For the appearance of the custom NPC's, are you able to use custom-made skins? Or are you only able to use the textures/skins that are included in the mod?

Is their a way, on a server, to make a NPC hidden for a player who has completed a quest, but still visible for ANOTHER player who HASN'T?

This is probably the place. And that is a top ten question - sadly the answer is no.
Wonder if Noppes has any plan to make this mod for 1.10.2. This is my favorite mod. I am playing 1.10.2 now but things get easily boring without this mod.

Sure his Patreon account with 3 patrons and 83$ (I'm in at 2$) has a great ratio of $ to patrons except when you look at some one like the Railcraft guy (one of my favorite mods, I'm in at 0$) with 57 patrons and 348$ which just has more $$.

Asking questions regarding wishing for updates and "are you going to update to xyx?" are considered against Forum rules as a form of pestering.
To answer your questions though; when he gets around to it. A mod of the size and complexity such as this needs a fair amount of work to iron out bugs and upgrade versions. If you wish to help, consider bug testing beta versions and forming a comprehensive list so its easy to track and eliminate any problems you find.
Finally, a 1.9.4 beta was released by Noppes not long ago. This is the link I found to its direct dropbox link. Or if you are suspicious of the link here is the original post.

Ok --- I think the problem is its looking for a file called "outdoor_market_crowd_with_voices" in the sub folder sounds/sounds - in other words leave out the sounds/ because it defaults to that folder

1 has the sound file ever shown up ? there is a list of directories when you open it.
2 Where exactly is your sound file? - should be \.minecraft\customnpcs\assets\customnpcs\sounds\
3 Where exactly is your json file? should be \.minecraft\customnpcs\assets\customnpcs\
4 what version are you using? I think is was different in older versions
Hi, in some utube channels they can make them sit run swim and stuff. How do u do that becuz im makin a utube channel.
Number 1:Please learn to spell properly.
Number 2: Please don't use letters in place of words... The custom NPCs forum has a lot of super duper smart people.(Seriously. These people are talking about scripting as if it was nothing. I wish I could do that. (¬﹏¬) ) Good idea to try to be like them, because... well, they are super smart.
Number 3: Please use grammar, and identify who "they" are. I would assume the NPCs, but i'm not sure.
Actually responding: It depends on what kind of NPC it is. If they are told to run somewhere, they will run somewhere, but you have to enable it in the custom NPCs gui that opens up when you right click one with an NPC wand. Look around the GUI that opens up. Scroll through tabs and stuff. You will find that option somewhere.
If you want one to run to an exact location, you must use the NPC pather. I'm STILL not entirely sure how it works, yet i've used this mod for years

Um...how do I put the custom skins on the NPC? I can do the ones that are already in the modpack, but I don't know how to do the ones that I've made.
The custom skins goes into here
assets\customnpcs\textures\entity
Just open the Customnpc mod with Winrar.
Then locate the folder i just mentioned.
Inside it you will se the exsisting folders with the regular skins.
I always make a new folder and add my skins in it, that way i can always re-add and its easier to find when
changing skins ingame.

MINECRAFT needs World-edit like tools in the creative mode.
