If Matmos is your only mod, sure LiteLoader is great. If you want to add it to a modpack though, it's a pain in the you-know-what. The Curse launcher, which is more or less becoming to go-to for modpacks, already creates Forge instances based on whichever modpack you're playing. Add LiteLoader, and you now have instances inside instances inside instances.
Forge already creates a "Mods" folder. There's no reason, from the user's perspective, that installing a mod shouldn't be as easy as drag, drop, and play. That's how NEI/JEI does it, that's how Journey Map/Voxelmap does it, and that's how dozens (if not hundreds) of other client-side mods do it. Why should MAtmos be the one mod I have to install LiteLoader for?
its all the same , drop any litemod into its appropriate versions folder and get the liteloader.jar from the Developer site, not the installer and do the same.Forge will load Liteloader.jar like any other jar mod . Still your beating a dead Dinosaur . Moving forward Matmos and PF are already merged into a Forge mod . I'm using it with no problems

As soccerguy3 said, it IS as easy as "drag, drop, and play". Forge loads liteloader like a mod, so drop both the liteloader.jar and matmos.litemod into mods folder. That said, I won't argue with the dev's decisions.
Try this: push F7 button, click "Advanced ..." button, enable dev mode, then go back and click "+" buttons next to volume controls one by one.
It will display list of all sounds loaded by MAtmos. Reds are not played, blues are sounds you hear at that moment. Then find these names in JSON files in MAtmos resource pack. They will be in section called "machine" which defines all sound events and their conditions. Then find "event" property (the value usually looks like "00jon_Nether_Explode") in them and find corresponding items in "event" section of same file. Section "event" defines all sounds and stores paths to all files.
Is it possible you can forward this to another downloading website? I currently cannot access OneDrive for some strange reason and would love to add this mod again to my minecraft.

I've been using this mod for quite some time and love it, especially with presence footsteps and sound filters. Just found out there another mod AmbientSounds, anybody here have experience with it? I love the fact that you fixed underwater sounds, absolutely amazing!
This is correct , OreCruncher has started updating Dynamic surroundings and has all the major versions posted at curseforge up to version 1.10.2 .
I compiled a 1.11.2 unofficial, the link is posted above
The code for PF and Matmos is so old and out dated . OreCruncher has merged the PF and MATMOS ideology into a more superior mod in Dynamic surroundings that he is actively working on , the mod is just so much more and far easier to understand and configure . Until he has a port for 1.11.2 use my unofficial 1.11.2 compile at link above . There is so much more in Orecrunchers current code to look forward to in an Official 1.11.2
Check out version 1.10.2 for a taste of whats going to be in the next release
Edit : OreCruncher has released the 1.11.2 version of D.S

Just tried Dynamic surroundings.
Maybe it's the fact that I used Matmos before, and got used to it I like it more than ds. Sure, instant transitions are better and easier configuration is a plus, but I can't say it is a direct upgrade, rather a revision of this great mod.
Had it included the matmos already it would have been easier to switch, but until then this seem like a better mod. Plus the underwater sound is better here.
yeah, dynamic sounds keeps being glitchy for me. Like the sounds have weird transitions and get stuck sometimes. Some of the sounds are not loud enough either :/ I prefer this RN

In the mod menu look for the DS config , then either raise the global sound factor to as high as you'd like , or raise each individual sound , there are much more sounds now . OreCruncher just released a 1.11.2 yesterday , mine was code from 11 months ago . It's hard when you invest your self in learning something and then the coders change things around . Like coming home to find all the furniture moved around , it might be a lot better , but you still have to re-learn the layout or trip on everything . Become adaptable . D.S . is so much better and it will become ever so much more .
The rewrite by GVG_Vitalli , a combined PF and MATMOS replacement , has not been worked on since Solace's GIT was forked . The source is a mess and I know I wont be doing any updates .
Try this , maybe the link shortener is stopping you
You can find the config under mods in game . The global sound multiplier is set at .05 , but you can change loudness of any sounds there .
Ok, I've gotten to my old account using my old computer and I have been able to access the OneDrive with only one single problem: there is no version 1.11.2 version of MATMOS & PF. I am aware of Dynamic Surrondings, however I much prefer the original soundings of MAtmos and would also love to add the extension to it as well. I'm not sure if this is a mistake or just my computer, but as of right now I am unable to access 1.11.2 of the mod.

Great, thank you. One last question I have. I was wondering where the resource pack to the extra sounds (the extension packs) were and if you do know, could I have the link to the website?

Just my 2 cents. Thank you for updating it btw!
