Hey and welcome to a community created puzzle map project! Since (in my opinion) the minecraft community is very helpful and creative. I am trying to setup a project where the community builds an old school puzzle map, this means that it is forbidden to use commandblocks, hoppers, redstone comparators and droppers. Yes this maybe sounds boring to you but for people like me who are playing Minecraft for over 4 years now it is definitely appriciated and it would be fun to explore the world of custom maps like it was 4 years ago. After some research i came up with an idea that still can be changed to whatever the community thinks is the best.

The storyline: You wake up in an unfamiliar empty space. The only thing you see are six buttons spread across the room, you decide to try and push all of these buttons. You freeze a little when you see a door opening in front of you. You stumble upon another room and here you are, thinking by yourself what you were doing before you awoke in this facility. A voice draws your attention and tells you that it is impossible for them to give you any information about how you've gotten here. The only thing they tell you is that they will need to test a couple of things before they can give you any information. She goes over the rules with you and then asks you if you are ready. Since you're here you decide to not counter them and start your tests straight away, you finish the puzzle and step into an elevator. The voice says goodbye and wishes you goodluck before it fades away.
How it works
Each player can create one puzzle for the map. When you are interested in doing this you will need to fill out the application below. The genre of your room is very important since i have to plan it so there are no rooms of the same genre connecting to eachother. When you are accepted for building a test room i will invite you on my server (there will never be more than two people building their room on the server), you will be getting a whitelist. When you come online i will give you a spot where you can build your room. This room will always be connected to another room so make sure you keep that in mind! After you have created your room you will be de-whilelisted otherwise it wouldn't be fun playing this map if it comes out.

My server is port forwarded thus no Hamachi needed.
The map will be released on this account when finished.
EVERYONE who helped on this map will be given credit in the post and in the map itself.
You will be white-listed on the server once accepted as builder, you will be de-white-listed when your room is finished.

The map is being build on minecraft version 1.7.9.
The time in the map will always be 18000 ticks (night) no matter what.
Natural mob spawning is disabled in the world, mobs can only spawn through spawners or eggs.

I would like to say I am proficient at building, good enough to make to make cool bases and room designs at least. I'm not the best, but I can design pretty well. Enough to make a cool puzzle room anyway

I was thinking a sort of maze or puzzle platformer in which you have to hit different switches around a room and figure out certain things you have to do in the right order to progress (It's hard to explain here but you will probably understand once you actually see it). I don't have a specific genre in mind, but I could probably build any genre relatively well as long as it doesn't involve too much detail.

I would love to build an old style puzzle map, it sounds right up my alley! I loved classic minecraft maps, back when things were simple, before all these complicated commands and when the most advanced thing you could do with command blocks was teleport and give players items.

How good are you at building and what is your experience: Depends on what i am building. If i am building a house that looks amazing, id fail. if i built something that involves redstone or command blocks, id do decent. So id say a 7.5 out of 10.

Did i say anything about your age? i don't think so. the problem is that i can't set my properties of my server to allow cracked users, EULA and stuff like that.
How good am I at building.. I can build well I think, good enough for a map, definitly not good enough for things like hypixel or wynncraft (xD)

A genre, I prefer CTM, a hard room filled with mobs.. but.. it's a room, I can't make a CTM genre of that room (CTM is survival-like) So I go for a hard adventure room, custom mobs, custom potions. Oh and, may I use commandblocks in it?
