issues that have already been addressed since the current public editions. Would be a little cooler still...
MrKyurem - That issue was reported a while ago and has already been fixed for the latest private builds of the loader. Once I finish refactoring for better installation, I'll make the fix public. Thanks for mentioning it, just in case, though
(The fix requires tons of recoding for mods [such as CodeChicken's stuff] that don't follow a compatible load mechanic for truly dynamic edits [using reflection to define a class, instead of letting things happen the normal way])

GeryMane - pre-3.0beta4 is available for download, already. pre-3.0beta7 will be ready for my private testers soon - there's still a lot to do, so I'll be calling the changes good enough and releasing as-is, soon. (Both are for 1.7.10)

You got plenty of time and the more time you got, the lesser mistakes can happen and the more issues can be taken down. It's allready great that there is a 1.7.10 version because i pretty much just play this version currently.
I've done enough changes to declare the code good enough for The Seasons Mod pre-3.0beta7, and have shared it (along with the last working build of PML, v7.1) with my secondary testers (currently waiting to hear from my primary tester before sharing with him ). I don't think I missed anyone that asked to be a secondary tester, but please let me know if I'm mistaken so I can fix it.
Shiro - Too late - called it good enough. Still has known issues/bugs, but has significant improvements compared to beta6 (and even more compared to beta4, the current public version). It feels good to show people that I haven't fully wasted these last few months. And there is a bit of a rush - I need to finally update to Minecraft 1.8 before it's considered old, too. I've gone for quite a while without knowing how many users I have, from not having anything to count downloads (I tend to use the ad. service for that a fair bit, since Dropbox stopped showing that info to me)

My friends and I LOVE your mod. In fact, we tried playing on a server without it and just had to switch back, the variety it provides keeps the game much more interesting.
Something I have noticed though, and can't find anywhere on this forum (perhaps I missed it, if so, sorry!). With the latest version, I opened the SeasonsData.dat file with a NBTEditor and can't find the SummerRainDestroy phrase anywhere. Is this feature disabled? The SpringGrow is getting a bit overwhelming and summer rains aren't destroying the grass!

Lostsouls46 - I removed the spring rain destroying plants because it didn't fit with the new plant spawning system (can spawn stuff in any season. plus, the plants being removed from the world was done through an edit to the plants, and modders don't always follow what's logical/proper - potential lag nightmare). You can slow the spawning by increasing "floweringGrowthStopChance", or by doing some more advanced manipulations of the spawn config. I'll add something in to replace it when I come up with a good alternative.

do you have any plans to add a ore dictonary-like thing for plants so your mod can spawn plants from other mods? because I remember that being a problem when i used this back along time ago.
jeffg12467 - I've written some API code for this mod in the past, but nobody bothered using it, so I gave up. Instead of trying again, I just go over other modders to bring everything to the users. The plant spawns don't need to be plants - you could even spawn blocks of diamond, and the mod won't care. I've also completely rewritten the plant spawn logic so that it's more open and logical for users (though at the cost of simplicity) and made it so it actually works. It can now be used for each of the seasons, no longer limiting creativity to just Spring. (It's also biome-dependent, which is where the simplicity disappeared)

All go in the mods folder, and make sure that you keep the correct extensions (some internet browsers rename the extension).

Hey WeatherPony,
I have another question. I tried rowing a giant jungle tree today, and even in creative no matter how much bonemeal I put into the sapling, I just couldn't get it to grow. Is there some formula to the bonemeal nerf that I can look at to determine exactly how much bonemeal I need to grow a tree of that size?

Houston i have a problem. When I try to load up a world or create a new one at the very end of it loading it say shutting down internal server..... and here is the funny part it doesn't crash but instead it takes me to the multiplayer tab even though is was trying to load it up on a singleplayer world.
Can you please help me with this.
not sure, i had that problem many times, try using a fresh install of 1.7.10 and Forge 7.10.85.1291, that solved it for me when i got that.
