I'm leaving this here as the github doesn't appear to be particularly active.
Anything using the newest version of the Buildcraft api (including the wooden extraction pipe) will duplicate items within the meteor shield instead of extracting them.
I've tested Buildcraft's pipes and EnderIO's Item Conduits. Right now I'm hoping that no one on my server reads this or I'll be in for a fun time.

I'm using version 6.1.8 of Buildcraft.
Very odd given that I don't use Buildcraft's API for extraction of items. I actually use minecraft's default interface of ISidedInventory to do the extraction/inserts. I'll give it a nice look see to make sure.
Also, my github hasn't had any activity lately due to me being incredibly busy with college. I'm trying to find time to get everything together but I'm just having a hard time balancing my time to work on things. I'll get all the problems worked out eventually and also get the update out eventually. But still, feel free to post issues on the github. It helps me keep track of what to work on next.
Sure thing and, no worries. I'm using a transfer node from extra utilities to move items out of the meteor shield for now. I have yet to test Applied Energistics with a meteor shield.

Comets leave 3 to 6 blocks behind and won't damage the land. That's what you saw. As for the meteorite ore instead of the meteorite blocks, that's just plain odd. That literally cannot happen since I've plainly stated in the code for it to be the meteorite block. Also, please don't quadruple-post. PsionicArchon was speaking plain english.

Can someone explain to me what the config options mean? (see spoiler below)
B:"Allow Summoned Meteor Grief"=false Specifically, what does this do?*
I:"Chunk Generation Checks"=4 ?
I:"Cold Touch Enchantment ID"=158
B:"Frezarite Meteor Enabled"=true (ones that I didn't mark strike me as self explanatory, tho if it's trickier than it appears, please explain it)
I:"Kitty Attack Chance"=1 *1% ?*
B:"Kreknorite Meteor Enabled"=true
I:"Magnetization Enchantment ID"=157
I:"Maximum Meteor Size"=3
I:"Meteor Fall Deterrence"=1
I:"Meteor Fall Radius"=350 ?
I:"Meteor Ore Gen Size"=6 ?
B:"Meteorite Meteor Enabled"=true
B:"Meteors Only Fall at Night"=false
I:"Minimum Meteor Size"=1
I:"Shield Radius in Chunks"=4 ?
B:"Text Crash Notification"=true
B:"Unknown Meteor Enabled"=true

B:"Allow Summoned Meteor Grief"=false If a player tries to summon a meteor in the proximity of a meteor shield owned by another player, it will prevent it. True allows grief, false does not allow it.
I:"Chunk Generation Checks"=4 Meant for those that like to modify how frequent the meteorite ore pops up underground. This essentially means that there are up to 4 ore veins per chunk.
I:"Cold Touch Enchantment ID"=158
B:"Frezarite Meteor Enabled"=true (ones that I didn't mark strike me as self explanatory, tho if it's trickier than it appears, please explain it)
I:"Kitty Attack Chance"=1 Yes, it is based on a percent chance.
B:"Kreknorite Meteor Enabled"=true
I:"Magnetization Enchantment ID"=157
I:"Maximum Meteor Size"=3
I:"Meteor Fall Deterrence"=1
I:"Meteor Fall Radius"=350 How close to you can a meteor fall. So 0-350 blocks away
I:"Meteor Ore Gen Size"=6 What's the highest amount of meteorite ore blocks that can generate in one vein of ore underground.
B:"Meteorite Meteor Enabled"=true
B:"Meteors Only Fall at Night"=false
I:"Minimum Meteor Size"=1
I:"Shield Radius in Chunks"=4 This is an old config but a shield with no upgrades will protect 4 chunks away from the shield from meteors.
B:"Text Crash Notification"=true
B:"Unknown Meteor Enabled"=true
Ergh, I really need to update so that comments on these show up in the config file. lol I've modified your quoted post with the replies.

Lovely, thanks! Comments are probably a good idea.
About the alien creeper - they're cool. The antenna is amusing haha. I'm not sure if you did this on purpose or not, but both snow golems and iron golems attack them on sight. With regular creepers in minecraft 1.6.2, the golems ignore them.

While that's very amusing, I'll be sure to check the AI for it so that doesn't happen anymore.
Yes, in the config there is an option to turn it off.
I have never seen a bunch of meteors raining down at the same time.
There's a 1% chance (by default) that a kitty comet attack will happen. If you want to force it to happen, then just do /kittyattack

Just to clear up any potential descrepencies that may or may not arise.
