Please do not edit the config file manually - just use the GUI. You can find it at Main Menu -> Mods -> Recurrent Complex -> Config.
In fact, I don't even know the exact Syntax FML uses for String lists, since I never have to manually enter it
Hi. I usually use your mod in my servers, but recently I found that statues doesn't have the texture of the material I use, or even they are transparent.
I mean. Before that, when I make a statue in stone, it has the stone texture, and when I do this in a bookcase, it acquires the bookcase texture. Now no matter the texture of the block, all of them are turned into stone and without proper textures (no eyes, no transparent zones) I tried to change the two features of the config file and they all turned into transparent textures.
What am I doing bad?
The correct 'complete' setting is setting fetchDynamicStatueTextures and doStatueTextureMerge both to true, unless it causes problems (crashes or similar). If you turn them off, they'll look like plain stone / block textures.
Thank you for your reply. I turned both settings to true and both my friend and I see transparent statues. We are running many mods, but no shader mod or anything that changes the textures, just Optifine.
Also the statues has "fire", depending the side you look at them. Is very annoying because I like your mod a lot and we are using your statues as a minecraft goal, collecting all mobs, but I want to fix these graphic problems.
Oh, Optifine... Yeah, definitely try it without Optifine. The mod's been known to mess things up with rendering a lot.
If that's the cause, there's nothing I can do to fix it - otherwise, I'll try to have a closer look myself.
Hey Ivorius. I know your not working on gravitycraft anymore, shoot everyone knows but would it be possible for you to rewrite it for 1.2.5 without the sheer amount of base class replacements? A little project just came to my attention and all it needs is a gravitycraft without as many base class replacements for 1.2.5 if the creators response to my post asking about gravitycrafts possibility in it was any indication...

As mentioned previously, the gigantic amount of base class edits was basically what made it work in the first place. It's impossible to make it work without them (these days it would be coremods, which would make it Forge compatible, but would also increase the setup work exponentially), and it's as impossible for the guy to encompass GC in Intermediary as it would be rewriting GC for 1.7.10 from scratch.
Placing blocks (at a specific postion) picked from a List at random
This is possible: there are the 'replace' and 'replace all' block transformers. Upon structure export, you can add one of those, and it will do the same thing essentially.
Now that you say it, I should really upgrade their capabilities. Currently it's randomized metadata only iirc.
You can also use a spawn command block, with which you can practically do this with even randomized NBT (for example, for randomized mob spawners). Obviously, this is a bit more intricate, but also a bit harder to use.
What do you mean? From any structure to any structure, or from one particular structure to another of the same type? You can currently modify the generation rates in the config, which will essentially increase the distances between structures.
A configurable Artifact generator (I switched all vanilla tools for the TConstruc one for example)
All the inventory generators are configurable and modular, so you can pretty much replace all occurrences of the artifact generator with randomized TC loot.
I do not personally provide a randomized TC loot generator, as their systems are more intricate than vanilla's and thus harder to simply randomize. It would be possible to do that with an addon mod, but of course that would require programming skills.
I might make the process simpler in the future by providing personal support for TC, but for the moment, it's not a big priority
The best would both, as Atomictrykers Ruins had.
Can you give me a hint or some type of rule how the distance is calculated because a lonely multiplicator is abstract.
It's not actually a distance modifier - I don't do my calculations on that basis, since it doesn't make much logical sense.
Basically, for each chunk there's a chance for a structure to spawn - based on the category. The spawned structure is determined by the spawn weight of each specific structure, so you can make an individual structure rarer in the grand scheme of things by decreasing the weight.
Lastly, the config plays a role by multiplying the final chance by the amount - '0.5' practically means that there will be half as many structures, and that means the average distance is doubled.
Or are there more possibilitys to configuration the rarity for specific structures, only 3 Categorys may be a bit to low.
The newest version will (as does the current latest nightly) two new categories, upon popular request. You can also decrease the spawn weight of the individual structure to decrease the chance for that one to be selected on a structure spawn individually.
Or some type of configuration value which type of Items go into the Artifact generator.
It's simply not as easy as that - TCs items are a lot more complicated than just a basic selection of a few items.
As I said, however - I will likely make the artifact generator more configurable and modular in the future.
Sorry, man. I wish it were that easy myself
But the thing about intermediary is it doesn't make any changes to the 1.2.5 mods at all, it just makes a intercept layer to run the base mod on a higher version, gravitycraft was, and still is the best mod ive ever used... and I see a hope to get it working again just to get that hope crushed to tiny pieces... story of my life right there, im NEVER lucky enough to get the good side of the coin :/
...I now have to explain to every minecraft player I know and my little brother that it seems gravitycraft isn't going to be useable.. that's gonna suck
Importing my structures in the new Version should be going fine? after import and a save everything seemed ok.
Yep, it's very important to me that even in Beta, all versions are completely backwards compatible. The files are supposed to be a safe bet for saving your structures
Are their a bit more information about how the different transformers work?
In the new nightlies, I added some more tooltips explaining the transformers. Other than that, not yet, since I haven't catalogued them in the wiki yet.
I seem to be crashing whenever I try to install Psychedelicraft. Your other mods are working, as far as I can tell.
Thanks to whoever tells me what I'm doing wrong with the mod

