you can also use MCEDIT to delete all the chunks that don't have anything you build in them. I've done that before when I updated from 1.4.7 to 1.6.4.
How does MCedit even work with mods? I always hear people say they use it to fix things that crash their game but wouldn't the non-vanilla blocks (in this case TF blocks) cause an issue or would they just appear as pink missing block boxes (like air does when you use it as a brush)?

MCEdit used to have problems with mod blocks and would delete them if you edited a region with mod blocks in the area.
now they just show as pink blocks, but a few vanilla blocks do as well due to MCEdit not using the current texture system.
and since you'd just be deleting chunks, you don't really care about that.
Been wanting to ask this for awhile but I remember seeing castles made of mushrooms in the Mushroom Forest biome when I was playing on 2.3.4. Are those going to be anything or were they removed in the latest update (I can't find one in my 2.3.5 world)
Also, why do ice crystals despawn even when named? I'm assuming it's because I'm spawning them in a warm biome but idk.
Has the Snow Queen stopped dropping the Tri-bow and been switched to dropping the Seeker bow? I've been wanting to collect all the Twilight Forest bows, but have only gotten the Seeker bow from the Snow Queen. (I'm especially interested in the Tri-bow!)
I'm having a small issue when trying to place giant blocks; namely I cant seem to place them at all. Is there some trick to it that I'm missing?
They have to be aligned to a quarter-chunk boundary (a multiple of 4), both horizontally and vertically.

You want a farm, you grab a hoe. You want a boat, you grab some wood. You want a fireplace, you grab A FLAMING HELL-BOULDER BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MINECRAFTERS ROLL!!!

Taking you advice I find I am now able to place giant blocks in some places, but I still can't place them where i want them. I'm trying to make a floor mosaic with giant obsidian and normal obsidian but the giant blocks are always one block above or three blocks below the level of my floor and I can't get them in the right places either. Is there a fix for this?

I just want to reply to my own post and say that it seems to me that the Snow Queen does drop the Tri-bow in addition to the Seeker bow, but at a much rarer rate, as of this post's current version (prior to the addition of the final Castle, with progression stopping at the thornlands). She either drops one or the other, not both, in any one kill.

Yeah, make your floor one block higher.

Yes, that's another option. Forgot to mention that. I normally just use the resetting method.

Nope. Only spawn eggs. I'm looking for /give commands or maybe another mod that lets me have modded mobs without using redstone, etc.
Hmm...in 1.6.4 they are there....or are all those from MOC......hmmm.
the command for creating a spawner: (just change Zombie to the Id of the mob you want)

So... what is this "Wrecking Block" thing?
the changelog behind the wiki link in the op is seriously outdated.

I think that an image is missing : "knight_metal_loop.png" into the textures
I having trouble going past the thornlands part of the progression even thought I went passed it using lamp of cinders