i feel like a slight delay on any keyboard input during the effects of alcohol in psycadelicraft could be cool
Hmmm... Perhaps, but the nature of the game doesn't really allow me to do that. I could try some dirty hax, but that would only work for some inputs...
Thinking about it, what might be possible instead is just delaying the display updates (3D, not GUI)... Hrm. Would require lots of caching. I don't know, I'll consider it.
New: Static structure generation type - this replaces spawn structures from the config
New: Structure list generation type - this can be used to dynamically spawn structures from weighted lists using structure blocks
New: Biomes, Dimensions and Blocks are now matched by bool expressions - a description can be found on the wiki
New: A structure can now have any number of generation types
New: Structures now have an overall spawn weight
New: Ultra Rare and Ultra Common spawn categories
New: All structure files now have 'metadata' containing author info
New: It's now possible to accept biome/dimension/block presets without modifying them, to benefit from potential future changes gracefully
New: Lots of tooltips to explain the GUI, and other GUI improvements
New: Option to toggle admin notification for command spawn block executions
New: Option to change the block selector modifier key
Change: Config options have been moved to different categories - this will invalidate some previous settings
Change: When few structures are registered, the generator will now compensate stronger to avoid repeating structures
Change: All 'weights' are now floating point numbers
Change: /#editstructure is now called /#edit
Change: Ruins block transformer is now capable of spawning vines and eroding blocks
Change: Floating Block Selector selection distance now changes faster
Change: /#select relative coordinates now select relative to the previous coordinates rather than the player
Fix: Block transformers now work properly again (i.e. coordinates)
Fix: Previews now show rotated bounding boxes correctly
Fix: Maze path guis now work properly again
Fix: /#move now doesn't drop as many items (e.g. chests)
Again, for the time being I'll continue working on Recurrent Complex. I didn't mean to release this early, but I found a few bugs and changes I definitely wanted to release asap (mainly the block transformer fix, modular generation types and using presets (which will definitely come in handy for the dimension dictionary thing)).
Whenever I try to load psychedelicraft with Java 8 my launcher doesn't even open Minecraft, it only leaves an output.

As it states in the crash log:
'[19:13:42] [main/ERROR] [FML]: The mod psychedelicraftcore (Psychedelicraft Core) requires mods ivtoolkit to be available'
This means that the mod Psychedelicraft Core requires the mod ivtoolkit to be installed. Go figure
New: /#whatisthis that will tell the player what structures are at a certain position (if generated after 0.9.5.1).
New: avoidOverlappingGeneration option that cancels generating structures that would overlap previously generated structures
Fix: Spawn rates of various structures
Especially the fix is important, which is why I needed to get the version out fast. Nevertheless, the two new features are something that have been requested time and time again, so I hope they meet the expectations
Does the Invincible Hamster Mod still exist? I used to play around with it back in (I think) 2011, and would like to play around with it some more again.

I discontinued the mod a good while ago, due to simply not being interested in it any more. The source code is available at https://github.com/Ivorforce/InvincibleHamster under WTFPL, so if you know any programmers, they can grab the source and continue it for you
Not online or anything, no. However, the mod logs every registered structure to the console, so you can find a complete list there.
A GUI for this is planned, though
Please do not edit the config file manually - just use the GUI. You can find it at Main Menu -> Mods -> Recurrent Complex -> Config.
In fact, I don't even know the exact Syntax FML uses for String lists, since I never have to manually enter it
Check out my mod!
The correct 'complete' setting is setting fetchDynamicStatueTextures and doStatueTextureMerge both to true, unless it causes problems (crashes or similar). If you turn them off, they'll look like plain stone / block textures.
Oh, Optifine... Yeah, definitely try it without Optifine. The mod's been known to mess things up with rendering a lot.
If that's the cause, there's nothing I can do to fix it - otherwise, I'll try to have a closer look myself.

Heres the project, theres already some progress from the guy working on it, even if it's a small amount!
Sorry, man. I wish it were that easy myself
Yep.
The newest version will (as does the current latest nightly) two new categories, upon popular request. You can also decrease the spawn weight of the individual structure to decrease the chance for that one to be selected on a structure spawn individually.
It's simply not as easy as that - TCs items are a lot more complicated than just a basic selection of a few items.
As I said, however - I will likely make the artifact generator more configurable and modular in the future.
Right, that might be the case. The current version has biome and dimension type weights, but an overall weight was added only rather recently.
Yep, it's very important to me that even in Beta, all versions are completely backwards compatible. The files are supposed to be a safe bet for saving your structures
In the new nightlies, I added some more tooltips explaining the transformers. Other than that, not yet, since I haven't catalogued them in the wiki yet.
Koala.
Woah, this was my first post.
